I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years now - currently live in Austin and will drive up to see my family to justify eating here for dinner. My sister has even driven up from San Antonio just to meet me here for Sunday lunch. Massive portions of amazing food, great service, and reasonable prices. Hands down the best Chinese food in RR/Austin metro. 10/10 would recommend.“

“I'd definitely come back. The beef in the beef roll was cooked very well, and the vegetables and sauce balanced the flavor nicely. The youtiao had a nice chewy texture and good flavor. It was a little oily but not terrible. My order was very quick to come out, and the lady in the front was friendly and gave me several sauces to try with my food.“

“The Shrimp Teriyaki was good. I do wish the salad wasn’t put with the hot food. It makes it hot too and mushy. The big bowl with extra veggies doesn’t travel well and there aren’t many veggies on this like advertised, and didn’t taste that well. It was soupy. The lettuce wraps were okay. I still recommend this place.“

The One Pho absolutely delivered a 10/10 takeout experience! I ordered the steak pho and the pork and shrimp spring rolls, and everything was excellent. The pho broth was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. They packed everything generously and included all the condiments I love fresh basil, lime, jalapeños, and more.

The biggest surprise was the spring rolls. They were incredibly crispy, much crispier than I expected, and still fresh and hot when I bit into them. Every item tasted fresh, well-prepared, and thoughtfully packaged. I’ll definitely be ordering from The One Pho again!“

“The Anko Cookie is absolutely amazing!

The almond cookie is buttery without butter, and the creamy anko filling melts in your mouth. It's unique, elegant, and not overly sweet like many desserts. I ended up buying a few more to take home.

Since they're handmade in small batches, they sometimes sell out before the end of the day. I'd recommend checking availability or stopping by early if you really want to try them.

“Had dinner here with a colleague based on their suggestion. We ordered a spread of items and shared everything which I would suggest to get a taste of many different items. We ordered the Pulled Pork Tostadas, Crispy Fried Thai Ribs, The Pork Belly, Brussel Sprouts, and Charred Broccoli. Overall, the Crispy Ribs were both our favorite. Pork Belly was really good and super tender. Pulled Pork Tostadas were good but nothing really special. Sides of Brussel Sprouts and Broccoli were both good but definitely would say the Brussel Sprouts were the better of the 2. We ordered all of that and each had a beer for $84.“

“Just tried Fire Bowl Cafe for the first time, and I was so impressed! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a friendly greeting. The staff took the time to explain the menu, offered great recommendations, and made the whole experience feel personal.

The cashier was patient and made many suggestions for the menu and even offered to split items to create appetizers. This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. I always order from Chefs Special Menu which is higher price than regular lunch. Today we tried bock Choi which has very unique taste. We were told this is different bock Choi vegetable and it is the original Chinese vegetable. It does look different and has darker green color. We also tried trout fish in very tasty black beans sause. One of our favorite dish is eggplant with pork. And the last dish we had is pork fried rice which my loves.“

“We used to live in Austin over 6 years ago and Chi’Lantro was one of our absolute favorites—I have missed the kimchi fries since we moved!
We recently came back and were so happy it’s still just as good. We definitely miss the kimchi burger (please bring it back!), but we loved trying some of the newer menu additions like the BBQ pork and K-pop chicken. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and such a fun fusion concept that really works.
What stood out just as much as the food was the service. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. You have the option of getting white rice or Fried rice with your dishes, its not full of flavor, but it was not oily either, so I prefer that. The white flat noodles, think it was Pad ke mao, and it was very tasty with a little heat. My new fav hole in the wall, I would definitely come back again. “My roommate and I came from CorePower across the street, hungry and famished and looking absolutely crazy drenched in sweat. We didn’t read the sign and I yanked on the door handle because it was closed. The manager was so sweet though and he let us in, brought us water, served us food, asked if we wanted fish sauce to go, and told us that we didn’t need to clean when we left because even at home his wife doesn’t need to do anything. Just for the service alone I would give 5 stars but the food was also great; she got chicken vermicelli and I got beef.“

“I have no idea why this place has 4.2 stars. I literally almost didn't try it, but I'm so happy I did. This is hands down the best Chinese food I've had in Texas since moving from New York. We ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken wings and the beef and broccoli. It was so damn good and the portion size is more then generous. “I’ve been trying out Kuhblai Khan lately as I had never had it before and always passed it driving in and out of Austin. I gotta say this place is a hidden gem and is very under rated! The staff are very nice, and they took great care of me when I brought up a concern about my noodles being wrong. They fixed my order by making me the udon noodles I had originally wanted, not to mention I got an extra order of calamari! The food was delicious and the portion size was great for the price I paid. After my experience tonight this has made Khublai Khan my go to Mongolian Grill! Highly recommend!“
