“Place is great! It’s consistent with the service, food and atmosphere. Every single family and friend we’ve gathered with absolutely LOVES this restaurant. We have been coming here for years and the tourists that feel it’s a “tourist trap” need to understand what type of restaurant they are walking into- local, great food, service and family owned. Knockout martini is amazing, Bob Armstrong dip is unbeatable. The burritos and beef fajitas are the best by far. We will continue to support Austin’s favorite Tex mex restaurant and clearly the people that matter will too.“

“First. The food and the place was excellent. The host was accommodating and the server was cool, up until the end. I guess if you leave the table to go to the bathroom, you have to check in with staff so they don't clear your table of your unfinished food and drink. I hadn't even paid yet. Came back 5 mins later, my daughter also had to go to the bathroom apparently, and all our plates with a third of our food still on it stacked up and being carried away by the server. The table had even wiped down. The place wasn't even busy - so, it's not like there was people waiting on a table. Well, I gotta get going to get some more coffee from somewhere else....“

“We used to live close by and I have been daydreaming about coming back to this place for a couple years 😂 it did not disappoint! The service in the bar area got a little spotty when they were busy but the food is always delicious. The chips and salsa are amazing, the combo fajitas are fire, and the chicken enchiladas with vaquero sauce slap! Don’t skip out on the smoked tortilla soup and thank me later.“

“A hidden gem. Friendly staff who cooked up some of the most satisfying, tasty breakfast tacos I can remember having in a long time. Freshly made, beautiful silky soft flour tortillas, fillings not greasy but plenty of it, good salsa verde (de aguacate?). Good shade too. How this place isn't rammed with customers is a mystery.“

“I'm on the lookout for great Mexican food in ATX so when I came upon this place with some friends we had to try it out. I turned to the chilaquiles with beef barbacoa. The barbacoa was delicious- soft and melty. I would have enjoyed the chilaquiles more if they were spicy. Spice level was a 1. However, it was a delicious dish, the bomba egg runny and on point, so I do recommend it. I will have to come back and try other dishes.“

“First time - loved the 20 dollar bottomless mimosas! whaaat?“

“I might of found THE best Texmex I’ve had in town so far. I am typically not a fan however this restaurant made it change.
Their salsa verde is so delicious just wow. Even my kid wanted more of it. Kids menu is a good size!!
Carne asada was just beyond my expectations. I had low hopes but they definitely delivered. Their tacos as well! Everything from food, service and atmosphere was a 10/10 being kid friendly is also a huge plus!
I can’t wait to dine here again.“

Our server (James) was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the chips & salsa was so good the 6 of us each ate a basket of chips and had several refills on salsa! “We hired Maudie's catering for our rehearsal dinner. Given the current COVID-19 situation, Maudie's put all our guests meals in individual packages including the appetizers. It was so fun, so delicious and SAFE! Delivery was exactly on time and the catering team worked with me seamlessly to make sure it was all exactly to my liking. I love Maudie's the restaurant but this was the first time I used the catering and I will absolutely be using them again. We love Maudie's!!“
