“Food was great, got sauced (Nashville hot) chicken crispers with the three for me and was some of the best fried chicken I’ve had in a while, very very fresh and the fries were also great. Service was perfect as our waiter was there when needed, and occasionally refilled our drinks when they were nearly empty.“

“Well I would say yes & no! Nice place but the way the tables are set up is horrible. There isn’t a stage so if you are sitting at the small tables you can’t see the band that is performing because the higher table are in front. I think that the higher tables should go against the wall where the picnic table is or towards the back and the smaller tables should be up front. There are some people who are unable to sit and the higher tables but are unable to see the band other then that’s it’s a pretty nice place.“

“Had a nice stop over at Twin Creeks just off FM 2469 in North Austin recently. They have an indoor bar with outdoor seating next to a small creek. Bring a slice of bread and you can feed the fish in the clear creek waters.

Bartender was very friendly. Interesting mix of patrons from different walks of life, came in during the afternoon hour we were there, most just enjoying a beer in the great spring weather on the day.

Just seemed like a really good, local watering hole in north Austin, a place worth checking out if spending a bit of time in the area.“

“My niece & I went out for drinks and dinner at Lala's South Pole off Davis Lane in South Austin. What a hidden gem this place is :-)
I've never been there before and was so happily surprised by the Christmas decorations. It was wonderful. The atmosphere is great.
The bartender, Rudy and the lady Bailey behind the bar were very welcoming, friendly and answered questions regarding drinks. And my niece has been there before but they were very kind to me, Aunt Rose. The Deadly Nightshade & Wormswort specialty drinks and the rum and coke were very tasty , & delicious drinks.
Also the cook Ricardo, he was nice too. We had a delicious Caesar salad and the pizza pie was fantastic.
And we had an appetizer of wings. We sat outside. It was a beautiful evening on October 21st. We will definitely be back again soon.“

Lots of games including pool, ping pong, Jenga, foosball and probably others.There's a bar but also tables to kinda hang out in, and a juke box that you can choose all kinds of music from. I was really happy with the tunes they picked out - an eclectic mix that was nice for all people in our party (all ages).They also had a nice selection of taps of beer and normal well drinks from the bar. I was from out of town and just looking for a cool place to hang and have a few drinks. This place executed that perfectly. Would definitely recommend. :)“

Great music cold beer friendly people even one of the best burgers you will ever have all in a real deal Texas Roadhouse! If we lived closer we’d be there every week! I can’t say enough good things! This was truly one of the best musical experiences I’ve ever been to! Great show! Poodie’s Roadhouse provided a great Texas experience. Special thanks to owner Sharon Burke for making our night so special! Get there in time to catch a beautiful sunset . Come hungry cause the burgers and other food is great! All of the regulars we talked to were friendly and welcoming. Put this on your list of must visits!“

“We love beachside Billy’s/volente beach! It’s super chill and low key fun. The toddler area is perfect for the little ones. We enjoyed this summer so much and look forward to next summer. I also really love the toddler time events. I don’t know about other parents, but I’m a single mom who has been drowning and the toddler time is such a nice escape for me and my kids. “we were at the hwy 290 location in Austin I found my new favorite restaurant! Our server (James) was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the chips & salsa was so good the 6 of us each ate a basket of chips and had several refills on salsa! The Enchiladas were so flavorful with the fire roasted Verde sauce.....highly recommend“

The puerc pibil (pork, onion, spices wrapped in a banana leaf and tied with a corn husk string) is to die for. “Best location of all for Maudie's in Austin IMHO. True Tex Mex. Must try the Rockin Ruthanns plate and Maidas salad with chicken fajita protein, and cilantro lime dressing, which is unbelievably tasty. Everything from the charro beans, to the extra spicy green salsa (secret menu item) is one of a kind flavorful. Tea is strong, and service is 100 every time. Prices are really good for Austin, home of the $20 single taco food truck experience including waiting 30 minutes in the hot sun only to eat on a picnic table covered in bird poop. Who does that? Tourists, you can stay in your lane and live your best lives out there. This is a place for locals who have eaten at one or all of the Maudie's locations for 3 decades. They really cook in this kitchen. They pour a really mean margarita that everyone swears is the best on the planet. This location has a vast outdoor seating area with views of the hill country. No bird poop since they have a screened roof protecting your food. Overall atmosphere is gorgeous.“
