“On 02/09/2026, my wife and I dined at Signature in San Antonio, Texas. We were overwhelmed by the service and the menu. Our server Catherine guided us through all four courses. We were amazed by the freshness of all the ingredients and the presentation. The quail was exquisite. The beet salad was to die for, and the venison melted in your mouth. The fried oysters and crispy salmon were amazing. All the staff were very attentive, but I must give high praise to our server Catherine, who made our special evening even more special. You can work here, have small group meetings, just chill, sit outside and enjoy a nice cool drink on a hot day like Texas here has, or even bring your partner. Landry was our server and she did an incredible job walking through the menu, the wine pairings, and the dietary restrictions (no shellfish) - in addition to being extremely attentive and prompt. We were there to celebrate our first anniversary and aside from being a special occasion, my husband is a huge Yankee’s fan, so we were excited and quickly let down by the service we received. “Hole in the wall, tiny, but authentic and delicious. We bought the egg rolls, beef soup with thin noodles, and spicy lamb soup with thick noodles.

If you’re debating between thick and thin, yes thin is recommended by the restaurant and that’s because it’s easier to eat and soaks in a bit more of the broth. But if you like thick noodles, go ahead and just get thick because if you’re a fan of thick, thin will pale in comparison for you.

Both beef and lamb were very good. I think I prefer beef a little more though just because the lamb was a bit more gamey versus tender. And the beef broth had deep layers of flavor that you can taste if you let it sit in your mouth and taste. The lamb was very flavor forward versus the beef had depth in flavor. At first taste, lamb tasted better but just my personal preference I prefer beef. The lamb was also spicy so maybe it was harder to taste that depth of flavor if it had any because there was a forward spice.

The egg rolls were amazing. We loved how hot and juicy the veggie egg roll stuffed with noodles were. Probably one of the best veggie egg rolls I’ve had.“

“I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place to eat in San Antonio. Located near the airport in a tucked away location, RO-HO Pork & Bread is a hidden gem. This is comfort food at it's finest. Ro-Ho has many great things on the menu, but they are best known for their Torta Ahogada, and it's what I get almost every time. The torta is always hot, the carnitas cooked to perfection, and the tomato salsa is to die for. You can get the torta with straight carnitas or you can mix it up with carnitas, pork stomach and skin, which is what I usually get. The torta also comes with cabbage, onion, radish and lime. No matter how you order it, it's going to be great! The place is super cool, with Mexican artwork and music. There is inside seating and an outside covered patio as well. Everything you can get to drink from the cold case is always ice cold. And they serve one of my favorite Mexican beers, Victoria. Chef Rojo is often around and greets customers. The ladies that work the register and food line are so friendly, and will answer questions if it's your first time. The place fills up quickly at lunch, so keep that in mind. I drive clear across town for my Torta Ahogada fix, if that says anything! Check this place out!“
