“Had a great experience. Service is top notch and the general feel of the place was welcoming and inviting.
My gnocchi was delicious! So was my dessert. Everything is meant to be kinda healthy, so this might not be the right place for everyone.
Looking forward to being back and trying more of the menu.“

“Food was very good and brought with reasonable time. My family and I visited during graduation weekend, so it was reasonably busy. Trays of drinks were shattered on two separate occasions during our visit which disrupted the atmosphere but overall our server was very attentive.“

“Stopped by for the first time for a quick visit. Great service from the bartender, Ashley. Big fan of the deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes, Down By the Bay (cocktail), and Something Sunny(cocktail). Me and my wife were Huge fans of the desert the Whiskey Cake!“

“Went here for a team lunch and decided to try the roasted poblano soup. It was so creamy, tasty, not spicy but flavorful, it satisfied my soup craving. I also tried the half Italian sandwich and a bite of the ultimate sandwich. I love sprouts on sandwiches, it was such a truck sandwich! Everyone enjoyed their meals and the ambiance of eating al fresco.“

“Terrific spot for casual dining atmosphere with gastropub-like food options (not sure that's still a thing, actually... but you get the idea). The only thing I didn't personally like was the pulled ribs (Baby Got Back sandwich), which tasted a bit like burnt ends to me, but my wife liked it, so it didn't go to waste. The Blaze Chicken "hot honey" was a bit spicy for our 13 year-old but tasted great.“

“Excellent choice for our anniversary dinner in San Antonio. The staff was excellent and went above and beyond. The food was amazing! The only issue was the tables are very close together and not a lot of elbow room. Would highly recommend!“

“I like the Yard House at La Cantera...it has outdoor seating and lot of good memories. The downtown San Antonio location is okay it just takes parking in the parking garage and a little walk to get there. Paid parking, they don
t stmp your parking tixket any longer. No outdoor seating either. I prefer happy hour and sharing with others so you get to try a lot of the appetizers. The martinis, drinks and beer are good! A little pricey during regular hours but happy hour pricing is great!
Parking: Paid parking available. Depends on what's going on in San Antonio as to whether you will find ample or little parking available. Paid $15 to park fir and hour and a half. There is an elevator to get to lower level.“

“Every month I am in charge of picking a place and organizing a lunch for group of retirees from Fernandez Elementary. I saw some posts on FB and thought Box St. La Cantera. Look like a great place for us. It did not disappoint. The food and drinks were outstanding and Isaac our waiter was fabulous and very accommodating. We were a group of 14, but he was so friendly and helpful and made our experience a special one. Everyone at the restaurant was great! I know I’ll be back! Thanks Box Street!♥️“

“Starting the night off with a Warsteiner Dunkle; crisp, and refreshing while my wife enjoyed Planet Oregon's sparkling Rosé.
Our 1st appetizer was the Brown sugar cured soy glazed pork belly musubi, delicious and light. We continued with the 2nd appetizer, roasted bone marrow with beef tenderloin tartare, which was phenomenal...by far the best tartare I've tasted in a long time. It's lemony tang combined with a floral tartness leaves you wanting more.
For the entrees: the beef tenderloin, a delicious medium rare served with cauliflower, shishito peppers and potato gratin was balanced perfectly with its side of crispy onion rings.
The braised beef short rib was as tender as the tenderloin, falling apart at the touch of a fork. Blending the mashed potatos, carrots and peas drew forward the flavors of the horseradish crème fraîche.
For dessert: we ended the night with their heavenly, delicious..Butter Cake.
The experience was pure BLISS.
Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is a wheelchair friendly route outside of the restaurant.“

“Exceptionally long wait time between ordering and being served the entree. The Wagyu I came for was about as good as if I had gone and bought it and prepared it myself. The lighting is so damn dark where they sat us I could barely see the meal. Underwhelmed overall. Wait staff seemed to be in a hurry and never bothered to give us their name. I’d rather buy my own steak and prepare it at home where I can have some decent lighting and see my date.“

