“What an adorable place with the most delicious, authentic German food we’ve ever had in the US. I had a lovely dry Riesling wine, pork weiner schnitzel with German potato salad & sauerkraut. It was a large portion & absolutely amazing. Hubby had veal weiner schnitzel & red cabbage. The veal was so tender. We loved it all & will definitely return next time we’re in New Braunfels. Make a reservation ahead of time. It’s cozy & quite popular. We didn’t have a reservation & it took about an hour to get a table, but it was really worth it!“

“The sweetest stop in Cibolo! We always go in for a treat when we’re in town. They have a great variety of ice cream and the cutest seating (even for the smallest patrons). My daughter just had her first “baby cone” here and she LOVED interacting with the employees and other customers. Definitely a must stop!🤍“

“We were here for a baby shower and it was the best one I have ever been to. The bar staff were great, they were slinging drinks quick! And they were so nice too. I love all the specials they had going on, which were posted don the chalk wall behind the bar. Btw there is a thing called train shots, every time the train passes they do $2 shots. The back patio was fantastic! Plenty of room with lots of tables and a stage for live music. Kids are allowed till 8. So it was great to see them all running around. And there were 2 good trucks to get some grub. We will be back for sure, baby shower or not.“

“This was a great little stop on our day out in New Braunfels.

We were able to taste everything on tap, plus the bartender gave us samples of their beers that were in bottles.

I enjoyed all the beers, especially the pickle sour and the Belgian Tripel.

“Impressive would be an understatement to describe dinner last night at Huisache Grill in New Braunfels, TX. A family owned spot for 30 years in an old cabinet shop that is rustically decorated but comfortable. My daughter and I were seated and our server Melissa set us up with drinks while we looked over an interesting menu. It was difficult to decide BUT this place also offers some of the meat options as an add-on to their other plates. So if you want a chicken dish but crave some duck too…you can add duck as a side! I ordered the Huisache Chicken Tortilla soup and Mixed Grill while my daughter ordered from the Mix & Match Combo. Both entrees came with a side salad too. The Chicken Tortilla soup is something you would be remiss…the absolute best version of this soup I’ve ever had! The Mixed Grill had 2x beef medallions, blackened quail, skewered spicy shrimp, and poblano bacon wrapped chicken. I LOVED it all! The creamy horseradish sauce and Dijon/Merlot sauce a wonderful compliment for dipping and the sides of herbed baby potatoes and sautéed vegetable medley nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Mix & Match consisted of beef medallions and the Char-broil grilled duck breast along with green beans and herbed potatoes. Again, everything delicious and the duck was very good and the char didn’t overcook the duck. We tried their GF Apple Crisp…for purists of this dish it is a dramatic flip…but in a good way of this dish. One note…only wine and beer, no cocktails available. This place has excellent service and Melissa was a pleasure to work with, while the soft music and atmosphere is so relaxing.“

I love the ice cream parlor vibe with vintage setting with the diner seats and stadium seats. Had my heart with the little table and chairs for the littles. We were pleasantly surprised! The FOOD yum!! we definitely agreed we would be back and added to the list.“

Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. “Saturday night, dinner time. Went with wife & kids. There were several other kids in the patio area. Crowd was largely parents in the 30 to mid-40 age range. Two dudes were at the inside bar wearing navy flight suits. ... I doubt they were actual navy (hair, unshaved, and really). Thought about playing the Righteous Brothers for them. Their 10y/o kid was also sporting a flight suit and playing with a volleyball. Maybe a costume contest, but still kind of annoying. Not the restaurant's fault.

We sat outside. The high temp for the day was 93, but the area was very comfortable thanks to some large trees in adjacent properties that shaded the area. My youngest played on the playset. My oldest opted to challenge a couple other kids to jenga. Cornhole, steel darts, and dancing are also available. A band was getting ready when we left.

We were hungry. So didn't wait for the server and just went to the bar. Food was fast, fairly priced, & portions were large. Fried mushrooms were bland, but my chili was good.

-- Ding on service is due to a few minor hiccups/delays. We got a brand new waitress that was still learning, and they may need to buy an additional frier. Minor.

“If you're lookin for a nice piano bar to sing along to some of the most classic songs, then this is the place you've been looking for. They have quite a large beer selection and despite how crowded it'll get on Friday and Saturday nights, I've never had to wait at the bar for more than 3 minutes to get a drink. If you're wanting a more laid back atmosphere, check it out during one of the week days as it might be a bit much for some folks during peak times. There's a courtyard out back if you need to get some air or just need to have a quick cig as well as two pool tables in the back. Definitely a good place to stop in during a bar crawl.“
