“Visited for the first time today. Got 2- 2 meat plates, one with brisket and turkey with greenbeans and junkie beans and the other jalapeño sausage and brisket with mac and cream corn. The brisket was damn good ( the bark was perfect), sausage was good and the turkey was moist and actually had flavor. However, the mac was trash, bland no flavor and mushy. The greenbeans were so hot like they were microwaved, the junkie beans were just okay I didn't care for the bbq sauce or the dry chunks of meat in them. The cream corn was THICK with more cream than corn, definitely more of a cream corn salad. The front of the restaurant was dark and could use more light vs the back. Definitely didn't feel nor look like a bbq spot. Service was mediocre at best. Nobody had a welcoming attitude and when I asked one of the employees about the bbq her response was less than polite. We would return just for the brisket but not much else.“

“Love this place! I had the Prime Brisket Burger and the Brisket Mac and Cheese. So delicious and flavorful. Everyone working there is kind and friendly. You feel welcomed and want to go back. They, also, have the best pickles in the land! ?“

“I’ve lived in Texas all my life, so I’ve had a lot of barbecue. I can confidently say that Coronado’s has some of the BEST barbecue I’ve ever had! We got the ribs, pulled pork, and creamed corn, and they were all amazing. The dessert is also 10/10!! The two owners are also incredibly kind!! If you are looking to get BBQ in the New Braunfels area, definitely check this place out!“

“I was very pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. The workers very nice and helpful, the rib tips were amazing good, the pulled pork plate was delicious, the sides are good as well. I almost forgot to add that the pulled chicken potato was good.Parking: The parking was located across the street and it wasn’t a lot of parking.“

“Brought my family here for lunch on a Saturday. I got the medium ribs and hot tenders along with the dragon fries and mac n cheese. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the medium heat level was just right to give it just the right amount of heat without it being overwhelming. The dragon fries were well seasoned and the Mac was delicious. They're the type of food that you keep on eating even though you're stuffed because they taste so good.My only complaint would be the chicken strips. They were dry, hard and stringy. That being said, I'll definitely be returning based on the other dishes.I'd recommend the texas hot spice for those that truly love spicy. Initially you don't feel it but the heat definitely builds over time! Looking forward to trying their AMF heat to see what it's all about.“

“Loved dinner at Fred’s! Here on a business trip & after driving by Fred’s every day we decided to check it out on our last night & wow, definitely worth a visit. I had a two meat platter (brisket & pulled pork) with green beans & Mac & cheese & everything was delicious. Fred was awesome with food customer service & sitting at a picnic table in the warm Texas sunshine with a hot plate & cold Coke was the best. Picture attached was after I started eating; it all smelled so good I jumped in before taking a picture- portions are large & generous.“

“I haven't had good brisket in a while! They stopped me and had me try a sample of brisket, tried it out, it was already heaven in my mouth. I had to order. Got myself the Brisket Sandwhich and oh boy, that was worth every penny. They definitely got me sold and I look forward to ordering more from them.“

“This is some good eatin! The menu was small, but that’s ok. The brisket was tender, juicy and very flavorful. My family and i all ordered brisket meals - tacos, sandwiches and dinner entrees. Even though the sides weren’t my favorite taste, the serving was big. The warm tortilla chips were the best I’ve had in a long time. I definitely recommend this place. They have a very beautiful bar top and a fun atmosphere. We met Josh, Jewel and other staff members were friendly and helpful. We will be back on a weekend night to enjoy the entertainment. “This BBQ spot is just up the street and we have never gone before until today. We regret taking so long to go to Big Bib BBQ! The food is delish, the service is amazing, especially from Miss K, and the restaurant is clean and nothing like you would expect from the restaurant's exterior.We enjoyed the pulled pork, the ribs, the brisket, the chicken, the jalapeno sausage, along with the potato casserole, sweet potato casserole ? and mac & cheese! I must also add that they serve Kool-Aid, 2 flavors!We will definitely be back and we highly recommend that y'all pay 'em a visit!“

“This is literally the whole in the wall that has great barbacoa and tamales and even better that it's on the NE side! Thank God! Their Menudo, tamales and barbacoa is so delicious!! They sell out fast so you gotta get there early. It's so worth the wait and I'm so glad i don't have to drive across town to get some good barbacoa, cause it's right here on my side of town! Let's support this local business in OUR neighborhood (if you're from these parts) and tell our friends and neighbors about this place! For years we have not been dissapointed! So glad that my grandma found this place years ago ! Now i buy it for my family to enjoy!! “Great BBQ all around. Fresh homemade tortillas with tender moist Angus beef brisket, tender pork, outstanding chopped beef, an amazing smoked chicken salad. I have never been disappointed with anything on this menu. They have homemade sauces to put on the BBQ if you are a Sauce person.Any other negative reviews are incorrect, don't know real TX BBQ, or were born with silver spoons up their wazoo. Support the local homemade non chain BBQ that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.Owners are very nice people and take care of there customers. I'd pick these fellas over Cooper's, Franklin's, Mueller's, or Rudy's any day of the week. Head out to there place. Bring some beer and eat some BBQ.“
