“This is a great breakfast spot with great portions and prices. The grumpy old man is the action at this place. I think he sits people, busts tables and sometimes starts you off with your drink if the server is busy at the moment. He absolutely does not care if he butchers your name or whatever. He'll tell you to deal with it and go sit at your table in the nicest grumpy old man way. It was pretty funny to watch
The Chef's here is amazing absolutely no burn on the eggs, crispy hashbrowns, the biscuits are amazing.
Servers is on the spot. We had great service from both servers both days we went.“

“We had lunch today on the porch! LED off with Fried Oyster appetizer! Spicy Crunchy Trout with Broccoli and roasted potatoes and a really nice side salad. My wife had the Three Seafood Salad with Salmon and Shrimp. I know there was another seafood item but she can’t remember. But the waitress was so professional and in these days…she was so good! I wish we’d gotten the Fried Brie appetizer! A little hard to Locate back in behind the other shops but they were also fun! Very good bread as well!!!!“

“We are from Austin Tx and decided to have a night in NB for a change. After a few recommendations from the locals we stumbled into The Oyster Bar. Immediately impressed by the atmosphere and was greeted by Katie aka “KK”! She was amazing with her service and personality. Gave us the best recommendations on Premium Oysters and wings. Katie is masterful behind the bar and owns the craft, our drinks were amazing. The food was amazing! Definitely recommend 20 out of 10 this bar. This is not your average bar! Love it and will be back.“

“My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary at Myron's June 18, 2024. Our hostess Monica was wonderful. She was courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable. Our steaks were prepared to perfection. “We stopped for a quick wine tasting while exploring New Braunfels as first time visitors from ND. The Wine Steward, Johnny, was friendly and we ordered the sweet wine flight with charcuterie. All the flavors were delicious. Service was friendly and attentive.“

“The Purple Pig was recommended to me, and I recommend this outstanding BBQ eatery enthusiastically. The best pulled pork BBQ I've eaten has been in Tennessee. Nothing to compare. We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. Meets and exceeds our high standards to perfection. Don't miss this delightful experience. There are many things that makes the pulled pork extraordinary. Quality. Pecan smoked, not common to Texas. Wonderful sides. Add to the excellence of the food is the service and the quaint, charming setting. Five stars.“

“One of my favorite NB restaurants! I work downtown and have ordered online for pick up plenty of times, the food is always delicious and the customer service is top notch. Even when they are in their crazy lunch hour rush, the employees are all friendly and have my lunch ready and waiting on time! “This place is the real deal. A hidden gem for sure. Traveling back home from a hunting trip my family and I made a quick stop here to enjoy some puffy tacos and really grateful we chose this spot. The charro beans were perfect and the rice was sensational. Everything had a true tejano flavor that brought back child memories of what you remember good food tasted like. Very hard to find these days. The service was extremely friendly. Wish I lived closer but we definitely will make this our new pit stop back and forth from now on.“

“I was so happy to find a pub that serve authentic Smithwicks and Guinness! Yummy beer.. now on to the food. My husband- who is from IL gave the pizza a 8.5 out of 10, but when he asked for a side of marinara... changed it to a 9. My steak Philly was yummy and rhe bread was fantastic. Could've used more cheese but still tasty.
Overall- fantastic experience, even though guinness was $10 a pop for draught. Wowza!“
