“Little gem in Castorville, if you want real authentic mexican food, skip the big restaurants and come to this beautiful little piece of Mexico 🇲🇽. We had the barbacoa, the mini tacos of asada and lengua and lengua ranchers and the combo plate, everything was delicious. The service is fantastic, the waitresses are super friendly.

“I ALMOST SUFFOCATED EATING THEIR POZOLE!!!! I almost swallowed a Heineken beer bottle cap. I spoke to the business owner Oscar, whom admitted they add beer to their pozole. But he said that they have insurance and that I could do whatever I wanted. In another words he didn't care that I couldn't have died. A bottle cap can tear up your intestinal track. The picture shows the bottle cap that I pulled out of my mouth before swallowing it. Oscar, Insurance will not help if you die. HE TOOK NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS NEGLIGENCE!“

“I knew this would be a great place to take some friends who had never been to Texas before and wanted to experience non-chain Tex-Mex. The neighborhood, building, decor, staff and quality of food was perfect. However, the mirachi band is too much. Way too loud. It doesn't need to be so loud. It was if the horns had to prove they could play loudly. I get it, when a mirachi band is playing you don't have conversation, but wow, it doesn't have to be so overwhelming. We will go back. Great place!“

“Food was delicious. Service was slow. Servers are not attentive to customers. I ordered two Barbacoa tacos and it took 20 minutes to get them. When they came they were on flour tortillas but I ordered them on corn. I didn’t get silverware or napkins. I’d go back for round two and give them a second chance to prove they are better than the service I received.“

“I ordered the birria tacos and they were very delicious. The outside shell was very crispy and the taste overall was good. The consome was good but could have had more flavor added. The price I thought was a little high for 3 tacos but I'm sure over time that will change. Overall, I recommend this place for sure.“

“Special was delicious- great grilled beef fajitas with vegetables! It included large tea in price. Homemade tortillas that are spectacular and really good salsa and chips. Great food and prices- very clean. Waitresses are very attentive and friendly. Hats off to the cooks!“
“My fiancé and I ordered a beef quesadilla and the chef told us to try it with Birria! It was the most delicious quesadilla we’ve ever had. It was big enough for us to share!!!!! HUGE. Price was fair for what we received. The perfect late night snack.“
