“It’s a typical fast food restaurant but their chicken and sauce bar are delicious!! There’s plenty of parking. After you place your order with the cashier, make sure to ask for containers for the sauce bar. They’ll only give it if you ask. And don’t forget the chips next to it. They won’t tell you it’s there either. The food is flavorful and different from other places.“

“I will be stopping here every day! The staff is so uplifting and friendly. The gentleman at the door (the face of the restaurant you see on the way in and the way out) is phenomenal! I literally leave in a better mood every morning. (even when I am already in a good mood!) The food is great the servers are great and the price is right. If you are one of the folks who had come here pre-covid and experienced the opposite, let me tell you, this is not the same place. This is worth the drive over even when I am not on my way to work!!“

“I am from Austin. I got dropped off in the new Braunfels area coming from San Antonio, I was looking for a place to wait for my ride. I ordered a pastor taco and lengua taco. I loved the pastor the salsas, the tortillas were home-made, delicious! The cucumber lime water is so good! This will be my new stop anytime I travel back home from San Antonio.“

“We needed something to eat this morning and so we did a google search and this placed popped up. So the 4 of us agreed on breakfast so we made the drive from the hotel to here. I have to say that it is well worth it to come here for breakfast! The food was delicious, hot and fresh. We all agreed that we will definitely eat here again!“

“Monterrey Café is truly a prime “hole-in-the-wall” gem! My family and I stumbled upon it while driving down the highway after finding it online, and I’m so glad we did. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and made with love you can taste in every bite. The service was just as impressive, friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Sometimes the best places aren’t the big flashy restaurants, but the hidden spots like this that make you feel at home. Definitely worth the stop!“

“My husband loves this place 100%. I think its good but prefer the flour tortillas from a jalisco. Personally... They have double flour tortillas for tacos and I don't understand it but again my husband loves it. I love the meat 9/10 but not a 10/10 for the tortillas“

“Run. Don't walk. Run and get you some! My husband having lived in Egypt for a period of time was a bit hesitant to try this food because he didn't want to be disappointed, but this is real authentic Egyptian food! The price is a steal for the portion and we were literally salivating on the drive home smelling this. The owner is the nicest guy too so that's a plus. We will be visiting weekly. Thank you! ❤️“

“Love this little gem in New Braunfels-- solid quality and taste, tons of menu items including many sides and breakfast items. Staff are really friendly and helpful, and they speak Spanish in addition to English. Location is very clean and well-maintained, tables are bussed quickly, big parking lot, easy to get to. Do yourself a favor, and make this part of your dine-out rotation!“

“I've ordered the beef street tacos from this location several times now and they are consistently delicious. For some reason they are listed as taquitos on the menu (I believe it's #11) but either way there is a picture of them on the drive-thru menu so you won't get confused. Five tacos for around $11 (includes half a lime and some amazing green salsa to go with it!)“

“I just moved to New Braunfels from the Austin area. I ordered my usual two 4 item breakfast tacos. The tacos are double in size from what I am used to in Austin. It's also a sit down place with awesome service. I went early on a Sunday morning and saw 6 servers there. And they have a patio that you can bring your dog to. The food was excellent and I could tell they used fresh tortillas.“
