“My wife and I drove from Wisconsin and were staying in downtown Nashville for a couple of days. We were trying to find a BBQ place but I wanted the authentic southern experience. I’m sure downtown Nashville has some great bbq places but I wasn’t looking for a tourist atmosphere. Quick google search found Papa Turney’s about a half hour outside of downtown. Walked inside and I felt at home. Very friendly helpful staff, delicious food and amazing BBQ sauce. Told the lady who took our order that it was my first time trying Collard Greens, figured it was the best time to try some real authentic southern cuisine! Ate outside overlooking the lake with a beautiful view. So happy we decided to them, will definitely be back if we find ourselves in the Nashville area again!“

The ribs was great and fall off the bone tender pork runs are great , my son demolished the pool pork slider all the size that we had were great the green beans, the mac & cheese, the coleslaw and the baked beans so if you ever in Nashville, try this place out give it a good solid nine out of 10“

“Good food & service prices was good all home cooked food cafeteria style set up dine in or plates to go Owner is even there as a server and to answer any questions. Various foods meets cooked on a grill like barbecue style smokehouse various flavors of sauces, which makes it really nice. You can get really hot. Mild at all if you like your side. All kinds of cakes, pudding, pies sitting in the dining room. You can have a two seater table of 10 if you need it. in and out parking lot very friendly country style atmosphere AXS off of Murfreesboro Road or Foster Avenue will check accessible. I know I was in one family atmosphere.

“We visited my daughters for the weekend. After being at the pool, we didn't really want to cook and wanted something quick for dinner. We stopped to get BBQ and coke slaw and it was a great choice! The BBQ was very moist, the sauce is delicious and the coleslaw was perfect and the owner is very friendly and definitely appreciated your business! “We wandered into Pucketts on a whim, we were really hungry after a long day in Nashville. When there was a wait, we figured it would be worth it, and we were right! The staff was super friendly, the food was delicious, and the portions were huge. There was also a great band playing, which we did not expect at all, but was an added bonus!!“

“If you are a person who doesn’t eat pork check out house of hickory the turkey ribs were to die for season perfectly and moist falling apart. The lemonade is awesome. The turnip grains and macaroni and cheese were really good. Coleslaw was nice and the staff were really, really nice, we were visiting from Baltimore looking for beef ribs, and couldn’t find it. They offered us the turkey ribs and they did not disappoint. The catfish was also very good but a little salty thank you. We will stop there again before we leave town.

“We decided on our morning breakfast to try here! It was amazing and the atmosphere and service was amazing…. Amazing menu options and Jams and biscuits. The Bronut was a biscuit stuffed with cheesecake, Fried Green Tomato Wrap and Pimento Cheese and Bacon Omelet was just a few menu items of amazing unique meals. We started off with a Biscuit Basket and Bronut (biscuit stuffed with cream cheese filing and deep fried and smothered in a blueberry compote) many assorted jams from mild to spicy. The pepper jams and jelly’s were amazing and flavorful. My wife had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with potatoes, my daughter had the Pimento Cheese and Bacon Omelette, our son had the Daniels Big Breakfast: and I had the bacon breakfast tacos…. All our meals were great and fulfilling. There potato’s and grits were extremely flavorful and perfect sides! I highly recommend and give this place 5 stars for service, quality and food~ Julia the Kitchen manager was amazing and very warm and welcoming! TK our server was extremely accommodating and helpful!“

“The portion is not a lot for the price you pay but the food is fresh and I think pretty tasty. The baked beans are perfectly seasoned, not too salty or sweet. The fries are fresh, crispy on outside and soft on inside with paprika season, the pulled pork is a little bit on dry side but fresh and the sausages had the snap from the rinds. The cold slaw is fresh crunchy. Overall pretty good for airport food. That or I'm very hungry.“

“We brought my son in for his 20th birthday. He loves Korean food and was his 2nd time there. This was a first for the rest of us . Everything was perfect! Our server, Elizabeth worked hard to cover multiple groups and still was attentive to everything we needed. She was knowledgeable of the menu and went above and beyond to take care of us. I was hesitant but I enjoyed the food. Our server made our evening so good and she brought out a candle lit ice cream dish for my son to celebrate his birthday. One of the best servers we’ve ever had! Highly recommend!“
