“This has been my favorite winery to visit in Fredericksburg for our weekend trip! The wine was delicious. We didn't do a tasting, but opted for a glass of wine to walk around their gardens with. My husband enjoyed their wine while I had both their white sangria and red sangria. They make it in house and may be the best sangria I've ever had. Both white and red were fantastic! Their property is gorgeous, a beautiful place to enjoy the wine inside or out. Plus, we purchased a beautiful bird bath for our garden and enjoyed looking at all the beautiful garden decor they have. We will definitely be back next time we're in town!“

“I’m a club member at Jenblossom as well as a winery owner in the area. At my winery, quality is all we care about - Quality of our wine, venue and hospitality. Eve was our ambassador the day I brought some friends in for a tasting. She did not know I’m industry, nor did she know how high a bar we set for quality at Covington Cellars; so we weren’t getting special treatment.

Eve was magnificent leading us through the flight. She captured the stories of each wine and answered the questions her guests had with ease. She’s a natural at hospitality, and that’s been my experience each time I’ve visited Jennblossom. Quality matters here, too. Highly recommend.“

“We ate at Leroy’s this afternoon to reconfirm what we thought first time we ate here. I’m reporting in to say that yep, it was just as good this time as our first time! We both had a taco first time: L had brisket taco and I had a pulled pork taco. Yum yum. Beans were also very good. And a peach cobbler for dessert. Delicious. Today we each had an order of street tacos. Also came with beans and a grilled pepper on the side. Another yum yum. And once again, peach cobbler…this time with ice cream. Very nice staff that checked on us several times. You can count on us, Leroy’s, as becoming regular customers!!!“

“Omgoodness! Iykyk! This place is $$$. Greasy, juicy burgers in a paper wrapper, fries in a brown paper bag and both are as COUNTRY as you can get!! This is the place for a great burger, cold beer, hot fries and awesome music ❤️ Not even sorry about the pics of half eaten burgers, that’s how good they were! Don’t sleep on the Habanero mango sauce…..amazing“

My wife and I stopped here for a glass of wine and a snack.
They have nice wine and snack selections.
The staff was wonderful. Knowledgeable and attentive.
The building is another historic building with great charme. The flooring is the original from when it was build - real charming.
And all rooms have a great historic vibe to it.
When visiting make sure to see the whole building inside.
We enjoyed everything here.

The service was good but little things like lack of live music and a rambunctious dog ( I recognize these things were out of THV’s control, but can only speak to the experience I had. “On a gloomy day in the hill country with a few hours to spare, we decided to stop in for a tasting, and were wonderfully surprised! What a great find... The wines were superb (especially the Malbec). Having the opportunity to meet and talk with the vinterr was awesome. What a personable guy with a great story. Highly recommend (much better than the other bigger names in the area).“

“I’m not sure where to begin. My husband and I ate lunch on the back patio today with our dog, Dino. We were promptly greeted by our server Jo, who must have written the manual on great service. She was attentive, witty and full of information. Our food was equally as great, we’ve eaten quite a bit of bratwurst in this town in the past 5 weeks, and theirs is lights out. Oh, and to top it off the live music was awesome, check their schedule so you don’t miss Cliff Crawford.“

“I got to try Hye Cider at H‑E‑B and I was surprised! I’m not much of a cider person but wow this actually tasted really good! I really like the flavor of the Hye Heaven, it’s more sweet but not overly sweet which is just the taste I go for nowadays. I definitely recommend!“

My burger was oozing with goat cheese and a mouth watering 1/2 pound beef patty, hell I even added a fried egg!!! “My wife Caroline and I stopped at Nury’s on Main Street in Fredericksburg. We loved the restaurant! The atmosphere, friendly staff, great selections of delicious cuisines, good quality and value. We met the owner Nury and she was so nice and friendly. We ordered some beef empanadas and loved it. We’re definitely going back. It’s our favorite spot now.“

“AUGUST 2024 UPDATE:
Ate at PaPa Jack's BBQ in Waco Texas since reading it was 2nd Best in the State of Texas. We would not give it that high a rating. The brisket was dry..the Best Brisket is Juicy!
When we walked to the car my gentleman friend said " that Wasn't Near as Good as Backwoods BBQ in Fredricksburg". I totally agreed. Can't wait to go to Backwoods Barbecue again.

“Ever was an excellent server. He check on us several times. Our lunch was absolutely delicious. We were seated right away. Great atmosphere. We were waited on, served and out in 45 minutes.
