“I cream treats are really good, but my favorite were the cheese curds. I was told to try them with caramel and powdered sugar, that they taste like funel cake. It will be next time because I'm going there again and again for treats. I might try the burgers then.

“Came to celebrate my sister in law and brother in law’s birthdays, so we had 11 people total. Arrived by noon and they were able to get us all seated pretty quickly! I didn’t hear any complaints about food, but I will say The Sundance Kid burger I had was DELICIOUS! If you can’t decide what side to get between fries, chips, or onion rings… skip the fries! The chips were pure deliciousness in my mouth and my husband and daughter swore up and down the onion rings were the best they ever had. Sophie was very attentive and personable and didn’t mind my 6yo talking too much, which is always a plus when people have patience for the youngest of the younger crowd! Between the atmosphere (even the bathrooms smelled nice and were super clean!), the wonderful staff, and the delicious burgers, we would love to come back! As my youngest said: “I give this place a ten out of ten stars!”“

“These burgers are a bit on the pricier side, but they are gigantic and delicious. We’ve ordered for pickup and delivery several times, and if you have some time I definitely recommend eating in the restaurant or at least picking up your order yourself, as things tend to get soggy.
Things that stood out to me on this particular visit:
Neither myself or any of the customers that walked in (there were several) were greeted or even acknowledged. The phone was also ringing nonstop and was never answered. The two people working were extremely busy, but a simple, “Hi, welcome in, we’ll be with you in a moment” would’ve sufficed. I do also wish they were open a bit later especially for Fridays and Saturdays, it certainly appeared they were busy enough for it. I have to let it slide though, as the food, specifically the 2AM burger was phenomenal.“

“Twisted Root is a solid burger joint, with a great casual vibe, which makes it an easy go-to. We stopped in on Friday and enjoyed our meal as usual.

What really stood out was afterward. I accidentally left my purse behind, and the management team went above and beyond to try to track me down and let me know they had it. When I came back to pick it up, everything was still there.

That kind of honesty and effort is rare. Thank you to the whole team. We'll be back soon!“

“🍳 Sunday Brunch Review – J. Macklin’s (Coppell, TX) 🍳 My wife and I stopped in for Sunday brunch at J. Macklin’s and overall had a great experience! The atmosphere was lively but comfortable, perfect for a weekend meal. We did have an extended wait (they were out of biscuits 😅), but I have to give major credit to the management and wait staff. They handled it extremely well and even offered a discount for the inconvenience. Truly phenomenal service, they turned the situation around and made us feel taken care of. We tried the Bacon Board, which has a fun concept but could use a little more creativity. Just maple syrup on bacon didn’t quite hit the mark, but with a little flair this could easily be their signature appetizer. Now the entrées were exceptional. ✔️ My wife’s Southern Benny was flavorful and perfectly executed. ✔️ I had the grilled cheese with a hearty tomato soup and fries and let me just say, those fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. Bottom line: 🔹 Great vibe, 🔹 excellent main dishes, 🔹 and top-tier service. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

The waffle fries with gringo cheese dip, the macaroni and cheese side dish, and the summer salad are must tries. Everything tasted fresh and homemade including the salad dressing. “We had a nice time at Tinman, mainly playing arcade games. The space was clean and they actually had a lot of cool games I’d never seen before. That said, man they love using AI generated images. I’m pretty sure most of the “artwork” on the wall was AI, the staff shirts, the game cards, all AI. I understand the idea, but to me it cheapened the overall experience. Instead of feeling like the space had a unique, thoughtful personality, the AI artwork made it feel a little artificial and impersonal. For a place that’s trying to create an experience, I think having real artwork and more original touches would go a long way.“
