“We went to the new location for the first time last night. I’m happy to report they have the same delicious food and friendly staff. There were 6 of us at the table. All food came out fairly quickly from ordering time and we were all served at the same time. It is saying a lot because the restaurant was packed at the time on a Sunday evening. The food was served piping hot. My teens are very particular about their tortillas and fajitas …they were very happy with the food quality and taste. The price is fair comparing to today’s food prices. I had the enchiladas en molé, mom had fish tacos, and dad had tortilla soup. So good! We will be back soon!“

I love that they added the new sautéed spinach as a side- super delish. Matt, the GM, is so kind, attentive, and just has the best customer service! “I was a bit sad due to the service(he didn’t do it on purpose!) but it made me feel really ignored and not seen.
The manager, was absolutely wonderful in how she handled the situation. I felt like a human, get heard, felt seen and truly felt I had someone who cares to listen to me.
The food is pretty good which is why I come.
Today was the first time in a long time I felt like a business actually cared for their customer as a person first than income. I’ve had a pretty rough year and this brunch was how I treat myself.

She made sure I was happy after my issue were mentioned to her. I thank you all for caring for me. As a black woman, it can feel as if nobody sees us or cares for us. Today, she showed me she cares. They care. It’s not intentional and they’re truly sorry for anything negative that we as customer feel may happen.

So yes, I’d recommend. The removed start is simply because I didn’t get bread first without asking but that’s not a major deal breaker for this place. They care. That’s enough“

“First went to The Original El Gallo on Jones Rd around 1984. It was a frequent place to get Tex Mex for my good friend Mike Logan & his family. Have loved going there ever since. The best thing is it tastes as good today as it did the first time. Only complaint is we don’t live close enough to go as often.“

“We had lunch here, we saw good reviews on the fajitas and they did not disappoint! Chicken was juicy and the beef fajitas were soft.Both the flour and corn tortillas were good. If you want extra tortillas, it’s $3 for 6 tortillas. Our waiter, Jordan, was very polite, and provided speedy service. Nice spot for Tex mex, would recommend.“

“I grew up in the memorial area, and getting take out fajitas have been a part of my life for many years. We decided to change up our usual spot one night to try out Pete’s. While it was still new and had some starting pains, the food was delish and the customer service was fantastic. When I got the food home it was perfect! It tasted fresh, and was seasoned well. The fresh tortillas is what made it over the top for my family! We will be coming back soon I can’t recommend it enough!“

“We’ve ordered their tamales from here before and enjoyed them so we decided to try out the chilaquiles plate and tacos from here. I liked the flour tortillas, eggs, potatoes and beans on this plate. We had brisket and egg and sausage and egg tacos. It is a wait because it’s fresh and made to order but so worth it. The brisket was savory and juicy. The tacos are small but delicious in flavor. There’s a lot of different seating styles and they have an area to choose your sauces, onions, and cilantro to add to your meal so that’s nice. You do order at the counter and they’ll deliver your plate to your table. This Mexican food is authentic just like how I make it and I really enjoyed it.“

“My neighbor called me and wanted fajitas and she wanted to go to Pappasito's Airtex. We are both widows and we had not been to that location in quite a while. We had about a 15 minute wait around 3:45. We got our table and our waiter was quick to attend to us. We got our drinks and appetizers ordered. When he brought our drinks and appetizers to us he took our order, we split an order of beef and chicken fajitas for two with extra rice and charro beans, then he asked if there was anything else we needed. We were fine. Our order came out quickly and he again asked how we were . He was very attentive and very pleasant making sure we were accommodated. As we were finishing our meal, he asked us if we wanted a desert. We were unsure, so he brought out the sample tray. We chose the ice cream balls rolled in coconut and pecans with caramel syrup drizzled on top. OMG, it was awesome. Just to let you know, the last time I was at Pappasitos was at Deerbrook and I took my son out for Father's Day. The service was not good and our waitress was no where to be found until we were ready to leave. My neighbor, June and I were very impressed with our waiter, Noah, and we will be back and will ask for him. He is knowledgeable, attentive, pleasant, professional and is doing a great job as he made our evening into an awesome dining experience He will be an asset to any business because he cares. “Say No Más is a fun place to hang out and is a smaller/cozier change of place from some of the bigger bars on this block. I like the design of it being a large circle. It’s open air too so it is refreshing to hang out there when it’s warm out at night. They usually have sports on too. They have a solid variety of drinks and the staff is friendly. Definitely check them out if you’re in the neighborhood.“
