Let’s set expectations correctly. This is not a life-changing meal. No angels sang. No one wept. But for an airport cafe? It’s solid. Respectable. Competently executed.

Eggs are cooked to order on a flat top. Sausage and toppings are actually cooked there, not reanimated from a steam tray. The bagels and muffins come from a bakery (as they should), and the whole operation feels like someone cared at least a reasonable amount.

This morning’s order: a simple egg muffin with cheddar and Canadian ham. Warm, balanced, did what it was supposed to do. Paired with a Tropicana orange juice because sometimes you just lean into the moment.

They’ve got coffee, espresso, and even a blended juice bar with fruit blended to order, which feels wildly ambitious for an airport in the Tri-Cities and deserves mild applause.

It’s good food. Not incredible. But good.
And sometimes, especially before a flight, that’s exactly what you want.“

“I enjoyed lunch here with my dad on a Wednesday afternoon. There was not a wait for seating but they were fairly busy while we were there. The chicken and dumplings were very good and service was prompt and friendly. The kitchen was running behind and our food took awhile but they communicated with us along the way. “Service and food were both top notch. I ordered the grilled tuna sandwich, and it was exceptional. I expected tuna salad on toast, but was served a large tuna steak on a bun. It was so big I cut it in two, with the intent to take half home. Nope. I ate it all.“

“We absolutely LOVE Drakes!! We went yesterday (Wednesday), around 2pm and service was fast. I don’t remember our waiters name, but she had tattoos and was extremely pretty. “Jeremy needs to be given a raise ! As a business owner , I know how hard it is to find good people that put the customer first, and this guy knows customer service ! Ordered take out, he stopped by to make sure I was taken care of and immediately offered my son and I drink on the house just because ! “Saturday, June 20, My son and I went for his birthday celebration. We understood completely with no reservation that we waited an hour and a half… Which we did happily, they had great entertainment in the bar.. Although when we did get seated, I would assume there just weren’t enough servers. Many tables were empty, but we waited two hours for our dinner….. No reason given just very apologetic and comped and appetizer and offered to comp a dessert, but after sitting there that long we were ready to go… I don’t know if they’re celebrity chef that had walk-through we seen made the problem.. But we were very disappointed.. I’ve had several over-the-top experiences there. We definitely will go back. I just needed to get this off my chest… Thank you for your attention“

“This is a quaint spot with good home cooking. You can't beat the price. It is not what you would expect if you are not a local. So if you are from the city, then I can not give this spot 5 stars for you. But if you are from the country, this is a 5 star spot. Grab a drink from the cooler, go to the counter to place your order and have a seat. We stopped in for dollar hot dog day.

Parking: We found parking in front and walked right in. Would be easy access for a wheelchair.“

“Tried for the first time tonight! So good and very reasonable to feed my 3 big guys and myself! The pulled pork is good even without the sauce but the sauce is great! The Carolina vinegar based sauce is good too! The beans and tater tots were great! Great option for those crazy evenings with 3 different sports going on and a hungry family on a budget.“

“Ordered delivery for lunch at work. I ordered the four cheese melt and the broccoli cheddar soup. It wasn't horrible, I just wish the soup would've been warm andbhad broccoli pieces in it. The sandwich was also cold and it barely had cheese on it. I did think that they used sliced cheese on their sandwiches instead of shredded cheese which I didn't like. I was looking forward to trying this for the first time but I don't think I'll try again. I just didn't like it.

“One of the best Waffle Houses I have ever eat at for sure 💯 I had the BEST waffle I have ever had my whole life so when I tell ya that you need to give this place a try you won't regret it!! Because they have the best food in town and one heck of a cook in the a.m. hours... Don't forget to stop by people and thank you Waffle House for the best tasting food!! 😋“

“This location is clean every time I eat here. The staff are very friendly, and management is very attentive. The cooks do a wonderful job, and I like the food. I never see anyone wasting their time. I have had to wait to be seated before, as I understand the host helps with TOGO orders and might be bagging someone’s food, but he never keeps me more than a couple of minutes. He is a very polite gentleman. Overall, this is a clean and welcoming place to eat!“
