“By far one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! The food is magnificent, atmosphere is perfect for fine dining and intimate dinner! My husband brought me here for my birthday Jan 6th and I’m still thanking him. Chef Erik Trotman took care of us and the servers were on point and very attentive. Go check them out for yourself, you definitely will love it!! I“

“Monte was an amazing server, very knowledgeable about the food and wine as well as very pleasant to chat with! The food was great, atmosphere was perfect and the wine was amazing! The hotel itself we did not stay in but I definitely would on my next trip back to austin. I think it's a very unique Boutique Hotel and love the idea of the record players and letting you loan you different vinyl options to listen to in your room!“

“4/1/24We dined at around 7:30 P.M., and we enjoyed some very interesting food! Our waiter was very nice and informative. We got a bit intrigued by the salmon egg mayonnaise appetizer, so we ordered it. Although it was 'interesting' to see and try...we had no idea that it was prepared with salmon eggs on top of the devil egged concoction. The burst of salmon egg with the somewhat boiled egg...was not a favorable appetizer. We would NEVER suggest it. 1/10 (the one rating comes from the good mayo)The fish meal on the menu was REALLY GOOD! The buttery sauce that is generously given on the plate the pan-seared fish was placed on top of really made this meal exceptional. The preparation of it was great. I wish there were more food on the plate, though (or that a good bread accompanied it). 10/10 RATING!My dinner friend ordered the pork chops with the cabbage slice. I would rate that pretty low, though. The cabbage slice was grilled, and some of it was grilled too much to enjoy. You MUST TRY THE BEET SALAD!!!! IT IS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! 10/10 RATING!!The cheese board for a dessert was great, too... The cheese selected and the jelly was delectable. The tea that is used tastes really good. The ART WORK in the restaurant is pretty and joyful to see! Our waiter allowed us to look at the book that was prepared on each artist that has art exhibited in the restaurant. You would enjoy reading about them IF you have the time.“

“Perfectly prepared Seafood, comfortable but elegant ambiance, and a great location. A nice high end but low-key spot right near the iconic Austin music spot, Antone’s.The kind crab was perfectly cooked. The braised greens had the subtlest kiss of Serrano pepper. It is seafood with a whisper of the south. The chef is James Beard award winning MASHAMA BAILEY of Savanah, so that makes a lot of sense. The vibe was relaxed but high-end.They bill this as a southern spot. I think it is more a seafood place with a whisper of the South (not to be confused with “Texan cuisine” a cousin but something entirely its own thing.)The restroom is hard to find - it is in the hotel lobby but they do not have good signage. It is buried in the back of a second elevator bank area. They have a neon sign in a different spot announcing that it is NOT the restroom - but nothing of its equal to show you where you should go / where it is.They set up shop diagonally across from Eddie V’s (seafood and chop house) which has been there for decades.Vegetarian options: This was the one area of real opportunity: there were very few options for a vegetarian / vegansDietary restrictions: Greedy for keto and gluten allergy folks!Parking: No garage. No street parking $15 for first 3 hours of valet.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible throughout“

“Amazing dining experience. We sat at an outdoor bar table overlooking Lake Austin. We started with oysters and their Peruvian cheese fries while sipping on a delicious Black Forest cocktail. Had the filet Au Poivre. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection.“

“We were blown away by this place! Service was outstanding, but the food was next level. We ordered the salad, shishito peppers and nuts for an appetizer and then came the smash burgers. Everything was so good! We finished our meal with the best carrot cake any of us have ever had. We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!“

“Excellent food & crafted cocktails, friendly service. The Gulf shrimp with red rice was a stand out & biscuits are legendary for a reason. Only area that could be improved - below average wine list and lack of variety of wine by the glass options.“

“Had a wonderful experience at Arlo Grey. We had the oyster mushrooms, burrata, cappelletti, hen and swordfish. It’s family style so we picked a few different dishes. The desserts we got were the sourdough ice cream and banana pudding. Personally the desserts were my favorite! The food was all delicious, seasonal, local, beautiful, seasoned well and large portions. I purchased Kristen Kish’s cookbook. While there she came to our table to meet us and sign my book. She was lovely! Great night and I can’t wait to go back. The service was top notch too.“

“My lonely NYC tastebuds have finally found a little piece of home!! I’ve been following Chef Simone since her Little Tong days (which legit kept me fed multiple days per week during zombie COVID lockdown with their dan dan noodles) so when I saw the signs go up on Barton Springs Road you have no idea how excited I was after months of eating sad salads, pizza, bbq, and ersatz Italian. I’ve been here for date night, group dinner, bring your toddler to dinner, and brunch. Always delicious, always solid, always friendly. I literally have to fight my 3yo for chicken dumplings and now we just order 2 plates upfront to avoid tears (on both our parts). Dan dan noodles are back in my life but in a spicy ragu reincarnation. Matcha tiramisu is like a fever sex dream. And everyone is just.. so nice. From the (complimentary) valet guys to the front of house to the chefs - top notch service all around. One time I left my Peking duck leftovers on the table, got to my car, remembered and then came back in. The servers had already cleared and set for the next reservation but the manager just comped the dish off my bill. You will not have a bad meal here, ever. Trust. This snobby New Yorker knows things.“

