“These are the nastiest wings I ever had in my life, I ordered a 16 piece lemon pepper hot wing and they sent one order of bland hot wings with curly frys and a order of no flavor tasteless wings with cury frys I did not know chicken could be so bland and nasty. we didn't even eat them they're just sitting there, we did not even have dinner because it was so bad.”

“1st city cafe is one of our go-tos in Nacogdoches when we treat ourselves to a meal out. There are some really excellent dishes like the Gruene Enchiladas, and the bread pudding is absolutely delicious. My only complaint food-wise is that it's a little on the heavy side. Sometimes I'm in the mood for that, but sometimes not. I would like to see them continue to innovate with some healthier options- more varied salads, fish, etc. (The coffee is ok. I have always thought they could up their coffee game.) Overall, always a pleasant experience and though nothing too outside-the-box, it is hipper than most of what you will find in this area. It is extremely clean and service is always really friendly, and they've got good drinks!”

“I don't have a Taco Case where I live and have always wanted to try it. We were headed home after a cruise and stopped here. The staff were all super nice, the service was fast and the food was amazing!! Definitely will be a stop for us on our way to and from the cruise ports!”

Then I was introduced to the Crunch Roll (which still is the best) and my life was changed forever. Now I have tried everything on the menu and have many favorites. I ordered a club sandwich for this visit and service was prompt and as expected at a reasonable price. While waiting on my food, I wandered off into one of the other stores and the lady at the register was kind enough to bring my food to me. Will be back for some of their many great options.”

“ASM meals are so yummy and honestly a life saver for me. I haven’t purchased a meal that I haven’t enjoyed. Great prices and made with care. These meals keep me going on my healthy lifestyle. Fresh with no preservatives!!! My kids steal bites and the hubby eats them too. I think I’m most grateful for these meals on the busy nights. If you haven’t tried ASM meals you are definitely missing out! I can’t wait to try the low carbs desserts she’s been cooking up this week!! 💕🤤”

“DISSATISFIED : We arrived before the lunch rush, so it wasn't that busy. Our server wasn't very attentive considering it was slow. Our food looked AMAZING when it arrived but the first bite into the Torta de Milanesa and it was disgusting. It tasted like old meat that was reheated in the microwave, not only that but it was stale. The rest of our food was pretty okay. When checking out the 2 front people (I'm assuming hosts and manager) were not very customer friendly. Overall the experience wasn't that great, the food was average. It's really overhyped. Edit: I don’t know how to work Facebook but I do NOT recommend this place”

So, if that's any indication of their food's quality, then it's good. Also, their breakfast menu seems to finally have arrived, so probably going to check that out soon. The facebook pics of the breakfast look so good. Only thing, a little hard to find if you aren't familiar with the shopping building that the restaurant is located in. The parking is on the side not facing Main St.”

“I have eaten at probably hundreds of subways in my life and this location has by far the nicest people working there. Every subway is usually pretty consistent but this place has literally made me the best sandwhich out of any sub I've ever had. They love to offer little tips or ideas to enhance the experience(my favorite is toasting the sauce into the bread) will definitely make this a regular lunch stop whenever I'm driving through nac. Elizabeth is amazing at her job!!!”

“Very good bakery that makes very creative variations of Mexican sweet bread not seen in other Mexican bakeries. I've been to other bakeries in cities like Austin and Houston and this to me is one of the good ones for this area. The bread is also moist, not dry like some places. The tres leches cake was excellent, although I wish they had other varieties like strawbery and cinnamon. Nevertheless, I will return for more mexican sweet bread, tres leches cake, and cookies in the future. Lastly, I honestly feel they need a bigger, better sign outside that can bring more customers to this business. At one point, I couldn't tell if the place was open or not. I'm really glad I stopped by today.”

“A HUGE thank you to Jalapeño Tree Nacogdoches for saving the day on Saturday, October 4th. We called them in a panic after a catering mix up left our family members wedding with no dinner! We called Jalapeño Tree Nacogdoches and within a hour had a full fajita dinner for 80 people. The staff were so incredibly nice and helped pack everything in our car and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you guys so much for literally saving a wedding!”
