“Joan’s cheesecake was out of this world! When I was on her website, I didn’t see cherry cheesecake on her menu and when I contacted Joan to see if she could make one she happily agreed! My husband fell in love with her cherry cheesecake, which is quite the accomplishment. He hasn’t been able to find one that didn’t leave such a bad after taste. Joan’s cherry cheesecake was so delicious. It blows the cheesecake factory out of the park! It was so creamy and the cherries were the best we’ve ever tasted. He had given up trying to find a good Cherry cheesecake too. I don’t really care for cherries on a pie or cheesecake, but I LOVED the way Joan made them. The weren’t overly sweet and they weren’t too tart. I recommend Joan to everyone. Joan will definitely be my go to for cheesecake and I can’t wait to try all the other cakes as well! “Every unrefined bakery location is fantastic. This one seems to always be stocked.

They have the best of everything gluten-free. Everything is made without cornstarch as well, which is really helpful for celiac whose food sensitivities extend beyond wheat. I love that they do not rely on oats, which are also inflammatory for many people with celiac.

Truly, an amazing place to get sweet treats, I love their cupcake of the month. Also a great place for gluten-free bread, hotdog buns, hamburger buns, they will give you experiences you haven’t had in years because you couldn’t safely eat, and that’s just the best thing ever. Having a burger for the first time in years on an actual bun instead of with lettuce was amazing.“

“This place is very neat and tidy for a pan place. Every week I bring my two children in to get pan, and the cashier lady is so sweet to them, talking to them. The pastries are also evenly set out and neatly placed. It's a very nice establishment.

“I tried Susie cakes for the first time today, it was delicious. I bought two of their standard cupcakes for about $10 which is typically how much you would spend at any other bakery competing with Susie Cakes. The cake itself is very spongy and the icing is light and airy with a good amount of sweetness. Im not sure why some reviewers are saying the cake is dry, unless they are putting it in the fridge for a snack later that would make more sense. But the cakes are anything but dry. I worked in a bakery as a cake decorator and was very impressed with Susie Cakes. The staff is always so jolly as well. The cherry on top to everything is that a friend of mine has met Susie herself at a convention and had all good things to say about her. In my opinion that makes a place even better when the owner is a sweet and positive person! 🩵“

Last time I send my husband for a cake it had mold in the fruit, I let pass as it can happen every now and then at any business. But keep getting old disgusting fruit on the cakes is not good at all. You could actually taste the flavor of the topping and the pastry together. Very good and that’s even after it sat in my car for a few hours. Everything is very tasty. This is my first time so I’m hoping it’s as good the next time around.

And it’s afforadable. I mean really affordable. I had been at La Michoacána yesterday and each piece of pastry was $1.15 or higher, here I got 4 pieces for $3.

And they sell Barbacoa, I can’t wait to try it.
