“Not only does Mad Priest have quality coffee, but they put every consideration possible into their coffee, especially their service. They all went above and beyond with haste to answer any and all questions and concerns I had regarding my order. They also source their coffee with care and roast it to the utmost perfection, so i know that I am always getting the best coffee I can ask for.Whether you are a fan of blended coffee or single origin, Mad Priest will convert you from the evil ways of mass-produced coffee into loving the local coffee roaster that treats each bean with tender loving care.”
“I believe we tried two kind of flavors: Coffee Chocolate and one with peach vanilla icing. These were fantastic donuts that reminded me of a local place back home that use to make fresh donuts. With a name like Duck Donuts, how could we not try it.....being avid Duck fans : )”
“Made our first trip from out of town to give it a try. Really enjoyed what I ordered and staff was friendly. The Buddha bowl I ordered was delicious! Very fresh and flavorful and loaded with yum. I’d visit again so I can try other dishes. Atmosphere is inviting as well. I have 4/5 because prices are a bit much for servicing size.”
“I adored this cute little quaint bakery during my trip here. Its located along the main street of the city. Theres a small parking lot and you get 2 hours free if you validate inside the bakery. If you get unlucky and find not spots, theres another parking lot further down and street parking. They had so much variety in pastries, including the cruffin! Everything looked so delicious but I was only able to try the chocolate croissant which was buttery and perfectly flaky.”
“Today while on vacation we stopped by Downtown Dough after touring the Tennessee Aquarium. My son is a Type 1 Diabetic and we always search for keto desserts when we go out of town. He got the coconut, almond, chocolate chip ice cream and then 2 keto cookie dough bars to eat later. My husband and I both got some ice cream and it was all delicious! The ice cream did not run his sugar up and it was a great treat. The store owner was super nice and very helpful in choosing some ice cream that was lower in carbs. There are lots of delicious options if you want sugary confections as well! I highly recommend stopping by for a treat if you are in Chattanooga!”
“This place is a excellent tea shop to sit down and take a moment to de-stress and spend a little quality time with your significant other. Couches and high back chairs along the walls allow for intimate conversation. Soft music playing sets the tone for a relaxing atmosphere.”
“If you are tired of ordinary, run-of-the-mill donuts, head over to Tastee King where you will find spectacular creations with fresh fruit made in house daily. Their cinnamon rolls are buttery soft with a nice balance of cinnamon and glaze. They also have fantastic coffee. There is truly nothing better than donuts and rolls made fresh every day. Great parking and super friendly staff. My grandson and I had a cinnamon roll, chocolate covered twist, and chocolate milk for less than $5.”
“Reasonably priced and lovely inside. Only suggestion: refills on lattes. But they let me get a coffee refill instead, and unlike every other coffee shop on earth, they actually gave me a reasonable amount of oat milk (instead of just informing the coffee that oat milk exists). That's a lot of why I'm leaving 5 stars.”
“The food was so good that it's hard to describe. The Three Little Pigs omelette was incredible, the grits were super creamy and seasoned perfectly, the eggs Benedict with the shrimp was amazing, and the biscuits and gravy was excellent. The service was a little slow, but that happens at other place too. I will definitely be eating here again!”
“I was passing through Chattanooga and stopped for lunch. The entire menu is vegan. I had the bbq sandwich- I went with the tofu option vs the seitan. Sandwich was great, but what really blew my mind was the side of garlic mashed potatoes. The service was great. I could tell the server was really busy, but they did a great job of taking care of everyone and seemed very knowledgeable about menu items.”
“A great spot in downtown Chattanooga. The coffee here is a bit more light and less rich but still quite good. Seems like a great spot to meet and study, but there appears to be a lot going around it, including a ministry service that is displayed in one of the rooms.”
“Yes, their location seems like it’s a rough side of town, and the buildings appear as though they are not inhabited. It is historic. The area is making a comeback. As I looked closer I could see the Allgood sign on the window and people moving around. I had searched for them on Google. Much to my delight, the interior is tastefully done and I donated my books I had brought. Then I realized Jackie, the owner had a cafe as well in the shop and I needed lunch. She is a very warm, friendly person running the business that her late grandmother had owned. I ordered her chicken salad recipe on a croissant which was loaded with the salad, lettuce and tomato. Bon Appetite!!It was tasty! She made me a berry flavored drink which was very good. I only wish I live closer to Chattanooga so that I could frequently eat there. I am well over an hour away. I highly recommend this store! I will be back whenever I am in town.??”
