“Above & Beyond – A Standout Subway Experience!

Stopped into the Subway on Camp Bowie Blvd W in Fort Worth today (9/1/25) for a quick lunch, and I’ve got to say—this visit completely exceeded my expectations.

We all know what to expect from Subway: decent sandwiches, decent speed. But this location? It stood out in all the right ways—and that's 100% thanks to the incredible woman working during lunch today. I didn’t catch her name, but she absolutely deserves some recognition.

From the moment I walked in, she greeted me like we’d known each other for years. It was like talking to your best friend—warm, upbeat, engaging, and genuinely kind. On top of that, she was fast, efficient, and clearly knew her stuff. The sandwich she made was hands-down one of the best I’ve had from any Subway in years.

The store itself was spotlessly clean, which is impressive given the challenging area it’s in. There are a lot of unhoused individuals around, and if you’re familiar with the neighborhood, you know it’s not the easiest spot to maintain a business. But this staff is clearly on top of it—they keep the lobby tidy, welcoming, and safe.

I work nearby and will absolutely be making this my go-to lunch spot moving forward. The lady working today is an asset to this store and the entire Subway brand. Someone needs to seriously consider her for a promotion—she would make an excellent team leader or general manager.

They both have everything extra I asked for and actually have the extra meat I pay for…service was good and the order was ready right on time. 10 out of 10. “Walked in a bit late (Unfortunately I was in the passenger’s seat of my parent’s care who needed to run some errands) and told them my name. They proceeded to tell me that they didn’t have someone with that name. Which was weird. I would’ve showed them the order on my phone but it had disappeared.Told them I came a little later than the time given. They checked the computer, saw my name and that my order had already been picked up. They were wondering if it was DoorDash (it wasn’t.)Makes me wonder if someone had a similar sounding name or something and they accidentally gave them my order. Idk, the whole thing was weird. They seemed pretty confused too, lol. But one of the women made me another sandwich along with the other things I ordered online so everything was fineeee“

“I was the only one in the store at that moment... And I sat outside the store for about 10 minutes waiting for the rain to subdue and i saw no customers come or go. The one thing that I didn't like, was how the cashier/ sandwich maker came from the back, with gloves already on, and threw away some type of trash. She preceeded to make my sandwich, using the same gloves. She grabbed my bread, added and adjusted the meat using the same gloves. She reached and grabbed the mini cooler, opened it, grabbed a container of vegetables restocked what was on the counter and placed it back. She then continued to make my sandwich. Didn't change the gloves at all.. She touched the register to give me a price and went back to my sandwich and finished it. I think GLOVES should be grabbed new, only when your getting ready to make a sandwich... and removed if there are no more customers and thrown away! Much more sanitary.“

“Journey and Jeff are a breath of fresh air!! My husband and I stopped in to get our The Boss sandwiches for dinner and movie at home night and were very pleasantly surprised by both of them. We usually dread going in there and literally had braced ourselves the entire way there for the bad attitude and incorrect food that we typically receive. Both Journey and Jeff had wonderful attitudes and our food was made correctly. This is a big deal as not once in four years have we experienced that at this location!“

“Today as me and my family we’re enjoying our food at our local subway a man from the streets made a scene by yelling and making threats to the manager Heather and her coworker Chris. As there was many families in the store with lots of younger kids the Manager Heather kept her stored safe and told the man to leave many times as he got up from his seat to get closer to me n my family and the manager and coworker we feared for the safety of our kids and others n the store!!! “This Subway location, under the guidance of Thomas l, the Assistant Manager tonight is the T-total cleanest Subway, keys upgrade that to Cleanest Restaurant I’ve ever been in, and I’ve cooked at many places during my illustrious culinary career from Deli’s to 3 Star foodie dining restaurants. “Today is June 4,2023. This location is a hit or miss most times but today my experience was very pleasant. The three young ladies that assisted us were all so sweet and pleasant. “This subway has had a remodel and looks great. We have been in a couple of times here recently and the associate with ID 442 I did not get her name but she has made our sandwiches everytime we have come in to order. She is the sweetest person and very neat when making her orders. She labels them and asked if we need anything else. She's a keeper for sure. When we got them home they were neatly wrapped and not messy to eat. They were prefect. Please let her know she is doing a great job. Recognition goes along way.

“Overall pretty good, but they do not understand what "light on olives" means.I imagine that the workers here go home after a hard shift and practice putting as many olives on a sandwich as they can. And when they run out of olives, a great sadness sweeps over them as they can no longer do the one thing that brings them joy.Tl;Dr: Make sure you are very clear if you want light on olives.“

“I've never seen a nicer and calm person working at Subway around the country than Natalie. I could feel she cares about customers and talks in a pleasant way with no rush. I would return anytime to order more food only because of her polite and classy attitude. A really pleasant person.“

The menu is what you’d expect from Subway, though this location does offer a few more breakfast options. I grabbed a bacon, egg, and cheese footlong on white before my 9 a.m. flight. It was a solid breakfast sandwich—not gourmet, but it hit the spot and definitely beat standing in line at the more crowded breakfast spots in the terminal.

One heads-up: the breakfast items are easy to overlook. They’re tucked into a rotating section of the menu board that also displays add-ons and desserts, so if you didn’t already know Subway serves breakfast, you might miss them.

He even cut it so that when I opened up the wrapper the slice in the bread was straight up! It was perfect. He's awesome! The restaurant itself was very clean. Everything was in it's space where it belongs. I was very impressed. However, I am disappointed that this location doesn't accept the print coupons. Also, beware that the sign stating that they do not accept the coupons is not posted on the front door. It's posted on the glass at the end of the counter where you place your order. “I enjoyed food here at this Subway since it was clean, well-organized, and peaceful. The lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber, onions, green pepper, olives, pickles, and jalapeños tasted fresh, as seen in the picture. The menu options are quite clear. I ordered a 6-inch chicken subway. I loved the Taste. Price is also worthwhile. Fast service. I felt that this subway is really clean. Food lovers can head here if they want to pick up their food quickly and good.
