“I ordered on the app for pick up. I received good, fresh food in a very timely manner. The employee that served me was friendly and quick. I received exactly what I had ordered. My Steak Fajita Salad was delicious, though there was a bit of gristle. The Mango Green Tea is good, especially with a little squirt of liquid stevia at home. A very satisfying, healthy meal. Appreciate Salad and Go.

Dietary restrictions: Easy to eat low carb, paleo or primal. Not sure about the ingredients in the salad dressing, so I use my own.“

“We visited the Denton location on a Friday afternoon a little after 2 pm. Four adults & my infant granddaughter who is blind & was in her stroller. Two hostess told us we couldn't take the stroller in only the car seat or we could walk up stairs (2 flights)where there was no air conditioning carrying the stroller. They didn't mention an elevator. My son-in-law decided to put the stroller down to its cart seat(all in one unit) and put it in their high chair. The high chair was not safe it wobbled & we had to set the diaper bag in it to keep it still. It also took up more room than her stroller/high chair did when completely opened. The restaurant wasn't that busy & the stroller would not have been in the way. Before we left the GM was interviewing at a 6 too right behind us so I went over & told her what happened. She was very nice &!apologetic. The bartender, who served us was great & the food was excellent. However, they are not child friendly. I choose to speak up because my daughter went in the bathroom crying. She has a child with a very rare genetic syndrome & is being told she can't bring her stroller in which is basically how they take their child everywhere & will need to. This is the only place we have been that has said they have a policy against strollers.“

“We find it fun that they don’t ask you for a name for your order but they ask you a question and your answer is what you listen for to get your food. We really enjoy their biscuit sandwiches with gravy—the gravy is nice and flavorful. Also really like their fried green tomatoes. Their breakfast bowl and chicken and waffles were okay. In regard to to go orders, they do a great job of making sure items are packaged separately but I wish there were some vents to keep fried foods from getting soggy hence why we recommend eating the food there rather than getting to go if possible. Don’t get me wrong, we still really enjoyed our food at home.“

“Whomever is reading this, please please go check out the Pickled Carrot! Have been to the pickled carrot only once in person, but the customer service was amazing! It was a memorably kind interaction! The man that I presumed was the owner was helpful when navigating the menu, warm and inviting, along with having a great sense of humor. I have never been disappointed with a dish that I have received (I normally order through delivery apps) and I believe the portions to be very reasonably sized. The V-fries with their tofu is life changing, it’s been the only food item in Denton that I regularly crave! Today I tried the tofu noodle bowl and it was also wonderful. This might’ve been on accident, but I even received a second portion of the noodles which has made my whole day, probably even week! The flavor and freshness of their food is unmatched! They have a unique spin on Vietnamese cuisine while still keeping it simple and traditional. They care about their customers and put quality work into every dish that is made. The pricing is reasonably affordable especially for the quality that you are getting, its my occasional treat as a broke college student! I HIGHLY recommend the pickled carrot!

Looking for a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, my wife made a reservation at this gem in Denton and we were not disappointed. Our table was laid out with rose petals to celebrate the occasion and the staff wished us a Happy Anniversary. The menu had a multitude of items that sounded mouth-watering, so the decision making process was tortuous. We settled on bacon wrapped dates and steamed mussels as appetizers. The dates were moist and the bacon crispy, a perfect bite of sweet and salty. The mussels were perfectly steamed with a delicious broth and the perfect crispy, warm French bread to sop it up. A great start. My wife ordered Beef Cheek stuffed Ravioli, remembering how much she loved the beef cheeks we first ate in Spain. Ground meat in the ravioli topped with a perfect ragu of tomatoes, beef cheek, and vegetables. I am drawn to duck whenever I see it on the menu and the Rosemary smoked Duck Breast was cooked to perfection; crispy skin, juicy meat, and a sun dried cherry pico tart enough to complement its maple syrup glaze. The sliced duck breast was served atop a wild rice and vegetable pancake that was unique and perhaps the star of the dish. Come on, who wouldn’t love pancakes for dinner? A couple glasses of wine with dinner, a slice of award winning carrot cake for desert with an espresso, and exquisite service all evening long made for an ideal anniversary celebration. I had the Cuban sandwich and my husband had the Turkey sandwich. So scrumptious! Our server, Kaylie was so sweet and efficient! Another gentleman, Mohit, (I hope I spelled his name right) came by to see how we were doing. We had such a wonderful conversation with him, I felt like I was eating with friends!