“My family and I were looking for a place that was unique and different from the norm. Well we sure found it. The food was fantastic and the staff was super friendly! The atmosphere was very peaceful as well. We will be going back when we are in town again!”
“Everybody is so kind and friendly! The coffee is amazing. Would rave about this place! Unfortunately, I've had to lessen my visits because I believe the prices were raised (probably because they realize they were better than most coffee shop chains haha, so not even mad), it seems they take a longer time to make coffee when the season changes, they did change the recipe on my favorite pastry item. :/ Still a good place”
“Excellent cafe with some of the best roasts in Chattanooga! They roast from this location and fill the neighborhood with that toasty bean smell, they bottle(can?) their own flash chilled cold coffee and offer a great selection of sparkling espresso drinks. If you are looking for solid coffee in the city this is the place to go.My only critique is that the inside space is a bit tight and dark. But as an alternative they have a nice little outdoor seating garden that is great if the weather is nice!”
“Had the BEST experience here today while in town. They have a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and lots of flavors/options for your coffee. I tried their seasonal Maple Brown Sugar latte and it was amazing!Dietary restrictions: All of their baked goods are vegan and they have gluten free donuts! They also have all the milk options you can think of.”
“I love to look up local places when traveling, and we were just traveling through Chattanooga when I found The Spot. I won't lie, I was a bit worried when the gps took us through the neighborhood, but when we drove up to The Spot we knew we had to try it. The decor and vibe is just a cool place. We stopped in for lunch and had a veggie burger and chicken salad sandwich. Both were awesome! Nothing too heavy since we were getting back on the road. It's an order at the counter type of place and then the food is brought to you. It was ready pretty quickly, even with ordering a veggie burger. They also have Wi-Fi which was nice, since we were still planning our trip.”
“This place is fantastic. The inside feels like eating in a tree house. The yellow submarine is delicious. It's listed in the salad section, but is a sandwich. Love the mate lattes too. It's a fun and unique dinning experience.Kid-friendliness: It's not super fast service, but they have cups with lids for kids, and good kids meal options. The noise level is such that my kids don't bother anyone even when wiggling around.”
“The staff and coffee are great here. Service leaves nothing to be desired, and a consistently good cup of coffee is no small feat. I love the ‘Shred’ roast; my wife and I buy it in bulk to brew at home. It’s ruined darker roasts for me! Glad to he in a community where such a quality business is run.”
“Great service and had an absolutely delicious latte! I would recommend the milk and honey with oatmilk. However, only four stars because we were disappointed with the lack of backed goods and food to order. Definitely leans more towards being a coffee shop rather than a cafe.”
“The coffee here was light and smooth, while the atmosphere was absolutely great. Right across the river from the bluff view art district, it takes advantage of its location next to the park and the bridge and creates a great atmosphere. The menu was also quite large too.”
“Much like all the other stories on here, I drive by everyday and finally decided to stop. I drink black coffee everyday and I’ve never realized how bitter gas station coffee is until now. The lady at the window was very helpful in helping me pick my coffee as I’m a coffee shop noob. This stuff is the bomb dot com and surprisingly affordable. 100% will be back”
“I didn't have the time to try any of the coffees here because of a short visit with other friends. This building was a thrift store in the past but now is not only a coffee shop but it's also a church named True Life Church with lots of space for worship singers and a worship service plus meeting rooms and a children's room. Lots of God's love is shared here in this wonderful place in East Ridge, TN!”
“We arrived about 15 minutes before closing but the barista was welcoming and friendly. I ordered an Iced Lavender Latte with oat milk. It was good, but I felt like there was something off. I don't know maybe the oat milk wasn't as creamy as I'd like or there wasn't much oat milk added, or maybe there was too much lavender syrup. I'd have to try an iced latte again from here to see how I'd feel about it again, probably with soy milk or something. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't crazy about it.I loved the interior: the dark wood, assorted plants, and colors. The design of the logo and word signs are so aesthetically pleasing. The overall atmosphere of the place felt cozy and cool. I'd come back here again!”