“The food was lovely, but the service was somewhat off. Overall the servers were friendly, and we were asked to order everything at once to ensure the kitchen could course out our meal appropriately. But we were often waiting a long time between courses and entrees did not come out at the same time, leaving some people waiting while food got cold. There was also an issue with flies, which was somewhat offputting.“

“Sooo savory and so good. Went for a walk in the Hyde Park neighborhood this evening and decided to stop by here on the way home. Really glad we did. Eating it right now at home. Got the “Steak and Zab” and the “Keto Fried Chicken” – both with veggies. Seems I read that they are adding a ricotta cheese sauce to some items and it IS Really tasty. Hits the spot. You are missing the boat if you do not give these folks a try. Great alternative to cooking at home ! Heck, great alternative to your favorite local restaurant.“
“I always enjoying eating at Ranch Hand! Their menu is fairly condensed, but they have great options. Their organic bowls are made with locally sourced ingredients and everything tastes so fresh. I always add a fried egg on top and it never disappoints. Very cozy and cool atmosphere with a coffee/pastry shop located right next to it.“

“We visited "STELLA SAN JAC" during our Austin trip... and we had a great time. We tried several of the best and most inspiring cocktails we've ever tasted. Manager Edwin put us at ease with the best comfortable service, and every cocktail he recommended we were very impressed with. I will definitely recommend my friends to visit this place, I want to go back and try the cocktail again on my next business trip.“

“Honestly this was the best meal we have had in recent years. Everything about our meal was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and inviting. Our party of 5 was celebrating and enjoyed sharing many dishes. Particularly outstanding was the bread service, the roasted cabbage, oysters, the cacio y Pepe and the smoked wagyu pappardelle along with the carnitas. Our least favorite bite was the Cobia entree. Something had to come in last place! Loved our server. Never felt rushed. PS the podcast in the bathroom was a great touch! Thank you for a wonderful meal!“

“Absolutely the best new place to eat in Austin. The food is absolutely delicious, unique and ever changing. I've been for dinner three times and brunch once. Never had anything bad. Also the price point is pretty great for such high quality food. Parking situation is terrible but that's everywhere in Austin. This is my go-to place to bring friends!I've had Dre as my server twice, he is hilarious, incredibly great at anticipating needs and his recs were fantastic. Ask for his section if you can!“

“Only in Austin for a long weekend and stopped by for dinner. Fixe did not disappoint! Beautiful cocktails with tons of flavor. Absolutely delicious meal, our group all got a different entree and shared, each a delight. I could live off of their biscuits with the butter, honey and jam combo. Definitely bring your appetite, we finished our meals with the to die for pecan pie.“

“Barley Swine is a farm-to-table tasting menu with a warm and cozy atmosphere, and though the price is quite steep per person, I absolutely got what I paid for. I was blown away by my dining experience here and I'm already wondering when I can make an excuse to come back. Service was extremely attentive without being too overwhelming. I have to give a shout out to our waitress, Cohen - at one point I quietly told my boyfriend that I dropped something on my dress, and she somehow overheard and offered me a Tide Pen! Incredible. Even more incredible was the food itself. Every item on the May Tasting Menu was complex, rich, and unique. My boyfriend and I enjoyed everything but had different favorites, and though neither of us had dietary restrictions, there are vegetarian/pescatarian options for those that need it. The standout items for me were the savory doughnut topped with cauliflower beer cheese and rib cap, the duck liver/scallop XO toast, the halibut, and the baked oyster... but everything was honestly five stars for me. My only criticisms were that the supplemental items were incredibly small for their price and the dessert items were somewhat lacking. For a restaurant with such excellent food and service, it is very unassuming and easy to access in a strip shopping area on a suburban street with ample (and free!) parking. The servers mentioned that the menu will likely be completely different come June, so if the May menu sounds appealing to you, make sure to make a reservation before then.“

“Lucy's was recommended to us as one of the best place to eat in Austin. I'm not sure about that but it certainly hit the spot for my group. Casual dining at its best (you sit semi-outdoors at picnic tables and benches), you'd better come hungry because you are going to want to order everything. Fortunately there were eight of us so we got to sample everything from the fried chicken and catfish to the chicken-fried steak and the "Kinky" club. Our waiter was a no-nonsense kind of guy who still tolerated all the questions from our British visitors with barely concealed amusement. I always order a chicken-fried steak if there's one on the menu and this one didn't disappoint - excellent breading and tangy cream gravy. And because I didn't get to try the fried chicken, I ordered a bucket to go!“

