“I had dinner here with my family for my nephew's birthday. When we arrived, everyone seemed very busy—there was no one to seat us, and even the waitress took her time. I’m not mentioning this as a complaint, but rather to commend the supervisor; even though it wasn't his job, he provided excellent service—he practically handled 80% of it himself—and I didn't get a chance to thank him. I highly recommend this place; plus, the food is delicious!“

“Gordon Street has very good food, it’s surprisingly good and cheap. We live in Downtown Houston where everything is super expensive and usually not great. Gordon streets food is always better and always 1/2 the price. When we want to unwind and sit in the peace and quiet this is one of our favorites.“

“EVERYTHING is fantastic here! My parents were married in 1963 in Freeport. They honeymooned in Galveston. They drove through Alvin and stopped at Dairyland on the way. Since they were teenagers they drank Cherry Dr Pepper and they said Dairyland has 1 of the best! We moved to Alvin in 1977. I have been going to Dairyland and eating and hanging out for the last 45 yrs!! I have had everything on the menu and it’s all good! My recent experience was not fun as my baby needed a diaper change and the men’s restroom did not have a changing station available. I was offered by staff with restaurant napkin cloths and was concerned it would be the same ones used to serve guests; I respectfully declined as I appreciated the effort and consideration. I recommend management installing one in the men’s room“

“This place has been here since the 90s, but I started going here in the 2010s. The main food thing here is fried chicken and french fries which are good, I go for the chicken tenders which are always served fresh. There are other options like fried rice, mashed potatoes, and lemon cake. At one point they sold a chicken tender/shrimp salad, I loved the chicken tender salad. The prices are fair so if you want a good value for your money try this place, you will find something to like. And also they got 1 of the best Kool Aids, OH YEAH!“

“It's been quite a few years since I had been to a Captain D' s. The exterior has seen better days but it's the I was coming for. The inside seemed ripe for renovation. Food was rather prompt but the fish portions were long and skinny. Hush puppies were nice and hot as were the fries.