“One of my favorite spots in Chattanooga! It is in a great location, has its own bakery, has created the best atmosphere, and its sweet are second to none. The coffee is much more in the bitter side but has a great taste after a few sips. Many will say this place is like a little taste of Europe in Tennessee. I recommend the tiramisu and to go to the art gallery’s nearby.”
“Actually found this one off of another person that has to be gluten free. Was cautiously optimistic. Didn't disappoint. Amazing chicken, amazing waffles, and she sent me home with Oreo cake because I couldn't eat anymore. Can't wait for tonight. Must see for anyone with Celiac or a sensitivity.”
“Love it. Excellent oat milk latte, lots of space and I like the location. Slightly off the beaten path but that’s part of what makes it cool.Mean Mug has been my favorite latte until now, and if. BP&P keeps it consistent they will take over the number one spot.”
“Melody and her crews are the best in service. If you go more than 2 times I can almost guarantee you they will remember what you got the last time. Awesome people and the coffee is the best in Chattanooga……this was a salted Carmel mocha ”
“Stopped on way to aquarium and was pleasantly surprised to find an independent coffee shop. We ordered a cold, brew, cappuccinos, and a chai latte and every drink was spot on. Delicious! Coffee was rich and chocolaty -no burnt flavor! Barista was pleasant and helpful. Go buy their coffee and enjoy!”
“I love Pete's coffee! Was in town for Motocross festival and the hubby and I stepped in for coffee. Very friendly staff striking up conversation! Especially Anna she's a great barista! The coffee is phenomenal I recommend the Iced vanilla latte. Very yummy ??”
“Be Caffeinated in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is my all-time favorite coffee shop whenever I'm in the area! Their strong involvement in the community is so inspiring, and it's clear that they care about making a positive impact. Plus, I can't get enough of their mocha frappe--it's hands down the best I've ever had! If only they had a branch in Florida, I'd be there every day. Keep being amazing, Be Caffeinated!”
“Food was delicious! Service was so personable and friendly as well as attentive (but without hovering)! It was a great last stop considering at least half the places we dined at in Chattanooga during our trip were busts. We were so happy to end on a high note! A little more high end, fancier food but yummy nonetheless! Our toddler enjoyed every bite of waffle, berries, chicken, and home fries. I had a tasty Nutella latte. We wanted to commemorate our Chattanooga trip and excellent dining experience at Milk & Honey so we bought a cute little mug before leaving. Highly recommend.”
“Really nice place to hangout and get some work done. Very comfortable seating with good charging setups. There's a small collection of board games, including Settlers of Catan. The place is owned by a Young Life organization. As a result there are often small groups of young folks hanging out here. But this hasn't deterred me at all from returning, even as someone not affiliated with the organization or church. The staff are always kind and welcoming. Very much appreciate the work and chill space!”
“I come to this place way too much and always get the Coconut Coldbrew. So many great seating options including covered outside seating, which is super nice with a baby. Love everyone who works here. Can’t recommend enough if you’re in the area.”
“The mean mug is an authentic neighborhood coffee/tea gathering place serving delicious breakfast, lunch and bakery items. There’s comfortable seating inside and several tables outside to meet with friends or check your mail. They have numerous coffee drink options and wonderful tea choices as well. It’s become my ‘new’ favorite morning place.”
“For the love of Ice Cream, visit the Ice Cream Show!!! Not only were the staff very helpful and welcoming, but the atmosphere and design of this place were great! Its very clean and taken care of! The ice cream was amazing, so good and hits the spot. All of the choices make it hard to pick from, but that's never a bad thing! Might just take a little longer to figure it out, but I'd rather have many options than just the normal flavors. You can go wrong! Definitely wished we had a shop closer to home!”
“Probably my favorite café! I love coming here to write and study, and the green apple hoot energy drink is my favorite. All of the employees have been super nice, the food is good, and the atmosphere is great. I only wish it were closer to where I lived so I could come more :)”
“This is going to be a short review. We came here since it was close by to the charger, but we got a Golden Latte to go. It was simple but I think it was pretty refreshing. The interior is nice, and Mean Mug has a full menu at least for a cafe type of menu. One of the sandwiches did catch my eye, but I decided against it. Overall, Mean Mug was quick and convenient. If I ever come back, I would stop by.”
“This place is magical! You wouldn’t believe there were 30+ cats living here because it is so clean! We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back whenever we’re in town or passing through! The staff was so kind and attentive. The cats were awesome! 10/10 would recommend!”
