“We went to dinner tonight for my stepson‘s birthday. One person ordered the Mojito Mocktail and another ordered the pear martini. Both said their drinks were tasty. We had the spinach queso dip as an appetizer, and that did not disappoint. My stepson ordered the prime rib and the stuffed baked potato. The prime rib must’ve been an inch thick! And the stuffed baked potato was ginormous. My husband ordered the baby back ribs. And they were cooked to perfection. They did not fall off the bone, thankfully. They had a nice bite. And the sauce was delicious. My mom had the Cajun trout. She said it was full of bones, unfortunately. The lighting was very dim in the restaurant and she couldn’t tell what she was eating. So she had to pack it up and bring it home. Although she did say what little fish she got to eat was tasty. The southern coleslaw was tasteless and a disappointment. I had the Ahi tuna salad. I asked for dressing on the side. When it came, there was a huge mound of lettuce. I did see the ahi and the big half of avocado on top of the lettuce. But about a third into my salad, I finally discovered wasabi, the wonton crisps, and the pickled ginger. It was not a good way to present the salad. At all. The ahi was prepared perfectly, and it tasted great with the dressing, ginger, avocado and wasabi. Just wished I discovered the latter sooner! The complementary birthday carrot cake was super moist and delicious. Overall, we had a great time at the restaurant.“

The worst thing about Hernando's Hideaway is having to leave when the party is over. Every time I have been to The Hideaway, it is an escape to another era.“

“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“Loved the food, drinks, service, the experience. Food was remarkable: unique combinations of ingredients, appealingly presented, textures, flavors, all outstanding. We especially enjoyed the corn ribs, brussels, corn mash, and pork belly. Meat options plentiful but a vegetarian could be very happy here. Also the cocktails. I always want to enjoy a restaurant’s unique cocktails but usually end up disappointed. We loved Thoughts of Mary Jane (tequila base), Walk on By (a couple of tequilas and yellow chartreuse as primary notes), and a black Manhattan type concoction (name forgotten), with navy strength rum, rye, and other warm notes. Our server was great with the recommendations and keeping our time frame, needing to be put in time for a grizzlies game. All in all, a revelation. Hope this place stands the test of time. Only minor beef: so many ingredients I couldn’t identify. Makes you feel a little foolish when you need to ask about one or more ingredients from every dish or cocktail. Hopefully I learned a thing or two. Oh and remember, eat the corn but not the corn ribs. lol“

“The food was good, service was quick, drinks were generously poured. I ordered blackened salmon with my salad, but received grilled salmon. Those were the 2 options... blackened or grilled. However, the grilled salmon was delicious as well.

Why the 4? When you first walk in, the greeting area could use some attention (cleaning, painting, repair). The floor feels and looks like they haven't been cleaned since the day they were layed.

Would I go back? Yes. But, I would like to see what that kitchen looks like, or do I?“

“Went on a Friday and got the pot roast, turnip greens, fried okra, and sweet tea. It was just what I have been missing from Southern food. Absolutely delicious and big portions! I never had to ask for a refill of tea, my glass was always full and I was definitely drinking a lot of it! All of the staff is friendly. Will definitely go back.“

But the Owner suggested Grilled rice & fried okra. It was amazing. I did notice everyone who pulled up was ordering this Strawberry Hennessey drink. I will try that my next visit. I left a small tip and the Owner seem some appreciative. If you're in the Frayser area stop by and get you a plate of Tender lamb Chops.“

“I went to this fabulous restaurant for Mother's Day, with family, and again today, and I have to say, everything was amazing, the food was incredible , I had an amaretto sour, it was the best, I ever had, this service was without a doubt, impeccable, we never had to for one thing, the waitress, came to ask us, if we needed anything, so many times, you would have thought, we were her only customers, she was awesome, I will be going back in the very near future, they most definitely deserve 5 stars.“

“I hope I’m leaving the review for the right place. It’s been several years since I was in Memphis. Stopped in here because the sign said best Pizza in Memphis. Sat at the bar with the other patrons and the atmosphere was great. Owner came out and told me about his club across the street. And of course I had to try the pizza. The pizza took a while to cook, but it was worth it. Crust to crust covered in cheese and toppings.

If I find myself back in Memphis, this will be one of must visit spots. Anytime someone says they are going to Memphis, I tell them to go to the restaurant across the street from the green and yellow club.“

“I like to have business lunches at Seasons because the service is quick, the food is good, and the cost is reasonable. I made a reservation and asked to be seated at a booth in the bar. I intentionally arrived a few minutes before my reservation as I was meeting someone I did not know and did not want them to have to wait for me. When I arrived, I explained to the hostess that my guest, whom I did not know, would be meeting me. She assured me my guest would be led to my table once she arrived. I was led to a booth in the very back of the bar where it was difficult to see people arriving. After about 10 minutes, I went back to the hostess to remind her I was meeting someone, I told her my guest's name, and I was once again assured my guest would be bought to my table. Several minutes later, the hostess leads a woman to the booth next to mine. The woman tells the hostess she was meeting someone. We both sat alone for another 5 minutes before we both started to get out from our booths to ask if we were meeting each other. We were! Very embarrassing and both of us sat alone unnecessarily. This was very unprofessional on the part of the host staff who could have easily asked my guest her first name, assuming they paid any attention to my request.“

“This was my 1st time at this location and probably my last, on a Friday night at 8pm the place was dead, no one probably 10 ppl. The food was average but let me tell you about the drinks. Someone is cutting cost! We order a jack and coke and go some CHEAP VERY cheap WHISKEY, we also go Tito and water and it tasted like BLUE TOP! Maybe if they had of let us get a few drinks in it could have passed.“

“Had so much fun on Friday the 3rd we came back on the 4th as well. Our first trip to Beale st and loved it. Food was awesome and came out quick. Shout out to Maddie who took awesome care of us. That gal will hustle and is fun. When we came back Saturday and saw her again it was a no brainer and asked for her section. Yep made another great night. The live music was great they play great and engaged the crowd. Couldn’t have been better guys Our trip was just to see Memphis and Beale street in particular and it was a huge success. Next trip and Silky O’Sullivans is top of our list of must do items.“
