“The minute we walked in we were greeted by the locals, a lady across the table from us got up and came to remove some left over cups from the previous people and then her husband came and wiped the table clean. They do not work there, they saw how busy it was so they lend a hand. The lady that took care of us knew everyone by name and treated us like we were part of the locals. I had the best tasting pancakes I’ve had in a long time. My husband had eggs, country ham, biscuits with sausage gravy and hash browns. Everything was delicious, before we left we had to order another pancake, that is how delicious those pancakes are. I can’t express enough how welcomed we felt. I can’t wait to go back. Something that was pretty nice, while we were talking to the locals, we just finished eating and a little older man seating across from us came over and picked up our dishes and took them to the kitchen. I looked around and people did that for each other, that warmed my heart. God bless them all.”

“Dined here for the first time. Husband and his brother had Scallops. I had the 50oz T-Bone, $150.00 with a great bottle of wine. Very nicely done. This dish came with three sides from the left side of the menu excluding one dish which was explained. Long story short I ordered the $150.00 T-Bone with the three sides being the Brussell sprouts, the potatoes and the oysters. Our server c ame back to say there would be and up charge of $5 for the oysters, maybe $8, now mind you this appetizer WAS included with the offer. When the bill came there was a up charge of $10 for the oysters. So, we went from a $5 upcharge to $10 upcharge. The tip was $75.00 which is not a problem but misinformation is.”

Love the vegan quesadilla, waffles, today I got the Big Daddy burger and fries both were hot and fresh! I also enjoyed the Açaí smoothie as well. So very good with nutritional ingredients to live a vegetarian lifestyle!”

The staff is always super friendly and welcoming! If something is wrong (which is very rare) and they notice or are made aware of it they make it right quickly! “Great! I had pork BBQ tray, collard greens and BBQ beans. Everything was excellent. I tried just a little of the vinegar bbq sauce base because not usually my favorite but it was very good. I used the traditional sweet southern style sauce and it was my favorite. My husband had a brisket burger and loved it! Also the smoked Mac and cheese and cornbread pudding (think that is what they called it) very very good as well. We enjoyed banana pudding for dessert! We highly recommend!!”

“This is my FAVORITE local restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. The owners (Shengul and Bulant) and staff (especially Cheyenne and Serena) are friendly and I always walk away smiling! I highly recommend Red Meze to anyone looking for a delicious meal! Updating to add to this review: I order from this place at least once a week! The food is healthy, it is delicious, it is healing, it is made with love for their patrons, and I absolutely love them, too. I've learned that they are adding a Tapas menu! I am so delighted by this, and will likely have to start ordering more than once a week now. Please, do yourself a favor and go visit Red Meze Downtown.”

“Midcity Grill is a favorite JC restaurant featuring an excellent vegan junk-food menu and weekly vegan specials. Try the vegan fried pickles with homemade vegan ranch for a deep fried Southern specialty. The tofu sandwich is a favorite of mine - I always sub for a pretzel bun to make it extra special. They also have a hearty vegan Philly cheesesteak made using grilled seitan. Tofu, seitan, and vegan burgers are all options along with plenty of sides and fried vegan specialties like the pickles and fried portobello fingers. They have a few nice salads, too- the vegan tofu salad is good. This is a late night diner-style local favorite. They also usually have vegan cupcakes in several flavors!”

“I did a pickup order from The Roots. Part of our order was missing. I sent them a message on Facebook to question it. The person said for me to send them my address. He was literally here 10 minutes later with our missing pieces. And would not accept a tip. That’s customer service. Oh…and it was delicious! 😋”

“I've been wanting to try Fuji for a long time and tonight I went there for my birthday and I was impressed by the courteous and polite staff which was a good sign. I had seen the menu as had my girlfriend so we both knew what we wanted so we gave the waitperson, I don't know his name but he did the little bow with folded hands after taking our order which came very quickly I might add. I had a drink called Magic Peach which was very tasty and very strong, the Spring Roll which were good sized crunchy and delicious, the Veggie Gyozyas which were fried to perfection and yummy and lastly the Avocado Roll from the Classic Menu also as good as any I've had. So all in all it was great way to spend my birthday eve, I give Fuji 5 stars! I look forward to my next visit!”

“Took company to Project BBQ, everyone loved everything!! My husband and I had sampler plate, and was soooo delicious, brisket melted In my mouth, wonderful flavor, pulled pork which is my favorite was so so tender and savory, well seasoned, sausage had a great flavor, i am not a Spicy girl, but my husband devoured it!!! Staff was friendly and attentive! Will definitely be back!!”
