“There is a breakfast spot in the Tri-Cities that requires an airline ticket, a boarding pass, and at least one shoe removal to access.
This makes it, by default, the most exclusive restaurant in town.
Welcome to Tailwinds.
Let’s set expectations correctly. This is not a life-changing meal. No angels sang. No one wept. But for an airport cafe? It’s solid. Respectable. Competently executed.
Eggs are cooked to order on a flat top. Sausage and toppings are actually cooked there, not reanimated from a steam tray. The bagels and muffins come from a bakery (as they should), and the whole operation feels like someone cared at least a reasonable amount.
This morning’s order: a simple egg muffin with cheddar and Canadian ham. Warm, balanced, did what it was supposed to do. Paired with a Tropicana orange juice because sometimes you just lean into the moment.
They’ve got coffee, espresso, and even a blended juice bar with fruit blended to order, which feels wildly ambitious for an airport in the Tri-Cities and deserves mild applause.
It’s good food. Not incredible. But good.
And sometimes, especially before a flight, that’s exactly what you want.“

“If you're having a bad day or good day, it'll only get better if you have a meal with Andrew and the staff. The food is amazing and they make you feel like family. I've been eating in this little place since it was Rex Hotdogs (30 yrs or so ago)and so glad it's still one of the best places in Bristol to eat.“

“Traveling back to Feorgia and we decided to stop at the Pinnacle for dinner.
We chose Aubrey's and we are so happy we did!
Jessie, our server, took great care of us and provided fabulous service .

“We absolutely LOVE Drakes!! We went yesterday (Wednesday), around 2pm and service was fast. I don’t remember our waiters name, but she had tattoos and was extremely pretty. She was so wonderfully sweet!! She took the time to explain the menu, what she recommended and to tell us about their ingredients. Def recommend Drakes in Bristol, TN!!“

“They have some delicious sandwiches. I love that you can add or subtract items based on your preference. They have lots of different sides. I love the tots. I usually go for lunch during the week and the ladies that work there are really on the ball. Super nice while also being great at their jobs.“

“We are new to the area and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was awesome!! We got the Reuben (YUM - packed with meat), chicken quesadillas (super tasty and large portion) and bacon cheeseburger with fries - fresh and juicy. I highly recommend - the prices were not bad either.“

“My sister and I go there when we're craving a really good burger! They have yet to disappoint, the staff is always in a good humor, and their burgers are the Best in this area. (Bristol, TN) We did go to the one in Johnson City, once, won't go back. Bristol Applebee's rocks!“

“This is a quaint spot with good home cooking. You can't beat the price. It is not what you would expect if you are not a local. So if you are from the city, then I can not give this spot 5 stars for you. But if you are from the country, this is a 5 star spot. Grab a drink from the cooler, go to the counter to place your order and have a seat. We stopped in for dollar hot dog day.
Parking: We found parking in front and walked right in. Would be easy access for a wheelchair.“

“Tried for the first time tonight! So good and very reasonable to feed my 3 big guys and myself! The pulled pork is good even without the sauce but the sauce is great! The Carolina vinegar based sauce is good too! The beans and tater tots were great! Great option for those crazy evenings with 3 different sports going on and a hungry family on a budget.“

“This is the cleanest and most well ran Waffle House I've been in and I've been all over the country. Our server Justin was great and the staff all said hello the moment we walked in. I can't emphasize how clean. Tables were cleared and cleaned the moment parties got up and the food was fast and delicious. 👌🏼🧇“

“Came here for the first time this morning. We’ve been in TN for 2 years and we just found this place. Wish we would have found it sooner. This place is a clean as a whistle and the food comes out hot and plenty. I had country fried steak and eggs with pancakes and husband had the big steak omelette with toast. The wait staff and hostess made us feel welcomed from the time we entered. Don’t sleep on this place. You won’t regret it.“

“I got the lemon pepper salmon and it was probably the best salmon I’ve ever had in a while. The coleslaw wasn’t that good and the broccoli was too hard for my liking but other than that it was great. The women’s bathroom is clean and the service was awesome we had 10 people and the guy who took our order got everything perfect“
