“You know what I wanted to give this place four stars because of the atmosphere but in actuality it's five stars! The kolaches tasted like they were made out of the best yeast rolls I've ever had, their donut selection is a very small selection but it is uniquely made in a very high quality setting. Definitely a hit for Bellaire!“

anyways, walked in, they had a whole menu but it was confusing. i wish the menu was written on the glass window with simple $. i wasnt sure what to order so i just got the mini donuts, strawberry/chocolate/vanilla donuts one each and sausage kolache.

the kolache was super simple which it was a bit of a let down. the kolache bun was good but i was expecting for it to be a breakfast type kolache where it will fill you up. i think all the kolaches they have are really basic,. so i dont think im gonna get that again.

the flavored donuts were good and i loved the mini donuts! i liked how they werent overly sweet. that was a big plus for me. and the overall pricing was reasonable.“

“My neighbor brought over an extra dozen donuts over from Home Cut Donuts. I thanked her, put the on my kitchen table but was reluctant 2 try them because they usually don't compare 2 the Houston donut shop errrr institution that has been here since 1936, but they have not been tasting like they used 2, lately. I eventually tried them ( 2 ). I put them in the microwave for 10 seconds. I took a bite. I was surprised. They tasted a lot better than I thought. The donuts were very tasty, especially w/ their sugary glaze. Next time, I want refrigerate them over night, microwave them & then taste them. See how they taste. That would be a true test. Would buy them again ? YES ! ! ! !“

“Summit Donuts is hands down one of the best spots in town! The quality here is amazing, you can really taste the freshness in every donut. They’re soft, fluffy, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The breakfast tacos are incomparable, seriously some of the best I’ve ever had. The tortillas are warm and soft, the fillings are flavorful, and everything tastes homemade.

“I’ll give them 5 stars because it’s classic Southern Maid. Have not been to this location in 40 years, not sure it was a SM back then. Several Southern Maids throughout Houston, consistent donut and kolaches. She gave us each a couple donut holes with our kolaches. Cinnamon rolls were perfect, and an extra bag of Donut holes. Not Shipleys melt in your mouth, but still very delicious.“

“We stopped in to Lee donuts this morning after spending almost 5 hours in the ER with my son. Of course, as a teenage kid, he was famished, and I realized I was too, and we ended up getting a variety of things, kolaches, brisket empanadas, donuts, croissant…and that was probably some of the best food I’ve ever had especially the kolache’s. That food made me feel so good I ate to my exhausted heart’s content and then fell into the deepest most peaceful sleep and it was like grandma’s lap.
