This place was not busy but it took thirty minutes to receive our order. We let the waiter know our dissatisfaction. So the manager to replace steak with another item. I said no. She gave us a dessert instead. I was very disappointed.”

“I had a good experience at Denny’s restaurant on University Drive In Edinburg this morning. Samantha, our server, constantly checked on us. She always made sure to be cheerful and attentive. Cassie, a server not assigned to us, had an ever-present smile. Her smile radiated so brightly that it lit up the mood of my friend and me. These two young ladies made our visit to this place extremely pleasant. I recommend sitting at the bar. The bar is where the staff assembles to retrieve their orders. It is where you will always see smiling faces. Here is where they have more of an opportunity to face you and gift you with a kind comment or beam another bright smile in your direction.”

The beef gyro wrap is just as impressive, tender and savory with that classic, authentic taste you hope for but don’t always find. And the quesadilla-style shawarmas? Next level. It’s such a creative twist, and they absolutely nailed it—crispy on the outside, loaded with deliciousness on the inside.

The market inside is also a great touch—super convenient and full of interesting items to check out while you’re there. On top of that, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it an all-around great dining experience.

Everything tastes fresh, well-made, and clearly prepared with care. You can tell they take pride in their food.

“Where to begin… This locally owned restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. A hidden gem outside of the RGV. Met the Owners Juan and his wife who were extremely hospitable, it’s like your dining with family. It’s a small quaint restaurant, which is delightful.

Ok… Getting to the good stuff… The food was deliciously amazing!! I enjoyed picking through the seafood tacos to experience the different flavors. Juan suggested taking a full bite, WOW 🤩 The combination of the corn tortilla, seafood, slaw, the sauce and a squeeze of the lime 🍋‍🟩 was outstanding… the burst of flavors were amazing.

We can’t wait to go back and try other seafood dishes on the menu. Especially the Molcajete filled with fresh seafood.

Oh by the way…. The seafood and other ingredients are fresh and prepared when it’s ordered which makes the whole meal experience so tasty.

“Mi Chula #2 on the north side of University Drive, between First Cash Pawn and the Famiky Dollar, is one of three locations for this small local restaurant chain. Mi Chula is a favorite among locals and is known for great Mexican food, friendly service, and reasonable prices.

I had never been to Mi Chula, but met a friend here for lunch. The inside is colorfully decorated with a Mexican theme. I was greeted as ai entered and the service was excellent throughout my meal.

I was brought a menu and the server took my drink order. They offer limonada con pepino, Coca-Cola fountain drinks, bottled Mexican sodas, and coffee.

The have a wide selection of breakfasts with chikaquiles, breakfast tacos, eggs with machacado, bacon, or chorizo, huevos rancheros, and much more. I was there for lunch and saw they have quite a few typical Mexican fare such as carne guisada, bistek ranchero, chile rellenos, steak, and many antojitos. They also offer soups like caldo Tlalpeño, and salads. I got the chile relleno with both meat and cheese. It came with rice, beans, a small salad (no salad dressing), and my choice of freshly made corn or flour tortillas. I really enjoyed my meal.

While we were dining, we were able to talk with no problem despite the background music being a tad louder than I would have preferred. Then a mariachi group came in and sang a couple of songs.

I think I found a new personal favorite. Mi Chula checks all the boxes: ambience, great service, delicious food, and good prices. I highly recommend them.”

More restaurants should maintain the classic comfortable original seating like The Old Cattle Barron instead of newer uncomfortable seating and trying to be pc by removing original decor. The rooms are AC and super clean, and the area has a few yard games to help the kids pass the time! I love the brownies 😍 these are some of the best brownies I’ve ever had and there’s only 5 grams of sugar with no weird aftertaste 🤯 you are going to need to start making more of those because you have new regular customers and one of your regular customers was disappointed I bought the last 2 right before she came in.

The mini donuts are better than the regular. So far my favorite is the Pistachio 😋 as far as the meal preps… The Cilantro chicken & the Mexican casserole are delicious, I’m looking forward to exploring more of the menu.

The chicken is all Halal, never frozen fresh. The meals are great portion sizes. I usually can’t even finish one so forget not feeling full like after eating at other businesses sometimes I feel I need 2 meal preps to be satisfied 🤫

This was my first time here and all the employees were great servers with great customer service going above and beyond to please their customers. “Home , RGV to visit family, craving for BBQ and cousin suggested Ace’s BBQ figuring they knew what I loved. At Edinburg location the place was kinda hidden finding out it was well worth it… brisket was super moist, sausage was on spot, as was the pork having ordered the the huge 3 meats botana plate served over tortilla chips w/ melted cheese (I was hooked)! Well presented and served and you got my business when I return home 3 times a year over Rudy’s.. Great Job and keep it up!.. Sides were very good but I was there for the meats.”

