“Title: A Taste of the South: Jake's Restaurant Review Jake's Southern Restaurant is a gem for Southern cuisine lovers. During our first visit with my wife and daughter, we were greeted warmly and immediately immersed in a charming atmosphere. The menu offered a tempting array of Southern classics, and our choices did not disappoint. From crispy fried chicken to savory shrimp and grits, each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with authentic flavors. However, the standout was undoubtedly the eclair cake dessert - a delightful combination of creamy filling and flaky pastry that left us craving more. What truly sets Jake's apart is its exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable, catering to our needs and making us feel valued throughout. We're already planning our next lunch and a romantic date night, eager to return for more Southern delights. Jake's Southern Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of the South served with genuine Southern hospitality.“

“I have been waiting to try this little hidden gem. It’s located very close to 386 and they are only open Fri-Sat-Sun. I’m always looking for soul food places in my little town. I haven’t lived here long and only venture out when I’m hungry. That being said this place is right around the corner, back in the cut. Two streets over, 3 minute drive, and I didn’t even know.I like their concept; a meat & 2 or AYCE buffet. It reminds me of those Sundays Church service where you get to eat down stairs when there’s a visiting church. The set up is nice. Our family ordered Chicken and Dumplings, greens, Mac-n-cheese, meat loaf, green beans and hot water cornbread . Everything was really good. Some of the food had great flavors just different than what my pallet is used to. I will definitely go back.Their menu changes daily. I want to try mostly everything except the pork. They also serve chitterlings and pigs feet, for those interested. I’ll never review them, never had them never will.NOTICE: They do not accept cash; card only. I didn’t learn that until we checked out.“

“I ordered a bacon cheese burger and the the patty had to be close to 1/3 of a pound plus lots of bacon that was nice and crispy. The fries were thick and cooked to perfection. The waitress was very kind and the price was cheaper than most places for a burger so thick.Parking: Theirs parking infront of the place amd across the road.Wheelchair accessibility: No curbs so can just roll on in.“
