“I had such a lovely experience at Mood Cafe! They serve a delicious Turkish breakfast that was fresh, beautifully presented, and very satisfying. Everything from the simit to the cheeses, olives, and fresh fruit was full of flavor and felt authentic. I really liked the coffee also.

The atmosphere of the café is one of its best features. It’s quiet, cozy, and welcoming, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a slow breakfast. If you sit toward the back, you can even enjoy a peaceful view of the lake, which adds a really nice touch to the whole experience.

“Amazing location and staff. I’m still fairly new to DB’s, but I tried the new Cookie Butter Latte Iced and was notttt disappointed. I’m a baker, so flavors are a big must when it comes to sweets. I absolutely love cookie butter, with Lotus being my fav and this was very similar to their very own if not the same. I went on Friday and again on Saturday, but took my daughter and niece with me. My daughter loves the Picture Perfect and my niece tried them for the first time, getting the birthday cake shake. I will be frequenting here more often now that I live down the street!“

“Lavender latte was flavorful and aromatic. Brisket taco came with bbq sauce; sausage came with some delish green sauce. Tacos were steaming and ready in 1 minute. Blueberry muffin was too sweet, but warm with crisp crunch. Girlfriend said sausage kolache was thick and juicy. Cool staff, cool cafe!“

“There are very few third wave coffee places in Downtown Houston as well as the Houston metro. This is one of them. The espresso is fairly mild, I didn’t get a lot of distinct notes, however it wasn’t ash tray over roasted by any stretch. You know they care when they add latte art.“

The drinks are next level: the Coconut Matcha is creamy and light, and the Jasmine Matcha Tea Brulee is a must try dessert in a cup. I also loved the Dark Sugar Jasmine Milk Tea it’s the perfect twist on a classic. I'm in love with their combo popcorn chicken n fries are perfect super crispy and seasoned just right. “I’ve always been a fan of Black Rock Coffee and have enjoyed visits to their stores in Katy and Cypress. However, my recent visit to this particular location was a bit disappointing. I tried two different coffees with a friend, and neither of them met the usual high standards I’ve come to expect from Black Rock. It’s hard to say whether it was the barista or just an off batch of coffee, but the drinks didn’t taste as good as usual. Despite this, I still love Black Rock Coffee overall, though I’m not sure about this particular store.“

They were very busy with a camp in the back, but we ordered our drinks, my daughter picked a craft root beer and I ordered a pour over coffee. “Stopped by this drive-thru Starbucks and ordered a lavender matcha, but when I got my drink, it was totally something else. It wasn’t busy as I was the only one in line, so I knew it had to be a mix-up on their end.

The worker was really considerate though — they quickly remade my drink and got it right the second time. The lavender matcha tasted okay, not quite like Japanese grade matcha but still decent.

Overall, not perfect, but they handled the mistake well, which made the experience better.“