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Qulturè in the San Antonio Stone Oak section is an absolute gem! I recently visited with my Real Estate industry friends and had an incredible experience. The ambiance was fantastic, the music was lively, and the drinks were reasonably priced. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the mouthwatering lamb chops. Monique, the owner, exuded warmth and friendliness, making our visit truly memorable. I can't recommend this place enough for a great time with excellent food and service!“

“Velvet Taco is the best taco place I’ve ever been to. The diversity in flavors are to die for!
Ratings of tacos I’ve tried so far below..
Velvet Taco Ratings
#7 Buffalo Chicken
-not enough fresh ingredients. You can’t taste the carrots as they are overpowered by the Buffalo sauce.
-needed something creamy to balance the spice .. probably the blue cheese for other people but I hate blue cheese so I asked for none.
#6 Queso Birria Duo
-ordered uber eats and by the time it got to me the cheese was all hardened and not gooey
-not enough dipping sauce for the two tacos
-not as flavorful
-Birria is my favorite kind of taco so I’m a hard critic on these
#5 Chimichurri Steak
-this was so fresh!
-steak was a little chewy.. not a fan of steak tacos usually because of this BUT the chimichurri, avocado and just the overall taco was so tasty!
#4 Mexi Cali Shrimp
-again SO fresh and tasty
-I would have preferred the shrimp be cut up not full pieces of shrimp just to have an easier bite.
#3 Grilled Salmon
-this was one of the best seafood tacos I’ve ever had.. and living in Florida I’ve had a a lot.
-the slaw and crema were *chefs kiss* delish!
#2 Korean Fried Rice
-this one was unexpectedly good but will go down in history on my pallet as an absolute star. 9/10. 4 stars. Could kiss the chef who came up with these flavors on the cheek!
#1 Cuban Pig
-best taco ever. 10/10. 5 stars. Hit my taste pallet so freaking good. I’ll be dreaming about this taco until the next time I’m near a velvet taco. The saltiness from the pickles, the sauce the crispy bit from the toasted ham… UGH so good!“

“Stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant and was extremely pleased. They are doing it right. When I find a restaurant that has a menu that intrigues me, I create my own rating experience and order everything. The Beet salad was awesome. The the swordfish was prepared perfectly. The ricotta cavatelli ??. The Desserts ?.
I was only in San Antonio for a short time, but this dining experience was memorable.
I'll be back to order the other half of the menu, but I was told it's a seasonal menu, so when I get back, I'm open to trying what ever the chef puts on the menu.“

“Prices listed are May, 2024
This is a good place for a weekday brunch or lunch. We stopped by and had the Chicken Salad Sandwich and the Turkey Cobb Sandwich – both were solid choices at $15 each. The food overall is really good. They have sandwiches, burgers, and salads. Plenty of options, but the menu stays simple, which I appreciate.
They also have a nice selection of regional draft beers, heads up though: they’re only 14 oz, not pints, and they cost $8 each.
Service was decent, nothing over the top but no complaints either. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and want good, straightforward food“

“Went there for lunch while in town and had a real nice, clean and crisp Moutain Man. They had 12 or 13 beers on tap so there is a nice variety. Enjoyed the grilled cheese. Showed up piping hot. Love the military themed decor and overall vibe. Will visit again when back in San Antonio. One of the best craft breweries in San Antonio, Tx.“

“Been coming here for years with my coworkers for lunch and I don’t think Iv ever been disappointed. Maybe a couple times the food took a lil while to come out but only when it’s crazy busy. But Iv tried most of the menu and it’s all amazing truly. Super friendly staff, great food good atmosphere. Highly recommended! “Overall, this is a fun spot that I have been going to for years. The selection is outstanding and the prices are pretty appropriate for the area.
Over the last few times there we noticed a decline in the overall presentation and service though. They didn't seem to have enough staff and the staff they did have were clearly moving quickly but were overwhelmed.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have ramps and handicap parking.“
