“We just moved here to st hedwig and I found this local restaurant, I wanted to try their breakfast after reading the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. We stopped quickly to get 4 bacon egg and bean tacos to go, my husband who is really picky loved them and so did I. The tacos were so delicious along with the beans, the tortilla was very soft. I definitely want to come here again to dine in ?

“We had an early dinner this afternoon. The food was fabulous. We had the shrimp and catfish. The food was exceptionally fresh, the batter they use is wonderful and the coleslaw is about the best I’ve eaten in my 74 years. The food was hot and served quickly and the waitstaff is phenomenal. The place is clean and everyone was so gracious. Highly recommend!!“

“We loved the environment (cultural music, art and videos), the service and the food!! We ordered the combination fried rice of chicken and tofu with the spicy sauce on the side. Also ordered the Ban Chay, the vegetarian vermicelli soup in Thai broth. To drink we ordered two black boba teas, one mango and the other jasmine milk tea. We'd pick up frozen pulled pork in Tennessee and bring it back to Texas as a treat. Nothing to compare until our first visit to The Purple Pig in June. “Arrived and seated with chips and salas at the table in under 90 seconds! The wait staff was kind and speedy! Had the Speedy Gonzales plate and subbed a Chicken Crispy Taco instead of Beef. Our table was given flour tortillas and they were delicious! The space was welcoming and lots of seating. That was my go to restaurant for my 92 year old Dad for 40 years. He ordered the Mexican plate and was delighted everything was delicious. They both bring such good energy — professional, friendly, and always on point. Whether it’s a hectic night or a chill one, Carsen and Annie handle it with ease and make everyone feel welcome. You can tell they love what they do, and it shows. Leave Definitely two of the best — the ticket bar wouldn’t be the same without them!“

7am the earliest is when they open now not sure why.

The food is actually very good from someone who has been many places globally.
The young man at the counter is very shy but kind and has to put up with the sometimey cook in the back.

Don’t be shocked to hear them say they don’t want to make something and the order is too big.(usually it’s not)
Not very good for business.
They will put restrictions on how many of a certain item you can buy.
Overall this isn’t the prettiest place to stop but they keep it clean at the tables and they don’t too long to get your food out to you.
Small mom and pop shop so come with that in mind and you will get some pretty good tacos for sure.
Tea is a bit too sweet for my liking but heck I don’t like diabetes on my first sip.

“It is an extremely comfortable place. It kind of looks like something you would not want to go into but that would be a mistake because the food is very good. Since it is small it can get packed very quickly.

“Great place went with extended family twice, I don't remember what everyone had, but I had the cheese quesadilla with shrimp and the tortilla soup. There were about 10 cars in front of me in the drive thru line but within 14 minutes I was in and out of the parking lot.
My kids love the buckaroo chicken tender meal, very fair in size it almost seems to be the size of a regular combo #4. Only difference that I noticed is a kids drink versus a regular sized cup.
Bonus points for the brownie with nut dessert included 🙂 $6.30 for this meal“

“Food is good, but the lady who took my order has a bad attitude, she looks Hispanic but the receipt says IEM YANG. I always order the same thing, bourbon chicken and fried rice. When I pulled up she came out and said they only had two things ready I told her I didn’t mind waiting, she said it would be about 20 minutes I said no problem, I paid for my food and less then 5 minutes my food was ready which I was happy about. Her attitude needs to change she is real snappy and rushed me out of there.“
