“I took some business partners to dinner here. The food was so-so. Pretty basic hibachi, nothing special. I got steak, and they ordered everything else on the menu - shrimp, fish, chicken, scallops, a few sushi rolls, etc. If you’re wanting better food, drive an hour to Bowling Green, KY and hit up Yuki. But this was convenient and I didn’t want to spend an hour in the car with these guys.“

“It's a small place and we had a long wait for brunch. We went across the street to Southern grist to wait it out. We loved the upon. It was like a Japanese carbonara. The egg salad took me back to 7/11 in Japan. We also enjoyed the tartare and katsu sando.“

“Hands down the best sushi in town. The owner is amazing and always greets me by name when I walk in. She truly makes it feel like home. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and made with care. If you have not tried it yet, you are missing out.“

“Found a nice little restaurant tucked away. The employees were super nice. This location is a decent size. It looks tiny but mighty. Definitely the mom and pop vibe that makes you feel the staff actually wants to be there. Lots of great options on the menu. From sushi to udon. The menu definitely complements each item so you really can’t go wrong. We wanted something small and light. We ordered creamy udon with chicken. A simple but delicious dish. Almost like a sweet creamy cheesy Korean Alfredo sauce with a hint of corn. Juicy onion slices. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Not overcooked had a moist texture and flavor. It’s a very simple dish not much to it just simple traditional flavors. A dish that is very easy to mess up by this was the best one I have had in a while. Very reasonably priced. All together we spend about 15 bucks each before tip. Next time when we have more time we will try more variety. They menus looks great and the liquor selection is wonderful. We definitely recommend this place.“

“I love this place, mom and pop owned. Great food, friendly service. Prices are great. For what you would pay at a fast food for junk you can have real meat, veggies and rice. Hands down a much better option. They cook everything fresh to order and have drive thru!!“

“With the amazing Sushi Kingdom across the street, I wasn't expecting this restaurant to be as good, but it was actually better! I love Sushi Kingdom for the all-you-can-eat aspect, but when I don't want that much food I come here. The sushi is better at Arigato Sayonara and so are the appetizers and hibachi. The prices are reasonable and the staff is so nice! Even something so simple as miso soup was done to perfection.“

“This is FAST, GOOD food. It's kinda surprising how good it is. Elvis is the owner and he really knows what he's doing. High quality ingredients and you can taste it when you take your first bite. He's got his team trained well. Every single time, it's perfection.
Oh, and the cheapest place in town for scallops!
Not much on atmosphere, but I found out that most of their business is drive through. Good for them. If you're a drive through kind of person, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food here.“

“I give this place a 9 out of 10. The food is served at a reasonable price. Comes out at a great temperature cooked perfectly. The one point deduction is from the fried rice. It is a bit bland but when mixed in with the teriyaki or hibachi it comes to life but I wouldn't eat it on its own. The dumplings Are also cooked to perfection the perfect amount of soft and crispy. The staff is very nice and easy on the eyes. I would definitely eat here again. It has a great flavor profile and isn't that what matters the most. I also tried the Miso soup but I don't miso soup only tried it because it was so cheap and you never know.“

“My girlfriend and I came for dinner last night and were seated after a short wait. Unfortunately, our experience started off poorly with the first chef we were assigned. After our waitress took the order, the chef came out and immediately began placing sauce cups on the grill. While pouring sauces, his hands shook violently, spilling most of it onto the grill instead of into the cups. He repeated the process a second time, leaving the grill drenched in dark sauce before even starting to cook. On top of that, the chef had the sniffles and was noticeably sniffing over the grill, which was concerning from a hygiene standpoint.
At that point, I spoke with the manager, Wayne. He listened attentively and reassured me not to worry. This conversation took less than three minutes, but by the time I returned to the table, the rice for our entire table was already served. Everyone was confused because hibachi fried rice simply doesn’t cook in under three minutes, and nobody wanted to try it.
Shortly after, Wayne returned and handled the situation perfectly. He politely asked the first chef to take a break and reassigned us to a new chef, Jeff, moving our group to another table. The difference was night and day. Jeff was fantastic—outgoing, funny, skillful, and great with the kids at our table. He turned the evening around and gave us the hibachi experience we came for. Wayne and our waitress also went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of.
While our night started off rocky, the manager and second chef completely redeemed the experience. Because of their professionalism and hospitality, we ended up having a wonderful dinner. We will definitely be returning to Mikado, and next time we’ll be sure to request Jeff as our chef.“

“We have had take out many times prior tonight and always a delicious meal. Unfortunately tonight was not! My meal was a large beef, noodles and vegetables. The plate was 80% noodles, 10 % beef, which was tasteless and chewy, % 20 vegetables which were tasteless. Will have to rethink ordering again.
Well we ordered again and the meals for both of us were outstanding! I take back what the meal prior to tonight was about. Beef was not chewy, a nice mix mixture of veggies and noodles. You have won me back to your drive for excellent food and service. 👏👏👏“
