“Went this past weekend when visitng SA after the Zoo with my honey. Ruby and Louie were super kind and accommodating as soon as we walked in. Louie immediately started describing menu options/popular choices with my honey while Ruby noticed this expecting mama was out of breath, and offered me a water as we conversed about babygirl. The food was delicious, my favorite was mixing the brisket in with that mac & cheese 🤤 Our first visit, but definitely won’t be our last! Thank you 💞“

“At the corner of Hwy 181 and SE 1604 in Floresville TX sits a little shack looking like something out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, that boasts having The Best Barbacoa in The World. We pass it twice a day and have often laughed about it. Shame on me for violating my own premise that the best food comes from the most unassuming dive joints. We finally tried it and Holy Smokin' beef cheeks, Batman. The service is good and the people friendly. The barbacoa is super tender, flavorful and moist, without being greasy. It comes with whole avocados, pico de gallo, your choice of flour or corn tortillas. If you order flour you're doing it wrong. You can optionally get it with the requisite beverage, Big Red. If you order any other drink, you lose your Texican card. It doesn't matter if you hate Big Red as I do. Go Big Red or go home. It has all the ambience of being broken down in your car on the side of a busy highway intersection, which of course is exactly the ambience it should have. They also have tamales and menudo, but online reviews suggest Larry should stick to what he does best--The World's Best Barbacoa--and leave it at that. oh...they only take cash, so leave your credit cards at home, and mindya bizness about if he reports all of it to Uncle Sam. 5 out of 5 stars 🌟“

“We order an entire meal this Thanksgiving and it was excellent the turkey, stuffing and gravy were excellent. We didn’t expect turkey to be smoked. It was so delicious! With prices being so high, their prices were comparable to H-E-B We made waffles with our stuffing. They were delicious!“

“The food was amazing. In my opinion it’s the best Korean bbq in San Antonio. Our waitress was very nice and kept coming back to check on us. The owner came to our table and was very nice and helpful. The pickled radishes, kimchi and the kimchi pickles sides are my favorite. (We even bought a jar of kimchi to take with us). The beef bulgogi which we got spicy and the galbi were perfect. The flavor was 100% and was cooked to perfection. 10/10 would definitely recommend.“

“Trust me when I say they have the very BEST sandwhiches in San Marcos. Nothing even comes close. The turkey pesto is to die for. We have tried and love every single sandwhich! Even the sides are top notch, my favorite is the pesto pasta. That being said, the bowl is my favorite thing on the whole menu. It’s got so much flavor and a little kick to it. Get it with the brisket!!!“

“I was in the area for work and I wanted some bbq. I found Ballhogg’s BBQ nearby. It’s a San Antonio Spurs themed bbq joint across from the AT&T Center. They had a brisket grilled cheese sandwich that I had to try and it did not disappoint! The sausage is really good too! The employees were all super friendly. They stay open until 11pm on Spurs game nights so I’ll definitely be back after working the Spurs games! Go check them out if you haven’t already!“

“My wife and I were vacationing in San Antonio and looking for a small place where locals eat rather than the big fancy chains. We found Franky G's with a Google search for "great hamburgers in San Antonio." It did not disappoint! The made to order burgers and house cut fries were ridiculously good and the staff were even better! We can't recommend this place enough!“

“First time customer, long time enjoyer of bbq.
They were out of the jalapeno sausage (it was highly recommended) so that was sad news too my ears.
The brisket was absolutely delectable. Fall apart tenderness, juicy, smoky.
The turkey (which was 3rd choice bc out of chicken as well) was not too terribly dry and
Flavorless. Staff was great. The food delicious. Well worth the drive“
