“Five of us ate here on Saturday afternoon. We were the only table in the dining room. The food was its usual high quality but the waitress was totally incompetent. She brought the food to the wrong person, got 2 of our 5 orders wrong and never refilled our tea. Her name is Bailley and she needs to be retrained at the very least.“

“I booked their event room for Thursday May 16th, for a surprise 70th Birthday Party for my wife. We pulled the "surprise" off, and had about 35 people in attendance. Leading up to the party, the staff was always friendly and very helpful to me and my Co-Host, who handled the decorations setup. We could not be happier with the food (open menu), drinks AND especially the SERVICE. Rosie did an amazing job, from beginning to end, keeping up with orders and food delivery, kept on top of drinks and individual needs and requests, and even orchestrated the "Happy Birthday" song. I was thoroughly pleased, and the cost turned out lower that I had anticipated, which was icing on the cake. I will certainly be recommending Julie's Cocina, a fabulous restaurant to others, for just great casual dining and especially for special events. “We stayed in the new condominiums at the Horse Shoe Bay this past weekend celebrating my friend’s birthday.
This resort is simply amazing!! The grounds are extremely well maintained, the views are spectacular and the restaurants are excellent.
I highly recommend visiting this resort, you will love it!!

“This is our go-to place for breakfast. Other places claim to have the “best chicken fried steak in Texas” but I have tried them all. THIS IS THE BEST TASTING CHICKEN FRIED STEAK ANYWHERE. PERIOD. The ladies here are great and the food is consistently good here. Keep up the good work guys!!!“

“My husband and I were celebrating our 23th Anniversary and landed on this gorgeous resort. We had some issues with our room and had to change rooms which the hotel was grateful to upgrade our room. However packing and unpacking is a chore. Well Jason, the manager at J’s restaurant was very helpful to help me move. I explained my situation to Jason and he was very sympathetic to our situation and invited us to dine at his restaurant J’s Restaurant. He also gave us complimentary tickets for Putt Putt golf. Then came to our room with a bottle of wine and a great cheese sausage and crackers board. The food was great. We both had the filet dinner and my husband made a comment to me stating “I don’t know how they get these steaks so tender”. I agree. Jason was a God send to us. He also came over to our dinner table checking on us and filled up our glass with wine. Jason is the example of how managers are to manage their restaurants. Jason needs to be recognized by the resort for his good deeds. He took our bad situation and turned it into a great special anniversary dinner. While dining at the restaurant he had his BEST server Natasha wait on us. She was a breath of sunshine. She is so pleasant and charming. She has this spirituality presence as a waitress. We have never had a waitress to serve us like Natasha. She has a great smile and treats you as your royalty. There’s not enough words that I can express on the services we received with Natasha. She needs to be recognized for her great service. I came back with a friend the next day and of course Natasha saw me and greeted me again with her pleasant smile and hugs. She again waited on us and what can I say again about her. She continues to impress me with her charm and warm wishes. We wish her the best luck as she pursues her next adventure. I highly recommend every who visits the resort to dine at J’s restaurant. You will never be disappointed.“

“Honesty im giving a 5 star just because they blew my mind with their excellent customer service. Waiter constantly checked on us with a smile and very patient. I did have an issue with my wings and they recorded me a new batch which i thought was just excellent, they address my concerns with empathy and quickness .“
