“Cool place and nice vibes“

“Our first night out in Dripping Springs, having recently moved from the UK, and so glad we choose Grawlix Lounge to enjoy a drink for our second wedding anniversary. Great atomsphere, and wonderful and friendly staff. I love an Old Fashioned cocktail and this place has several creative variations of their own crafting! I’ve tried 3 (so far) and they are all delicious and perfect mixed. Food was great and perfect for the lounge vibe. Also open to midnight. Definitely recommend and will be back.“

“Matt was our server and the service was seriously great. He greeted us right away, explained the menu really well, and gave solid recommendations. He kept checking in at the perfect times, refilled our drinks without us having to ask, and made sure everything came out correct. Food came out fast, everything was organized, and he stayed super friendly the whole time. Really good experience overall — we’ll definitely be back!“

“I want to give a shout out to a wonderful new restaurant here in South Austin, specifically the Brodie/Slaughter area. It's called The Local, and it's a delight. The decor is warm and inviting--no chrome or glass and no tvs blaring sports. We were pleased to see that the place was busy at 7 on a Tuesday, it's such a welcoming sound. The food was perfectly prepared and artfully presented, simple, no frufru. The service was terrific, sharp, prompt and helpful. We met the owner and were delighted to learn that this is not part of a chain or even a 'group' as they call them now, but a single family operation. We'd love to see them succeed, if only for the slightly selfish reason that it's nice to go to a good restaurant without having to drive a long way. It's just a few minutes down the street and you may be sure we'll be going back. We need more of these kinds of joints down here. Fair warning, it's not cheap, but then what is these days?“

“Well I would say yes & no! Nice place but the way the tables are set up is horrible. There isn’t a stage so if you are sitting at the small tables you can’t see the band that is performing because the higher table are in front. I think that the higher tables should go against the wall where the picnic table is or towards the back and the smaller tables should be up front. There are some people who are unable to sit and the higher tables but are unable to see the band other then that’s it’s a pretty nice place.“

“Their J5 Smashburger truck is open during lunch only and is truly one of the best smashburgers around. Their matchstick fries are garlicky and perfectly crisp. It cost less than fast food and unbeatable quality…also the friendliest people. Need to make sure they have reason to keep this lunch service going! Check em out! They don’t have a separate listing for the truck and it’s hours so just call the regular number for a carry out order, or stop by between 11-2 most days. 10/10“

“First timer. Main dining room was being remodeled. The second dining room was open , but it was bit noisy. Fortunately it was a nice day to eat outside on their patio. They had put up wind breakers which was nice as it was pretty breezy. The music was a bit loud, so the server turned it down immediately upon request. The food and drinks were very good, our server, Beau, was very attentive. I hope we get a chance to go back soon.“

“We had an amazing dinner experience at the Sixty-three Restaurant at Lakeway Resort and Spa. We were there during our Veteran's Day outing and reserved the restaurant which it was pretty much empty at 5:30pm. We were greeted at the front entrance with big smiles and friendliness. The waiter came immediately and greeted us once again with friendliness and welcoming smile. We ordered cabernet wine which it was full of aroma with some oakiness taste. My wife ordered the Salmon and according to her it was delicious and cooked to perfection. I ordered the filet mignon sandwich and it was very tasty and cooked just right. We will return in the future to eat at this restaurant again.“
