“It was absolutely outstanding. This review & my words won't do justice to how amazing this restaurant is. The food is is priced fair. It was delicious, especially the soup of the day (Chicken Gumbo), my server was excellent. But the highlight of the meal was dining just 7 feet away from a massive fish tank. They had a 5 foot Goliath grouper. Black tip shark. An enormous saw fish. All just swimming around while you're dining. I will certainly be back again. Definitely a perfect place to take and impress a date!“

The po’ boy was loaded with plump, seasoned shrimp nestled in fresh, lightly toasted bread with just the right amount of dressing. “OMG!!! Kim's is ?? the best fried fish I done had since I been in Houston! Really everything I had was good. The shrimp and shrimp fried rice! All of it wasn't my food, I was with my best friend so I had to sample his food too lol but seriously the wait is worth it because they cook to order. So have a seat a wait that little 10-15 minutes because for my 1st time eating there it was so worth the wait!“

“I recently hosted a client dinner at Barbacana with a party of 10 and they knocked it out of the park. Chef Christian Hernandez put together a great experience. Every course was well done and the wine pairings were spot on and reasonably priced. It felt like a true culinary experience, not just a client dinner. The service was equally impressive. The staff walked us through each course, explained the ingredients and pairings, and handled our larger group without missing a beat. Chef Hernandez has clearly spent time in Michelin starred kitchens, and that experience shows. It was a great evening for our team and our clients. We will definitely be back.“

My wife and I visited your Lamar Street location on December 26th, and I wanted to take a moment to share how truly extraordinary our experience was, thanks to your incredible staff. We had arrived at your restaurant after a frustrating experience earlier in the day. We had been scammed out of tickets for the 3:00 showing of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and while my wife was trying to resolve the issue with Ticketmaster, I thought we could at least enjoy a drink and try to make the best of it. My wife had been really excited for the performance, so needless to say, she was disappointed. What followed, however, turned what could have been a discouraging evening into something unforgettable. Our server, Carlos, came over and informed us that his manager had overheard our situation and wanted to offer us a free appetizer. We were so touched by this generous gesture. As the night continued, my wife was still on the phone trying to resolve the issue, and at that point, Kayla, another member of your team, came over and offered us a free dinner. Again, we were so grateful, and the kindness shown by your staff really started to lift our spirits. But the incredible service didn’t stop there.
