“In Austin for the Thanksgiving holiday and this spot is a favorite of my brothers. Just a quick jaunt got us to this little spot with a lot of character, but let's talk about why we're all here, the food. Per my brother you can gauge a good restaurant/bar by how good (if they serve it) their sweet potato fries are and these are a knockout (basically the opposite of a Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson match) and the only dancing that's done is with the fries and their Sriracha Mayo as they wait to enter your mouth hole. Their main burger: The Buffalo Bastrop Burger (as pictured) is a delectable journey from ground sirloin city to the tang of the buffalo then to the bite of the bluest of the cheeses which creates the thrill of the ride releasing a satisfaction guaranteed with no need for a warranty. The Mac n Cheese hits you right in the fun bags with its creamy goodness (think Velveeta esq texture), flavor profile, and extra melted cheese saying, "Hey! You have to get through me first!!" and daggumit I will!! Great spot, great food, you shant be disappointed!!“

“In the immortal words of Gary P Nunn, I wanna go home to the Skylark. Good blues and soul music from E. Austin on Airport Blvd. The friendliest people and the best dive bar that you've ever seen. Sending love from KC.“

“Very cool neighborhood bar. It seems like a “dive” bar from outside, but it’s a very classy and well-kept bar. The music they had on was so relaxing and chill. We really appreciated the ambiance and ability to comfortably visit with the bar tender. He was very personable and made great drinks. The happy hour goes til 7:00, which is hard to find in Austin. We don’t live on the east side, but will definitely be back.“

“This show in the Gallery is on of the GREATEST experiences listening to Live Music. Sue Foley was absolutely stunning covering old County Blues artists from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s!!!! Highly recommended!!!“
“Best neighborhood bar in Austin. The service is exceptional if you know what you want. It's too crowded at times for boneheads that don't know how to order. The food is from Pool Burger downstairs which has an exceptional veggie burger if you have one of "those" in your group. Go there and share a pitcher with friends. Plus, they have White Claws.“
“Easiest 5 star review I've ever written. Michael and his team went out of their way to host the afterparty for our wedding and it was one of the highlights of the night. Our friends couldn't believe it when the busses pulled up to the bar and the entire staff made us feel welcome. Will obviously be back.“
