“First: I’m extremely picky about my lattes. I am sensitive to overcooked (burnt taste) beans and undercooked (sour taste) beans. I have gone here repeatedly for iced lattes and they have always provided the perfect texture and balance. They are by far (and I don’t say this lightly) providing the BEST espresso in Nashville. Second: What truly makes this cafe great is that it’s the only cafe in town that makes you feel like you’re wanted. All of these cafes built in the last 20 years are hard, cold and sterile. If you’re younger than 40, you probably don’t even remember that cafes used to be warm, social, inviting and a home for many people. New cafes are so uninviting and I feel it’s done on purpose to get you to leave so more customers come in. But the Daily Grind? It’s homey, has couches, the walls are filled with all sorts of crafty love and plants and there’s a poster on the front that lets you know this is a SAFE space for all. It’s reminiscent of the old days when you had warm social spaces where you could spend hours every day with friends playing games, drawing, talking and no one glued to their phones. I hope this cafe gets to expand and provide even more of this nostalgic homey feel and bring that needed community experience back to Nashville. Third: GREAT food and customer service on top of all of the above“
“This is a spot you want to keep going back to. Very aesthetic, clean, and a super friendly staff. I’ve always gotten cold brew here, so I’m eager to go back and get a hot coffee.
There’s a Photo Booth! Clothing and cute retail items! Space to sit and work upstairs, too.
I just love it when you can walk into an establishment and feel like they’re happy you came.
The only bummer is the last time my mom and I stopped in on a Tuesday morning (around 9:30) and they had no food ?
So if you’re looking for a bite to eat, might want to call ahead first.“

“The inside of the coffee shop is great. Full of plants and nice people. Good food. Well crafted drinks.
A bit overpriced due to add ons: adding honey and almond milk to my 12oz matcha adds $3?! It would at least be less aggregious if I could get a 16oz drink there. A 12oz drink and a burrito always seems to end up being $27.
You can't really eat or drink inside. So if you eat at the establishment, you're now getting a Gallatin Pike and Trinity intersection experience. Regular near miss crashes. Heavy horn use. It's honestly more serene to eat in your car. You'd never even think to bring a laptop there and get some work done.
They would do well to add either bamboo planters, or at least a fence/shrubbery. Then additional shade would also be beneficial. Along with monthly powerwashing.“

“Got their bagel egg and cheese, subbed micro greens and croissant ($6) and oh wow- delicious!! Also had matcha latte with oat milk and drank it all up in record time. The cafe is impeccably designed with wonderful vibes. I hope they do amazing because they're such a treat. Prices aren't too bad either!
Only thing is maybe avoid the vegan banana bread munchies, it was dry and stale - $6“

“Excellent espresso drinks. Had a latte that was naturally sweet and creamy, with beans that clearly have an origin that is distinctive. Nice spot to drink, with plentiful indoor and outdoor tables. My latte was a bit pricey, at $6.56 for a large (even comparing to my not-cheap home coffee shops in the upper west side of NYC) but the value is there for a cup that someone clearly cared about.“

“Flora and Fauna is more than just a coffee shop; it's a gem in the heart of East Nashville. Walking in, you're immediately greeted by a service staff that makes you feel like family. The creativity in their drinks menu is a delightful surprise every visit, offering a perfect blend of classic and innovative choices. And let's talk about the pancakes – they are a must-try! Fluffy, flavorful, and simply irresistible, they're worth indulging in any day of the week. This place is a testament to what makes East Nashville's community so special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a top-notch brunch experience!“

“Warning - if you come here, everywhere else in Nashville might seem worse by comparison.
Get literally any taco or plate + any bev and, for a few moments, everything will be right with the world.
No photo will do the taste justice - just come.
Parking: Parking in the back!“

“My wife visited here about 6 months ago and got coffee on her way to the airport and hasn’t stopped talking about it since. We’re here for New Years and she made sure we came by. I got an iced white mocha, which is better than anyone I’ve ever had anywhere else and we also shared a Biscoff cheesecake which was absolutely incredible. The staff is super friendly and the coffee is amazing, you can’t go wrong if you come check this place out.“

“Best overall coffee experience in Nashville! Imagine a coffee shop where the espresso is excellent every time, the shop is spotless, and the baristas are approachable and take the time to get to know who you are.
The whole staff is incredibly friendly and ensures that every visit is excellent.
The manager is also amazing! She isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty and help her staff. If I had a restaurant or coffee shop i would did my best to hire her and her team to run my business!“

“I love 8th and Roast. It’s my fave coffee shop in Nashville that I’ve discovered so far. I’m disappointed to discover Little Bear Latte was only a seasonal beverage because it’s the only drink I ever got there. I’m not a huge fan of the new seasonal drink. So I’m not sure what to drink there now. :( I love the cozy, relaxing atmosphere and they have a great loyalty card program. 8th and Roast is a must.“

“The individual that waited on us was fantastic! She was full of energy and enthusiasm and made us feel extremely welcome! It was a little slow when we were there, but I think it was merely because they appeared only to have two on staff at the moment and may have been during a break period. Nonetheless, the service was great! Our drinks were made fresh and exactly as we ordered.
Another thing I truly appreciate is that Dutch Bros stays open later for those that want coffee after 8 PM. All other competitors close by 8 or 9 so the fact that they are open later is awesome!“

“I had avocado toast and fresh rolls. The rice paper on the fresh rolls was quite dry, but that it expected when they sat in the fridge. Avocado toast was nice and I like the addition of cashews. Food is tasty and healthy but prices are a bit high for what you get.“

“We were visiting from WV over the weekend. We were in Nashville to see the Kill Tony show. When googling for coffee this place immediately caught my attention. I WISH I had a coffee shop like this where I live. I would never leave. Everyone seemed to know everyone that was local and they were so friendly with one another. My boyfriend got “The Eileen” and fell in love with cayenne in it! We would have NEVER thought to do that. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ would come back to Nashville just for this place“

“I visited at 8ish in the morning and the atmosphere was so calming and chill I wanted to sit in a corner and get lost in a book and a cup of coffee. It was superb! The lady behind the counter was helpful, informative, and incredibly patient with me. 10 out of 10 recommend visiting this coffee shop even if you’re not a coffee drinker…. They have kombucha and tea as well.“

“This is my favorite coffee shop in Nashville. All their pastries are SO INSANELY good. I made my mom bring me their cream cheese sugar cookie after I gave birth lol. “I went to White Bison Coffee in 1101 Long Hollow Pike, Gallatin, and entered the drive thru, nobody was there, then I went inside and the lady was not wearing her earset to take drive thru orders so she was never aware that I was in the window waiting to make my order. She refused to serve me a coffee. When I asked for coffee, she pointed to another coffee station and said, " There is coffee too." Referring to the regular gas station self served coffees. She had no name Tag, so I couldn't identify her name. But she she had blond hair and a leg casket. Terrible service. The coffee ia good, the team members need training.“