“This was a very unique experience with pros and cons but overall a must try. The GM was extremely nice and knowledge about the menu, but we got a little overwhelmed because he went over every single menu item. The menu was insanely unique and some ingredients were growing in the window! Other than being a little overwhelmed, the only other con was the deafening silence, no music and we felt like we had to whisper. I'd say we came too casual for the setting which is why we felt that way, but if you come for a fancy occasion and bring a full appetite, this could be the best spot in town hands down. Overall loved the place but would come with a different expectation next time.“

“Geraldine's was fantastic. Went there for Saturday brunch. The restaurant is inside of Hotel Van Zandt near Rainey Street downtown. You know it is fancy when you have to take an elevator to get to it LOL. Exit the elevator and see a great view of the bar and seating area. The hostess was very pleasant. There is live music on Saturdays between 11:30am and 1:00pm. Good music, good drinks and good music. It gets no better than that. I enjoyed a cappuccino while others in my party drank a Bloody Mary and a drink with peanut butter whiskey and banana liquer. Very delicious. The service was a bit slower than I like but was nit bad. Maybe an understaffed issue. I ate a simple meal: eggs any style with bacon and toast. Others ate chicken sandwiches. All were tasty. There are more menu items that I want to try so I must return.“

“Again, wasn't the typical five star Juniper experience. But won't stop us from coming back. We had a new server (was wearing purple) and she was great! She even called out it was only her second brunch and she still did great. We really enjoyed her banter and checking on us constantly with updating us with the drink snafu. Bright spots: - the Mother's Day donut was tasty - puffy potatoe was good as usual. It's a staple for sure. - Manager came off and addressed a previous experience we had. That was nice! - Drinks that were on the pre-fix menu. I ordered a Bloody Mary, and was told they were out of it. So ordered something else. 15 mins later, she came back and said they could do a Bloody Mary. She ended up comping both drinks which was nice! Room for improvement: - didn't get new silverware with each meal as you typically would with Juniper. Chopped it up to the new waitress. -having a Mothers Day brunch pre-fix menu, and then not having a Bloody Mary readily available. Even though it was on the menu? Those kinds of things I'd expect from a new restaurant, not Juniper. Especially with bloody Mary's being a brunch staple. - serving the spaghetti dish with no spoon was odd. Either way, we still love Juniper. I do miss the passion behind the wait staff telling us all the details about the dishes with ingredients and how they are crafted. That seems to be hit or miss lately. Not sure if it's under new ownership or management. But definitely can see changes with each time we go.“

“Mour Cocina is a cute little neighborhood wine bar in East Riverside. Right when you walk in, there's a market area with tons of different wines available to purchase. The actual restaurant area has a nice vibe with plenty of seating and modern decor. I came here to kill some time between appointments on a Thursday afternoon and I was one of the only customers inside. My server was super friendly and happy to give me plenty of recommendations. I wasn't sure which wine to order, and they were nice enough to not only suggest one but let me taste a bit before pouring me a generous glass. I wasn't super hungry since I was here between lunch and dinner hours, but the happy hour deals were too good to pass up. Happy hour is every day from 4:30-6:30 pm. They mentioned a couple different discounts, including half off all bites and cocktails. I'll definitely have to come back for their "MyMosa", which has half a bottle of sparkling wine! I ended up ordering the Herb Guacamole as a snack, and it was the perfect portion for one or for two to share. The chips were the best part, they were super crispy but strong enough to scoop up the guac. The guacamole itself was seasoned well and had plenty of herbs mixed in. I love that they had pepita seeds on top for a bit of crunch as well. Overall, this isn't the spot for a cheap glass of wine, but it's great for happy hour deals and excellent service!“

“What a knock-out restaurant! Right off the bat the service was excellent and very professional. The cook time for what we ordered was perfect. Felt like swarm service with just one server and she was knowledgeable about everything that came out of the kitchen. Our mini beef wellingtons, deviled eggs with caviar, and the PERFECTLY cooked burger were the most phenomenal parts of our dining experience. Would highly recommend for a nice family outing or romantic sneak away, because the building and atmosphere are stunning! Well done Chef Justin Turner & co.!Dietary restrictions: Any server is happy to relate dietary restrictions or allergies to the chef.“

“The whole experience was lovely and our waiter, Emily, was the best. The main complaint that I had was that the Caesar salad, though good, was embarrassingly small especially considering it was $18. Lettuce is inexpensive and considering that the lobster bisque was $19, a decent portion with lots of lobster chunks, the salad should have been at least twice as big or more for the price. The salad portion was ridiculously small!“

“The best food in town. We were there with our team and we ordered almost everything from the menu and loved everything we ate. Their speciality is more about beef, pork and fish and they are perfect at it . Their menu keeps changing and chicken options are not available . Servers were gentle, kind and helped in choosing. I highly recommend this place.“
