“Shrimp is delicious and you get a big helping of rice a little side salad. The sampler is nice so you can taste a few flavors and decide what you prefer. The shrimp is delicious and comes out quick. Staff is all young kids who are kind and helpful. Spot is cute and has plenty do sitting. They have sinks easily accessible to wash your hands after handling the shrimp which I appreciate :)“
“The food was excellent. I had the surf and turf, which is their filet mignon and lobster tail. My husband had the fish and chips. We both got Caesar salads, and lobster Mac n cheese as sides. We also got to meet Mr. Bonnell, the chef, himself. They have a lot more wine choices there than you'd expect. It was a great night. The only critique I have is that there was not enough pieces of lobster in the lobster Mac n cheese. We had to hunt to see or find them. I'm sure we will be back.“

Really tasted like bread with Parmesan on top, and the fact that we are charged $8 for it needs to be evaluated by management. Honestly the food wasn’t just amazing, but it was ok. It's exterior is a little unassuming in a generic multi-use building off of the highway (drove by it for years and never gave it much thought), but a walk inside and you'll definitely pick up what many locals already knew; this bar/restaurant means business.The dark wood finish and gold/brass give it a nice old-school fancy charm, as do the spiffy uniforms of the bartenders and wait staff. Thankfully the outfits aren't the only great thing about the staff, as almost everyone that spoke to us was very warm, friendly, and polite. We did have some trouble with our reservation, but that is most likely due to the biggest flaw of the place...its popularity.Walking into Mac's at 7pm on a Friday looks like Fat Tuesday at Razoo's...way more packed than you could have possibly imagined. Despite reservations, we were seated about 10 minutes late due to them simply not having a table for us. However, once we got the table, things went right back to great. Our server was quick on the drink orders, got us salad right away, and even gave us some time to enjoy it before getting entree orders (pro tip, if you think you might want the salad...GET the salad). I went with the grilled shrimp, and it they really mean "grilled". The barbeque smoked flavor coming off of these was superb, and the flavor was even better. My wife can't get enough of the crawfish etouffee, it's her fave dish. If you're in the area, you'd be crazy not to try it...just plan for a bit of a wait.“

The food was good...but not great. Based on prices, my expectations were a notch higher. Service was just OK when viewed overall. Red wine was served excessively chilled and had to be replaced by something of a more moderate temperature. One ordered beverage was forgotten until the server was reminded. Toward the end of the meal, Service had stepped up their game and things went smoother. However, combined with the perception of the food, it made us feel that our experience was a step shy of optimal. Atmosphere was great. Perhaps on another visit our experience might have been different, but based on this visit, we were underwhelmed. In short, your experience might be different, but we felt the dollar value left us a little short changed.Parking: Street spots are scarce. “It was our first time going and we've been meaning to visit for awhile. Everything was so good! Can't go wrong with the sampler or the fried jalapeños. The roasted jalapeno soup and clam chowder were to die for! Gumbo had perfect amount of seasoning and the crab bisque was delicious.I had the texas blackened red fish with gulf shrimp, crab butter and green beans with creamy parm rice. Soooo good! “Stumbled upon this place last night wanting to try a new spot around my house. Found it on Google and walked on over. I'm usually very picky of seafood from small and new places. Walking in I was greeted right away (later we found out it was the owner). I had a margarita which was good.I ordered the seafood ceviche which was amazing. They served it with saltines, but I asked for tostadas and they gave them to me no problem. It was really really good. Then the mixed fajitas came out piping hot with some homemade tortillas. Plenty of on street parking or available parking near the apartment. We went early so the upstairs wasn't open yet. It's in a good location. “Pappadeaux is our go to most of the time we passed through Texas. Tonight our dining experience wasn't up to par. From start to finish, it was one thing after another (received incorrect drink and entree). I wasn't planning on saying anything to management, but when we received our check, the entree we received wasn't corrected. Needless to say, that's when I decided that management needs to know about the our experience. They can't fix the issue(s) if they are not aware of it. Before talking to management, I was upset enough and wasn't planning on returning to this particular location. The manager, Collin, whom we dealt with, didn't like what we had to say. By the end of the conversation, we told him we'll be back next time we're in town. Not bc Collin comped our meal, bc that's not our intention. But bc how passionate he felt about the mission of the restaurant and invited us back and give them another try.“

“We arrived, had reservations seated at our table our server came over immediately took our drink orders, this restaurant was packed mind you, she came back with our drinks took our orders and we talked for about 5 min. Our chef came out put on an AMAZING show, he had us interacting along with him by flipping food from the spatula into our mouth. There was a fire show and laughs by all.
