“Hole in the wall with great authentic food. You order your food at the counter and seat yourself. The place is small so get a table when you enter. Homemade corn tortillas however flour are not. Agua frescas are yummy. They have a salsa bar to serve yourself.“

“BEST BURRITOS EVERY! Also HUGE! I always have to cut it in half and can only eat a half. Then later that night or the next day I finish it. Plenty of options for what you want, burrito, nachos, etc. I've heard the nachos are amazing also i haven't tried them yet. They are open 24 hours!“

“Ive had lots of Guisada but smoked brisket Guisada by Chef Mark was beyond! Super tender and flavorful and coupled with his homemade tortillas....you missed out if you didn't get this. Never a disappointment. Enjoy the Bud sign and coin. You earned them.“

“Delicious and fresh! This restaurant is excellent— friendly service and well priced. The birria and consome are to die for, and I also love their creamy salsas. They’re open late on weekends. Portions are not gigantic but definitely enough for a full meal. I’ll return to try the seafood next time!“

“My wife got the tacos. My daughter got the nachos. They both loved them. I got the torta. It was like a cheeseburger but with better meat, better toppings, a better bun, and it was bigger than those cheeseburgers. Plus the young woman who suggested it was really nice. In fact we'll probably eat there again just because of her.“

“NO FREAKING WAY !!!! The ORIGINAL Monterey House Restaurant STILL EXISTS…. in Beaumont, TX !!! What a BLAST from the PAST!!! There used to be a gazillion Monterey House restaurants in Houston & Pasadena, Texas until they got REBRANDED as Monterey’s Tex-Mex Café & changed up their recipes/menu!!! The location here in Beaumont is a RELIC from the 80’s !!! It hasn’t changed ONE BIT!!! Same exact Signage, same Queso/Salsa/Chips, same Mexican Sombrero Dude w/ Donkey Cart Logo!!! I feel like I’m a KID again!!! Am I in the Twilight Zone ?!?\nOMG !!! The PLACEMATS are EXACTLY the SAME!!! I feel like I’ve gotten trapped in a Tex-Mex Time-Warp set to 1985! Roads? Where we’re going we don’t NEED roads!“

“Everything was good it was my first time trying … I just didn’t like the fact that they don’t let you know they are charging you extra for guacamole… on top of being rushed to make a order …and I asked for a small amount and she put so much on my food … so I scraped majority of it off … to pay 3.00 for it smh.. probably won’t be back“
