The server was kind to share some of the restaurant history and asked for a review, which as business owners, we like to oblige and want to help other businesses. He threw in a mango lassi with our order, which was not expected and SO delicious. All of our food was AMAZING and enough to have for lunch the next day. They always have something delicious in the frozen drink machine which is bliss on these hot Texas nights. Also good to note that it is a very comfortable place if you are a female flying solo. The patrons are largely from the large rave community anx if you dont know anyone you will before you go home! “I took a group of 10 here for cocktails on the fly after a business meeting and we had a lovely experience! Of course, be prepared for the fact that it’s in the Ritz Carlton—I felt a little out of place and probably would have dressed up a bit more if I had planned it. But I didn’t sweat it—it’s fun just to be around a little glamour, especially if you want to create a unique and impressive experience for clients/associates 😉

My only constructive comment for the mixologists would be to make the mocktails less sweet—I was hoping for something light and refreshing and found mine to be too syrupy.

Bring your own liquor bottle as they only serve beer and set ups. Need about 1 or 2 more restrooms. Front patio. Clientele is more of the blue collar type of people. Not to bad of a place. Hardly ever any drama there since the crowd is mostly 35 and up.“

“Had my brother and SNL in town. I'm trying to understand how this place even exists. The hotel is Old and smells like sewage inside and out. Started out @ the Waterproof. Completely overrated nothing special about this place besides its overpriced drinks. However my reason for this post is for Bourbon & Banter. We ordered the Smoked bourbon Meatballs. When it was placed on the table. I immediately smelled dog food. I tasted a bite of the meatball and the texture of it was not right at all. At this point I'm really wondering is this dog food. Waiter came over and I said "no disrespect, but this taste and smells like Dog food. He said I don't make the meatballs, but I will take it off your ticket. I thought that was odd, because I didn't ask him nothing like that. I'm concerned about this treatment and will be contacting the proper people so this doesn't happen again. Especially when I spend my hard earned dollars just to come out wondering what I just ate.“
