“I usually avoid chains,but options were limited in this town when I rolled through. I was pleasantly surprised, for sure. Everyone was nice and friendly. My server,Bailey, was amazing and attentive. “I never post to the internet but I am posting my first restaurant review ever. We enjoyed a fabulous meal this evening at Timber. My only regret is we did not find this restaurant sooner. I will say that this restaurant is for the more adventurous diner. We decided to create our own tapas dinner. From the starter menu we chose warm stuffed dates and the spicy potato hand pie. From the small plate menu we ordered the brussel sprouts, and they may be the best brussel sprouts I have ever eaten. From the main menu we decided to share the braised chicken legs. Every part of this dining experience was fantastic. Iris provided outstanding service and guidance with the menu. Timber is not the fanciest restaurant but the food was incredible. Iris told us that parts of the menu change every week and I would highly suggest making reservations ahead of time. It is not the type of restaurant where I will eat every week, but it will certainly be on our rotation. They do have hamburgers and fried chicken sandwiches for the less adventurous diners. I truly hope that others in Johnson City discover this gem and support it. Wow just wow! We used to drive to Asheville to eat at restaurants like the Admiral but there is no reason to make that trip anymore. Enjoy!“

“This is a quaint spot with good home cooking. You can't beat the price. It is not what you would expect if you are not a local. So if you are from the city, then I can not give this spot 5 stars for you. But if you are from the country, this is a 5 star spot. Grab a drink from the cooler, go to the counter to place your order and have a seat. We stopped in for dollar hot dog day.
Parking: We found parking in front and walked right in. Would be easy access for a wheelchair.“

“We have eaten at White Duck Taco locations in Asheville, NC, and Chattanooga, TN, so when we saw there was one in Johnson City - attached to Yee Haw Brewing no less! - we knew this was our dinner spot on a recent trip. Did not disappoint. All the tacos are good but we loved the Bahn Mi and the Shrimp and Grits tacos! White Duck’s menu is fun, creative, affordable, and always tasty.“
“Great place to eat. Very caring people to work for. When busy they don't care one bit to jump in were needed. I can say out of all the jobs I've had in my life I don't dread going into work. I'm always anywhere from 20 to 15 mins early. I don't care to stay over. Very positive place to work as well. Everyone works together and always encourage each other.“
