“The seafood here is so fresh and absolutely delicious! If you order fried food be sure to order it “seasoned.” My recommendation: seafood gumbo and the Mate Plate seasoned. You choose two proteins. I like the fried catfish filets and fried shrimp with hush puppies. If you prefer, they can broil the proteins. SO GOOD!“

“I'm sorry, but an 11 year old should not be working the register. When I requested an adult to close me out with my card, the male owner was rude and aggressive. I have been customer for 2 years and never had an issue with anyone else.“

“I have eaten at various Cajun seafood restaurants, because who doesn’t love a good boil?

The biggest issue I’ve had with many of the eateries I’ve been to is either the lack of flavor but mainly the excess use of salt.

7spice had all dishes seasoned perfectly! I got mild spice level for all dishes, and I thoroughly enjoyed the crab legs, vegetable, fried fish, the sweet potato fries.

Only qualms would be that the toasted bread had a very bad chemical taste, probably from the type of butter they spread on it. And their coleslaw was watery, it was more of a soup than a salad!

Other than that, everything I ordered was awesome and also made for some good left over the next day. Thanks y’all!“

My husband tired the Gumbo, nice mild flavorful.
Inshore the flavors of Louisiana food was awesome. All the orders were perfect & with so much flavors. My family ordered the oysters, it was not the best, but ok We had a great time.“

“Fried shrimp and Seafood Gumbo“

“So I sent my hubby here based on neighborhood post and he quickly reminded me we had been here before awhile back. Anyway, I asked for a shrimp and fish po-boy in which he called stating it couldn’t do both and my thoughts were okay whatever just make it shrimp then. (attitude in tow) Well, when I got the po-boy I could see clearly why the owner said they both couldn’t be achieved. Those dang on shrimps were huge and he was not skimping on the number added to my po-boy. Also, one thing that stood out and important when making a po-boy is the proper bread. He got three thumbs up from me. We had left over fish from another plate and made grits the next morning then added the fish to the air fryer. The flavor was even more bustin bustin.“

“Why go to Pappadeaux when you can get the same quality and portions for half the price. Yeah you give up a little in the area of atmosphere and it's in an area of town that might trouble you, but I've always chosen a restaurant on the basis of taste of food and the price for that quality of food. It IS the BEST Cajun food you're gonna get for the money. The owner often services your table and is flexible to menu variations. I hope he gets confident enough to open up another restaurant in a safer part of town. I know he will do well if he can just get people in there.“

“My husband brought me here to celebrate clear scans from my oncologist. It was my first time eating here and it was DELICIOUS! The complimentary bread and butter was so yummy, and the lump crab spinach dip was delectable! My husband ordered the cajun chicken tenders and was very pleased. I ordered the crawfish etouffee and it was the best etouffee I've ever had. Our waiter, D, was so awesome and on top of everything. I couldn't decide between 2 drinks, the Lifes a Peach or Purple Voodoo, so I asked his opinion and said peach. I ordered Life's a Peach and it was so good. Very very happy with my experience and I hope to come back some day.“

“Food was SO GOOD. I loved my shrimp po-boy, because it's hard to find one in Houston where the shrimp is seasoned. This had nice flavor. My friend was impressed with his fish and oysters platter - so much fish and perfectly fried. I had a bite of the catfish and it was flaky and delicious, not dry in the least. And they have Big Shot! Been missing these true New Orleans flavors. We'll be back.

Note that if you go late night on a Friday (we went around 11), the parking lot of the whole center might be jammin' and blocked off in a lot of spots... you may have to get a little creative with parking, ha ha. But the restaurant itself was chill, loved the art and photos on the walls while we waited on the to-go order.“

“Fish Place is amazing. The best way to describe it is like a home cooked meal that makes you feel warm inside and good for your soul. We've had many things from their Cajun pasta, redfish with crawfish, ettoufee, jambalaya rice, red beans and rice, blackened chicken...and their veggies are AMAZING (green beans and mixed veggies esp). There hasn't been anything that we haven't liked yet, somehow we drove by it for years before trying it out, don't make the same mistake!“

“When I say have mercy… have mercy… yes indeed this food is excellent and we did reg spice and enough for us because it’s so tasty. I did oxtails and shrimp and can get 3 servings out of my plate. My hubby did a pasta… are it all though. lol. My daughter did fried shrimp and can get 2 meals out of it. Try many dishes and share. They threw in some greens that taste like home. “I am from Haughton, LA (home of Dak Prescott). I have been following Lotus Seafood on Facebook for 3 years until I finally made a trip to Houston last week on 7/11/24. The food looked so good on Facebook, but the amazing taste when covering with the Crack sauce. I will definitely be back next year during crawfish season. 😋. If the seafood was this good, I cannot imagine how good the crawfish is.“