I also like that you can ask for your order to be cooked well done. This is a family run restaurant. And the yiung ladies who take your order are super nice and accomodating. We've never had any problem with the food. I also love the egg rolls. They are light and crisp.you can also replace the rice in any plate with lomain for one dollar! More than once we've sent $tips to the cooks because the food was just great. So this little place its good all around. And the prices are reasonable. “I ordered Fajita Botana for 2, take out order. Then decided to order French Fries and a Mexican coke while I waited for Botana to go order. I am really glad I ordered the fries, they are hand cut, fresh potatoes, cooked spectacularly golden brown and delicious. What can I say about the Mexican coke, always quenches my thirst right on time. If a restaurant does not serve Mexican coke, they automatically should start out minus one star!!! The atmosphere is cozy and clean. The cashier is very nice, helpful and serves your order with a smile. I took the Fajita Botana for 2 order home, 4 of us ate from it and was better than expected quantity and flavor. They have 2 types salsa bottles to choose from, salsa roja and salsa verde, but I especially enjoy their salsa verde. Tacos. Reynosa serves breakfast and has daily specials for breakfast and lunch. Overall a great experience with Tacos Reynosa, they are located just off Hwy 281, on University, across from Starlite Burgers. Definitely recommend giving them a try, bring the whole family.!!. My husband is a vegetarian and after years of looking for a vegetarian hoagie- we found you ❤️ We almost never grab “fast food”, but gave y’all a try. LIFE CHANGING. I am not exaggerating. I’ve gone from cooking every night for my husband , but now he asks me to hit JM’s. The Portobello hot one is his fav. Oddly enough, being from Philly, I love the Philly Cheesesteak. Only thing that would make it PERFECT is an Amoroso bun. But, that won’t stop me. A young man named Aiden makes the best! I’m sure that you’re hungry after reading this dissertation, I rcmd EVERYTHING ?”

“picture and video of "leak" in comments. This ran down place has a mini split on the left side of the building before you enter the hallway that is "leaking". I have video and you can tell me if that is a leak from a "1 year old" unit. That has to be a clogged condensate line which is common sense. it isn't a broken pan nor is it frozen coils. They're so dirty it is obvious they don't clean the line nor the filter. Well last week I went and ordered inside. I walked to the restroom did my business and and I was walking out I slipped and fell on my left hip and elbow. no way for me to catch my balance because the water that was leaking was all over the floor. they have a stainless steel pan to supposedly catch the water but it flashes off and gets the whole floor wet. you can tell it's been like this for a long time because the flooring is that type that you snap-on together and it is very swollen when he's coming in water damage. this is a clear indicator that it has been like this for a long time and hasn't gone ignored. in the weirdest part of it all was the worker guy that cooks, cleans the restrooms, and handles your food and take it to your car just grab them up and started mopping around me as if I wasn't even there. he then pick me up and I could barely straighten out my back. I expected the owner to at the very least the polarize when he came out the back finally. instead he just puts the food down and says "Son $41". this dude could have gone a different route and at least apologized and said here you go the food is on the house. we get home and the tacos are wrong. the hot dogs are drenched in mayonnaise. drenched. it was disgusting. the next day I woke up in the stupidest most ridiculous amount of pain you can ever imagine. I kindly called the owner and asked him for it insurance information because I was going to need to go to the emergency room to get checked because I felt horrible. The owner denied having insurance saying "Como? Si apenas estoy empezando. No tengo aseguro". $145 dollars it costs average for liability insurance. So now we had to go the legal route. The funny thing is he sends me a picture of himself and his daughter at the island the day after. he just told me he can afford insurance and he's at the island and rented one of those buggies. but you can't pay 150 bucks for insurance? We got a rough estimate or ER visit, Physical Therapy for 6 weeks at a time, MRI, follow ups....and it's roughly 18k. I offered him $3,500. Get me $3,500 cash and/or credit card that I can run on my square app. by the way they don't accept credit cards there. Just cash or cash app. Weird. he said he was going to call me back which I knew he wasn't. he was starting to act real cocky when he was texting. yet when I was in front of him he acted quite different let's just put it that way. LOL. he said something borderline disrespectful and I told him not talking to him wrong. I told him let's meet up and talk it out like grown men. he didn't want to. I guess that's what he teaches his kids. do wrong, deny, don't fix the problem, avoiding people that you're physically afraid of, and don't know how to run a business. I am a business owner myself and I even invited him over for a free week trial of jiu-jitsu classes. he has yet to show up. it's absolutely free but nothing. really quick, if you have the same guy handling the food and mopping that shows what your color your food is like. I wouldn't recommend this place. zero Stars for this place. thank God it took video of the water "leak". After all this mess it turns out I ended up fracturing my transforaminal on my spine. hairline fracture. but at the advice of my attorney I was told not to post that x-ray picture.”

“Convenient. They sell majority what u need. Also fresh food like tortillas barbacoa, tacos, tamales, breakfast, lunch, carnitas Chicharones... They also have raspados and chips with cheese or other snacks! Great place! It does get busy tho.

Parking: Parking is a lil hectic sometimes but it mostly gets packed in the morning and especially on weekends in the morning.

“If you live in the RGV and never tried breakfast (or any other meal) for Señor Cactus you are seriously missing out! I have tried everything on the menu and it's all so freaking goooood. And the portions are huge! Never actually been inside the restaurant but I order often from DD. I'm a total foodie and sometimes my ADHD will prioritize everything else over feeding myself.
