The Gumbo is fantastic and the chicken and the pecan praline waffle is out of this world!! You definitely will not be disappointed with anything!! “I'll rate it about a 3.75, I guess. Although my Bang Bang Shrimp was great my sister's said their sampler plate was somewhat less to be desired. We had to wait quite a while for our server, Amy, and they weren't extremely busy. A manager did come to check on us & went out of her way to find my sister a bottle of Coca-Cola :) Gift shop prices are outrageous, but it's a fun place with nice scenic views!“

“Yo, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen in Pasadena is absolutely fire! Our family of five (two adults, three kids) rolled up from East Fwy, and this spot was straight up incredible. The grilled salmon was pure perfection, flaky, seasoned just right, and only about $14, a total win for that gourmet vibe. The Chicken Alfredo? Creamy, saucy, pasta goals for around $13, with portions so big we had leftovers for days. The kids went wild for the Penne Pasta Marinara (about $5.99 each), scarfing down that tangy sauce like champs. And don’t get me started on the honey butter croissants, free with entrees, flaky, sweet, and so good we were ready to grab the whole basket to go. For five of us, the bill was around $60 with tax and tip, which is unreal for scratch made eats.

The service was top tier, our server was awesome, keeping drinks topped off, dropping jokes that had us all cackling, and handling our kids’ sauce mess like a pro. The whole crew was on point, making a busy Monday night feel chill and welcoming. This place is a family friendly gem, cozy and perfect for a squad meal. Chicken fried steak was very bland today.
Mac and cheese has been watery with no flavor for last 2 visits.
Corn was even blah! How do you blah up corn?
The little lady that got us our drinks was very sweet and hard working that's why I'm just knocking off 1 star for service. But the waitress...as long as yours not asking her for assistance with something, she might be ok. But I feel like she would spit in my food for wanting to exchange something out. She's really not the warm and friendly type of waitress...I guess a job is a job. I get it...but dang Gina!“

“On 9/12/25. I showed up at opening time with a order for chicken tenders and sides for 25 people. There were on 4 men working including the manager and cook. While getting the buffet set, filling phone orders and other customers orders. They gave me a time in which my order would be done( 45 minutes) . It was not only done on time but they also loaded it in my car. They were amazing. Excellent customers service. The food was also great. We celebrated my grandmother 's 90th birthday and her favorite chicken is Hartz. I greatly appreciate those men. Highly recommend Hartz on Garth road.“
