“Just went to The Candied Rib Company for lunch and was blown away! I saw on Facebook that they had a sirloin kabob over rice as their special and thought I'd swing by while doing some errands. When I got there, I saw their menu and had to try their smash burger, also. While I was waiting the few minutes for my food to come out, I was offered a couple tastings of their sauces. Let me tell you, their Gold was the absolute best I've ever had. Perfect tang, perfect flavor. The burger came out first and was juicy and flavorful with perfect pickles and sauce. I ordered it with Mac n cheese and it came prepared similar to an enchilada, wrapped in crispy cheese. Absolute perfection. Next was the sirloin and it was melt in your mouth tender and bursting with flavor. I ordered it with their fried tallow potato and it was smashed flat and perfectly seasoned and slightly crispy. I can't wait to go back and try their other options. Sweet, friendly and helpful staff, absolutely amazing food.“

“We’re big fans of Texas brisket, and I’d heard Shotgun Willy’s was the real deal — and they did not disappoint! My son and I stopped by for lunch today. By the time we arrived, they were already sold out of the cowboy caviar, chicken, and ribs (a good sign, honestly). He ordered the brisket plate with queso mac and a jalapeño cornbread muffin, and I went with the brisket sandwich and dill pickle potato salad. We ate there to soak up the full experience, and everything was delicious. The brisket had a bold, flavorful crust and was melt-in-your-mouth tender — not too fatty, just right. Honestly, it’s the best brisket we’ve had outside of Texas, and even compared to our favorite Texas spot, it would be a serious contender.“

“We’re visiting Nashville for my birthday & I found Papa Turney’s on Instagram. Man…on the way to the room my party of 7 discussed all our food & how great it was. The ribs were fall off the bone tender! The Mac & cheese, grilled cabbage, smoked wings & baked beans all got mentioned in great detail. You will not be disappointed! We certainly wasn’t.“

“We're new to Mount Juliet, so if this is super well-known, bare with me. But we just ate probably the best barbecue I've ever had. Whitt's BBQ is amazing! Hands down. The pulled pork plate with Carolina vinegar BBQ sauce, the brown sugar baked beans, the potato salad, and the even the cornbread has a unique and amazing taste and texture..all absolutely delicious. “We are here tonight as one of the things on my list I have to eat at one more time before we move to another state next week. I will start by saying I am a huge fan and have have been since he only had one shop. When I drive Uber and riders ask where to go for BBQ I always sent freer to Martin’s and to try redneck tacos with brisket. I never tell people to go to places that I don’t eat at myself. I was reading thru the reviews and this one I felt the need to respond to. Great food but feel they should give you more 🤷🏻♂️ I always like this particular type of comment. No intended disrespect to this customer. Having worked in the restaurant industry for more than 30 years, the restaurants are there to make some profits as well. The cost of giving people a “living wage” and the cost of the covid-related supply chain issues have given owners two options, raise prices and wages or be forced out of business. A well run restaurant always tried for about 30-35% food cost and about. 25% cost of labor. That left in the neighborhood of 40% to pay everything else like rent, utilities, insurance and all the other monthly bills plus all the taxes that continually rise. If you own a building with a business in it the taxes went up tremendously after everything had been shut down by covid. At the grocery store the prices of most meats have almost doubled, other prices people think have stayed the same, the packages have shrunk. We ate at this particular restaurant the commenter was rating. I ordered what was supposed to be a meal for one person with two sides. I at about 2/3 of it and had to give up. My wife couldn’t finish her regular plate with two sides. Was the price high, yes, but the food was great.“

“Called ahead and placed my order. The service was nice, the food was satisfactory, and the food was nice and ready by the time I arrived. The fish seemed like it could have been marinated a little longer, but it was still pretty good nevertheless.“

“Really enjoyed our server and the service he provided. He had a good energy. Overall food was quite good, my family really enjoyed theirs! Unfortunately I was disappointed in my egg white omelet. It was lying in a pool or grease, which was less than ideal for a “healthy” breakfast.“

“Longhorn is a casual dining establishment that as it's name implies does steaks. The many times we have gone to this location the steaks have been spot on. The cook / temperature has always been as ordered Rare+. Or just under medium rare. The seasoning on the steak is a little under salted which is as it should be, because the customer then can salt to taste. As a side we usually get the baked potato fully loaded. They salt the skin and 90% of the time the potato is cooked perfect. We usually get the ceaser salad, they do over dress the ceaser occasionally, from mildly to swimming. But the flavor is always good. The spinach artichoke dip is fantastic with the little deep fried pita chips they use. The Wait staff is always very accommodating, friendly and does a great job. Tamara, the manager is super friendly and takes great pride in this particular restaurant. The atmosphere is as any large casual dining. Open space so a "quiet" dinner shouldn't be expected as the dining area holds probably 40+ tables. We frequently dine here and will continue. Probably one of the best casual dining steak places in the area.“
