“I had the loaded beef fajita potato with the side salad. Awesome. My wife had the chicken fajita street tacos. Corn tortillas were super fresh. Chicken has great flavor. Charro beans were O.T.C. (off the chain) with a little spice. Perfection. Our new go to spot before the I37 speedway races every two weeks. Highly recommend this place.“

“Amazing. Loved the mini tacos I ordered. I got 5 minis for $10. One order of chicken and the other of cabeza. I looked at the menu while waiting and the items look appetizing. Wonderful service and a very clean restaurant. Highly recommend. Affordable and delicious.“

“Super nice operator and the best taco truck in the area. Rarely do you get avocado included, limes that are actually juicy, both onions, just overall great tacos. Haven't got the other items yet but I've had tacos probably a dozen times in the past couple months.“

“Service was great. Food was awesome. The atmosphere not so much, but honestly didn’t expect much. And well, the bathrooms needed a lot of attention and work. 4 stars for food and service, but attention is needed in other areas. Still worth the stop!Parking: Small corner lot that is in need of some work. Anyone with a walker or wheelchair may have issues getting to the door.“

“Its really annoying when places close earlier than their scheduled hours. this place does that. don't bother coming on the closer side of their "closing time," because they've probably closed already and you'll waste your time. Rated a 5 so it doesn't alter reviews of those who've actually been able to try it.“

“When I come to a new place... I always go for the asada mini tacos. So that's what I ordered this time. I was pleased with the experience. Meat was well prepared and flavorful. The shells held together quite well. The sauted onions were flavorful as well. As always, I go for the salsa verder. Nice heat. Not as flavorful as I usually like, but it did its job. It came with beans and I ordered their rice as well. The rice had great flavor and I inhaled it. The beans were similar to the salsa Verde. Not bad, but bland. All in all, a good experience for my money. The service was great and the restaurant was very clean. Came with chips and salsa to start with. The chips were cool and not bad. The salsa that i dipped them in was very flavorful. I can definitely come back here to spend some more money.“

“Went to visit some family in Adkins. I wanted to eat barbacoa so my brother told me about Alamo molino. They have package specials. I bought breakfast barbacoa , salsa , flour and corn tortillas , pork skins , menudo , lemons , and of course big red. The people were very nice and even helped carry our big order to our vehicle. We didn't get tamales because my family was making tamales. We were told the food comes in from Alamo molino on commercial in San Antonio, my hometown. I knew exactly where , because I used to buy from there also. We made it back to my families home just in time to watch the ring of fire eclipse. Everybody ate and loved it. The store was very clean. I spent about $100 to feed 12 people“

“One of the most welcoming and friendly eating experiences I've ever had. They make you feel like family/friends, not just another customer. It was only me and my families first time coming and on a whim, so glad we found this GEM!Our waitress was very kind and attentive even in the midst of a lunch rush and catering to a lot of tables. We were offered cake slices on the house before our meal, which I'm guessing was the cake leftover before close so it doesn't go to waste maybe, but man was it so good & moist!!We were told before our food came out a kind gentleman even paid our check! It had us in shock as that's never ever happened to us before. We were go grateful! We've have never experienced such kindness in 1 day from 1 place. The food was amazing, the best enchiladas I've had in a long time and since moving to san antonio! The tortillas are homemade, warm & fluffy! 10/10 will be back here and recommend it to anyone!Kid-friendliness: They are very kind to kids & have kid menu options!“

“I'm a traveling musican but when I'm home I love to eat local spots. This one I'm lucky to have right down the street from my house. Christians Tacos man what can I say except yum. The Tacos are great, good sized and decently priced. They host a great space for dining my favorite part aside from the food are all the signs with silly sayings. If your on the NE side of San Antonio your gotta check out Christians Tacos.“

“The best barbacoa in the world PERIOD. It doesn't get any better than this. His menudo is on the same tier as his baracoa, and I was a person who wasn't a fan of any menudo before. I've been coming here for well over 10 years, give it a try, won't disappoint.“

“Wish I had taken a picture, but we where hungry. Overall the portion for the prices is better then expected. Our waitress had a sense of humor with us that made it a pleasant experience. 1st time on the side of SA even though I'm sure it's may not be considered part of it. But i do recommend yall try this place as it is worth it.“

“This place might not have ample indoor seating, but it does have a welcoming owner with a million-dollar heart. Mr. Chris will ask for your name to ensure he remembers you the next time you stop by, and trust me. Once you have tried his tamales, tacos, or burritos, you will return for more. I stopped by this past weekend; the weather was great. I enjoyed sitting out to eat a tasty breakfast burrito for only $4.95. San Antonio Tamales is an excellent hole-on-the-wall kind of place. It might not be highly recognized, but the service and the food are fantastic, and we must give it the review it deserves. Eat local, eat fresh cooked food, and support small business owners in our community! If you go visit Mr. Chris at San Antonio Tamales in Converse, let him know that Abrahan recommended you to stop by. Enjoy!“

“Although this is a small restaurant, it’s a really great place to eat. My husband is very picky when it comes to huevos rancheros so we were so happy when they came out perfect. The sauce is mild but flavorful. Great tortillas too. Can’t wait to try their lunch. Prices are very reasonable.Dietary restrictions: They have a wide variety of food so restrictions, I feel, can be met.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp“

“After hearing about this place from a few people, I finally tried it out on a Saturday morning. There was no line waiting to be served but people showed up as I was leaving. I understand that it's quite busy on Sunday mornings. The service at the window was friendly and fast. I bought some barbacoa and tamales. The barbacoa was good but like most of the barbacoa I found lately, it doesn't quite hit the mark. Most of the barbacoa on the west side of town has an authentic flavor that's becoming increasingly hard to find. Don't get me wrong, this barbacoa is good and tasty, very "clean" and makes a great taco, but it just doesn't have the taste I look for. The tamales... it's getting harder to find good FULL tamales anymore. I tried them here and was disappointed. I would say that if it's not too far of a drive for you, try this place out and see what you think. It's definitely not bad, but it's not that authentic taste that I like.?“

“Oh my goodness. This place is a beautiful restaurant with great food and great service. The food was amazingly delicious. I took 3 of my grown children and myself for lunch on Monday. It is very clean and the decor was beautiful. The food was excellentI had mini tacos of asada and it was served with borracho beans , avocado , cilantro , fresh diced onion and grilled onions. Two of my kids had chicken enchiladas with rice , beans , and a salad. The other had beef fajita quesadillas. The waitress was excellent. She brought chips and salsa. The salsa was a small 3 space dish with mild salsa , a hotter salsa , and an avocado salsa. All 3 were delicious. The chips were good too. The price was just right for dishes as theseWe also got flour tortillas. We drank tea and agua frescas ( jamaica and lemonade , and horchata). New family favorite restaurant!“

“Used the drive thru and tried to order a burrito. Was told they were not able to make them now, so I got a torta and some nachos. They made the nachos to order with only the items I wanted on it. It was good. The steak was a little bit tough, but the flavor was on point. I do wish it was a cheese sauce and not just melted shredded cheese, but it was still very tasty. The torta was amazing. It's huge, and the asada was melt in your mouth, to die for. Loved this and didn't miss the burrito at all, lol. The woman who took care of me was so sweet and attentive. I'll be stopping there more often to try more items.“

“The food is good and very delicious. Friendly staff and its clean as well. I can't believe I'm eating fresh cooked beans. I thought the first time i came here to was a fluke for fresh beans, but since I've been coming here, I've been having my lunches and some dinners here. Not bad at all.“
