“Qdoba is my go-to spot when I'm craving a quick and delicious meal. The food is consistently great, I always leave satisfied! But honestly, what really makes the place special are Ronny and Bianca. Whenever I see either of them working the line, I know I'm in for a great experience. They're both super friendly and always make me feel welcome. If I happen to pop in and see anyone else behind the counter, I'll usually just head somewhere else.“

The staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. I never felt rushed, and everyone made sure I was comfortable and taken care of throughout the entire meal. “Had an incredible evening at Battalion tonight celebrating my wife's birthday!! I've been wanting to try this place for a while now and this was a perfect opportunity for a date night. For starters we had the spinach dumplings and the the meatballs, both were delicious but my favorite were the dumplings by far. For our mains we had the lamb chops and the tenderloin, both incredible. For sides we shared the green beans, the cavatappi, and the manacotti pasta. We were so delighted with all of it and almost too full for dessert....but still sampled the smores panna cotta and the tiramisu. Our server was over the top friendly and helpful, assisted with drink selections and never left us waiting or wanting for anything. “I went there with a bunch of my college friends and honestly everything was great. Chips and salsa was excellent and the guacamole tasted great. We ordered a few top shelf margaritas pitchers and they were just as strong as he said they would be. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately my friends were being rude and lying about what they ordered once they saw the price of the bill. Felt kind of bad for our server because our experience couldn’t have been any better.“

“I grew up in San Antonio. La Fonda was my favorite restaurant as a child. Back then there were multiple locations around the city. Now there are only two, Alamo Heights, and this one which is in Monte Vista. The food is heavenly. The atmosphere is sublime. Service: exceptional. If you don’t eat TexMex anywhere else while in town you should make time for a late afternoon lunch at La Fonda on Main. It’s in a league of its own. ❤️“

“I have been wanting to try this place for some time now after excellent reviews from friends. It exceeded expectations from the well-balanced and delicious cocktails to both cold and hot dishes. For cocktails I tried the Maracuya (welll-balanced, fruit forward but not too sweet) and Club Esmeralda (balanced with fresh herbaceous essence). My husband had the Saltao’ Sour (balanced Mezcal cocktail but not too Smokey with egg white for a nice finish) and Hola Oaxaca (Smokey cocktail balanced with the Orgeat). I recommend trying them all! For food we started with the Nikkei Cebiche which was the highlight of our meal. The fresh Yellow Fin tuna layered with flavors instantly had us ready for a second visit. On to the Piqueos section of the menu where we enjoyed the Yucca Frita, Conchitas a la Parmesana and Anticuchos. Each a warm dish with continued fresh flavors. For our main course we shared the Chaufa (fried rice with pork belly, sausage, egg etc) again layers of flavors and a hearty portion to share. We completed our food journey each with a glass of wine, he a Sauv Blanc from Chile and myself an Albariño. Please come enjoy this lovely gem in Southtown. Steak taco and smashburger - The Distinct Palate Kid loved them!
