“I was in the Nashville location on 1/28 during my visit to the area. It was packed but everything moved quickly, efficiently and the staff was so very friendly to everyone. That didn’t stop just at the start but all throughout our time there. The lady helping us (her name was Isis, I believe) even followed back up with us on something. Her and the manager went above and beyond to take care of us on something we didn’t even ask them to. Btw, nothing happened, they were just out of something, it came back in and they took care of us. A measure most would not do but she found us and made sure to take care. Now THAT is friendly customer service! The food is so amazing, y’all. This is going to be my new joint for every single visit to Nashville from now on. Hot dayum!!“

“I have been looking for a halal fried chicken place in Nashville for so long. I spoke to the guy up front and confirmed it was zabiha halal.

The service was very friendly and kitchen was impeccably clean. They also use a pressure fryer which is awesome.

I got the nashville hot 2 pc and a nashville hot sandwich. The seasoning was amazing and it was coated very well. The crisp on the chicken was perfect and the meat was tender. The whole place seems to be run by a one man army which is impressive since I did not have to wait too long and everything was made to order.

The only thing I would suggest to put this over the top is to brine the chicken so that the seasoning or flavor can penetrate through.

“We’re hosting some friends from Spain, and we wanted to introduce them to Nashville hot chicken before they traveled home. Due to some mixups on timing, arrived about 30 minutes before closing. Although they were setting up to close, they gladly accepted our party of 9 people. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, including chicken tenders, chicken breast & thigh, catfish sandwich, and the hot chicken bowl. While most of us got mild, a few got adventurous and ordered medium or hot. The staff even gave us a side of the hottest sauce for our guests to try. They have bottled beers and a few on tap as well. We weren’t sure what we wanted, so they let us have a taste to find the right one. All of the food was delicious, and the portion sizes were quite large. We had some leftovers for lunch the next day. Admittedly, we stayed well past their 9pm closing time, but the staff never tried to rush us out or make us feel unwelcome. Our only regret was waiting too long to order one of their ice cream bars for dessert — they had already closed out the register. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you for making their Nashville hot chicken experience so awesome! And I’m glad that there’s a tasty hot chicken spot near us so we don’t have to drive into Nashville.“

“I ordered an original sandwich without butter, add mayo.. and I got a completely plain sandwich. The chicken was fire but the bun was meh. The fries got cold within 5 minutes so they were not as fresh as the chicken. The service was excellent however. Absolutely awesome staff here.“

“I always order the Grilled chicken sandwich combo and typically it's very consistent regardless of which location cooks it. Today's sandwich waste worst I've ever seen. It was greasy and about 3/4 the size it normally is. At first I was a bit frustrated partly because I already had heartburn and I knew it would make it worse but I still gave it a chance. While it looked greasy and charred more than normal it was still tasty. And while I normally eat a larger chicken breast I surprisingly had trouble finishing my sandwich and didn't eat any of my fries I normally only eat about 5 or so and my boys split the rest. Today I ate none. My son and I joked that it was all a part of God's plan, but who knows.... I would still eat here because even at the worst I've seen from chik FIL a it still bests every other fast food chain.“

“Was passing through Nashville on a road trip and ordered Nashville hot chicken tenders delivered from here. It was delicious! I’m not an expert on Nashville hot chicken, but I loved the flavor of these tenders! The price was very fair for the combo, and the fries were good. And the tenders are gigantic, so most appetites would be more than satisfied with 3 per person, and 2 per person would be enough for many (and they have an option to add an extra tender to an order if you and someone want to split a combo).

I stopped visiting here some time ago because the food had gotten less satisfying but I was driving thru edgewood and decided I haven't had a 3pc tender basket fried dipped in honey bee sauce in a long time. Everything was hot, fries were not burned and hard and the tenders weren't hard. Well done guys !“

“I was very impressed by the taste and quantity of food. Very flavorful and unique but you’re best to get it for takeout or delivery. Much like the neighborhood, the restaurant is kinda dirty and unkept. Sticky tables, dirty windows and floors, handprints, and overall just a gross place to try to enjoy your meal in.“

The prices are a little higher than at other places, but the same for all Pollo Camperos, and the standard for phenomenal food. “We ordered from the 1027 8th Ave location last night and the food was awesome. Ordered 4 16 pc meals, half extra crispy, half original recipe, with mashed potatoes, Mac and cheese, corn, Cole slaw, and biscuits. My team was in heaven. The chicken was delicious and juicy, just perfect. And the biscuits? Nice and flaky. The sides? Well, they never disappoint. This was a good size order, but the8th Ave team did an exceptional job, and I want to say “Thank You.”“

“The chicken and biscuits from Raise the Roost inside the 7-Eleven on Newtown Road and Providence are, by far, the worst I've ever had. The chicken was either overcooked and dry, with burnt outsides and —likely due to improper fryer temperatures or incorrect timer settings. The coating was thick and cakey, indicating poor preparation. Even the green beans had no seasoning or taste. I recommend not using salt if you decide to season. To top it off, the bathrooms were in horrible and smelly condition. I would've returned the food if I had time. Thumbs down! I took pictures but you cannot upload“

“Was in this location on 1/29/2025 they were having a few maintenance problems going on but they held it down. From the workers in the back to Mike and Corey working the counter and drive thru you all were great. Thanks to Andrew(the coca cola guy) who fixed the drink machine so that I was able to drink a Strawberry drink while driving back to Alabama. Hats off to all the workers GREAT JOB. NOTE TO CUSTOMERS: PATIENCE AND KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY.
