“This is close to my heart.
1. I live in Friendswood and the truth is this old city is dripping with ooooold racism. So anytime I walk into a new shop I’m so freakin nervous. I know - still today? Yes. BUT you wouldn’t believe how much it’s here in the very fine little town. However. Instantly, I knew I was safe in this store.

2. I found this little gem during the onset of COVID in 2020. Shelves fully stocked. When was there I had bronchitis and I purchased an essential oil blend and gave it a try - WORKED! I aaaalways keep some just in case. It’s even great for allergies which I totally have- ugh.

3. I leave a message of support/ review ONLY when I truly believe because God has blessed me with power of influence with my words. Just saying… probably why I’m a counselor.

4. I got sick and noticed I was out of my oil!!! They were closed and Mike opened to make sure I got my bottle. He did NOT have to do that. I’m so grateful that I cried. Cried hard. For someone that gives so much and goes out of her way, it’s touching that someone would even attempt to do that for me. And that, I’m said to say, doesn’t happen very often.

I wanna gatekeep this place and protect it so no one hurts and or destroys it. But I share it with people I know and love so much so they know where to go for:

A. Amazing customer service- that’s at the top of my list
B. Quality product
C. A caring atmosphere with great patronage (I can’t get out of that store without hearing someone else tell me “oh I love this place and Mike and I will always protect t him” - so see I’m not the only one.

All I ask is if you find your way in this store- be kind and protect them. They are the epitome of ma and paw shop in a great community that we can depend on. In other words- don’t go in there being mean and show your azz.

The texture, seasoning and veggies were wonderful! Chef Chris keeps coming up with wonderful dishes. We'll keep coming back to enjoy his new offering!s!”

“I have always loved masa but after today’s experience my whole view of this location has gone down hill. my son and I came in to have lunch and I saw the sign that said their card machine was down until 3:45. No problem that was only 20 minutes and I wasn’t in a rush. I asked the server if she would check to make sure it will come back on before we ordered (I had some cash but not to cover tip and all) and I didn’t want any of us to be stuck there because the card machine never came on. I asked before I sat down and the server said she would find for me . I over heard I guess the manager or the gentleman get angry that we were there and we should have never been sat. I left money for my drink as well as my sons- but I won’t be coming back to this location. If it was an issue- come tell me that’s why I waited before ordering.. not yell at the server and talk bad about us.”

“The absolute best ice cream I’ve ever had. My fiancé and I are on keto, so we got the keto banana ice cream. I’d suggest leaving it out for 20-30 minutes. It has the BEST texture and flavor! I have also tried the lavender and blueberry cheesecake ice cream, and the lavender is hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. The owners are incredibly kind, and very knowledgeable about their ice cream. I also noticed when my daughter (3) had her blueberry cheesecake ice cream, she didn’t act totally nuts like she usually does with sugar. Love it!!!”

“Pho yen had great ownership and some of the best pho in Houston in my opinion. Now they have new ownership and at least on the surface, it looks to have gotten better. The Vietnamese egg rolls and set up are 2nd to none in Houston. The pho has not changed. They have added banh mi sandwiches with a slight twist. The bread seems to be like a homemade bread texture. It was good but I still prefer the French baguette similar to the boullio bread. The biggest upgrade to the new ownership was a very nice and needed renovation to the dining area. It is still my favorite place for pho. And to the new owners, don't even think of changing the Vietnamese egg recipe!!!!”

“My wife and I have been to Charley's so far 4 or 5 times this month and have yet to be disappointed. I'm not an expert on Philly Cheesesteaks and I can only go by reviews and YouTube videos but these are very delicious. The steak meat honestly I couldn't tell you if its flank or top sirloin but it's moist and hot. We always get the regular cheesesteak with onions, provolone cheese and peppers but without lettuce or tomatoes in order to stay closer to an original cheesesteak. The fries are always hot, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They have homemade lemonade which to me is better than Chick-fil-A's lemonade. Some locations have wings and hand-spun milkshakes but not the one inside Baybrook Mall. The cheesesteaks are really good but ALWAYS get the extra meat option, trust me.

Parking: It's a large shopping mall lot.”
