“5 Monkeys... nice, funny name, isn't it? I've tried this place a few times now, and honestly, it keeps amazing me every single visit. It's a perfect spot to hang out with friends as well as family. The staff is very well-mannered and attentive, they keep checking on you without being overbearing, which is really nice. The Long Island Iced Tea is one of my go-to drinks here, and it's amazing. They also offer complimentary nuts (cashews, peanuts, and chickpeas) which are super tasty and perfect when you want a light snack along with your drink. They opened just a month or two ago, and we've already been here around 6 times, that itself says a lot. Food highlights: Chicken Wings - I call them jumbo chicken wings. I love the garlic parmesan, and my wife loves the buffalo garlic parmesan. 5/5 Chicken Nuggets - Nice, juicy, and crispy. 5/5 Loaded Fries - My absolute favorite appetizer. 10/5 Grilled Chicken Melt - The bread and chicken are sooo good. 5/5 My friend tried the Pitawich (falafel & chicken) and said it was really good. Grilled Chicken Platter - Amazing combination of basmati rice, fries, salad, and sauce. 5/5 My friends also tried the Touchdown Lamb Platter and enjoyed it. Portion sizes, especially for the appetizers, are very generous. If you're looking for good food, good drinks, and a great atmosphere, this is definitely a place to try. They also have hookah, we didn't get a chance to try it yet. On a lighter note , the only small request would be better lighting so we can take nicer pictures of the food... haha! San Antonio badly needed a place like this with good drinks and food, and we finally got it. Perfect spot to watch games and chill. Highly recommended!“

I’ve been here with the family, for a casual dinner with friends and on date-night with the Mrs. and this place always delivers the best!

The ceviche appetizer with cucumber is fresh and huge! Don’t be shy…try it with the octopus and one of their many drink options. Fresh mixed juices with or without alcohol is a great compliment with the home made guacamole. My kids love the juice because it looks and tastes great! The whole fried fish entree is my favorite and the taco plates erupt with flavor. Live music on Saturday night with the air conditioned patio overlooking the hills creates a vibe that only one of their legendary micheladas can compete with. I love the bar area with their countless TVs and the customer service is always top notch, even when the restaurant is filled with people. The detail to flawless presentation, clean tables and the easy parking make this my go-to restaurant for a great atmosphere and just damn good food! Cheers!“

“We stopped in to celebrate our son's 12th birthday, his wish was to go plane spotting as a family. My husband remembered from his childhood how close the planes would fly while coming in to land at the airport so we decided to visit again. Best choice ever! The staff is kind, courteous and attentive. The patio is absolutely perfect for plane spotting! It is beautiful with an amazing garden themed atmosphere. My son was so happy and smiling so big with the massive planes flying into the runway. Thank you Nicha's! 🥰“

We were, however, surprised by Bill because he was so friendly and kind and conversational. Typically the people that seat you at Mariposa are not very friendly. Bill really stood out to us and it was exciting to see someone enthusiastic about their job. Way to go, Mariposa.“

“We were at the Rim location just now. We sat in the bar area and immediately left. The floor had chips, old french fries on the floor and under the table. I had even said something about the floor needed sweeping as the hostess sat us. She didnt even bother to come back to address that. We got up and left. If the staff is like that with upkeep upfront, I did not want to know how they maintain their kitchen. I can understand if they were very busy and did not have time but there was a couple of people in the bar area. They could have addressed that. Very dissappointed.“

“My car stalled right in front of North Italia in San Antonio at The Rim. I had my autistic daughter with me. I had lost my husband two months ago and I was in a panic and beyond stressed. I needed help pushing my car into a parking spot safely as my car couldn’t drive. The manager came out and helped push my car to safety. He offered us water or to make a pizza and I said no thank you that is very kind of you but we will come and eat inside while we wait for the tow truck. The minute I sat down, nothing but the best service. They were so understanding because of my daughter’s special needs and the stressful situation we were in that they were able to go above and beyond for us. My daughter calmed down and was happy. The food was really good. I am Italian and very picky as you can understand why, so I was impressed with the taste and quality. I for sure will be back! Sincerely, I can’t thank them enough.“
