“Casa de Marisco is a staple in Weslaco. Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just seafood they serve here. But they have an awesome shrimp cocktail and the Tierra y Mar dishes are an awesome choice for those who want fried shrimp and fish while also hitting the spot for the chicken and beef fajitas. I always recommend it when asked for a good place to eat. This is my botana place. The botanita (for one) easily feeds 2 or 3. So much food. the cucumber salad- very flavorful (but still very refreshing!)
The veggie crispy spring rolls - crisped to perfection!
The lettuce wraps- so good, it was completely eaten before I could get a pic! Definitely my fave appetizer of the night! 10/10 highly recommend!

As a plant based girlie, I tried the fried rice (without egg/ green onion). I did add some of the sesame sauce from the cucumber salad on top, which made it chefs kiss to the power of 2! This was my first time here and I’m obsessed.

For 3 people, 4 appetizers, 3 drinks, 3 entrees, and 2 soups, it was $101! That’s not bad pricing at all!! (Yea, we’re big backs)

Vegetarian options: Pretty good vegetarian menu, with three different entree options. Most other dishes have the option to have tofu as your protein. I got the tofu fried rice and it was delicious!

Parking: Located in McAllen

Kid-friendliness: This particular location seems a little up scale, which felt find for a teenager, but I didn’t see a kids menu personally.

“This is our third time here. The wait to be seated was 15 min, which was fine. The waiter and I couldn't hear each other. There were so many tvs going with different programs. One is enough? The service was great, and the food came out in a timely manner even though it was a busy Friday night.

3. Cobb salad with shrimp- good, but the shrimp were overcooked.

I’ve passed this place so many times and had no idea what I was missing. I finally stopped in, and now I’m kicking myself for not coming sooner! From the moment I walked in, the service was unmatched—the hostess, waitress, and even the owner were all incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming.

The food is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and try the empanadas—they’re out of this world. The atmosphere is also something special: a unique blend of cozy, artistic, and upscale with a whiskey bar and art gallery inside. It’s unlike anything else in the valley.“
