“I am from New Orleans, and very dubious about trying restaurants that claim to be New Orleans food.Rouxpour made me feel like I was in New Orleans. The chargrilled oysters were so delicious. We got the traditional and the Rockerfeller and they were both amazing. For entrees we ordered stuffed flounder and red snapper. The crab stuffing in the flounder had the right amount of flavor, and the crawfish, crab and avocado sauce on the red snapper was delicate, creamy and every bite was a delight. Finally, the chocolate cake was creamy and decadent, and the bananas Foster was a joy for the mouth!Last, but certainly not least, was our server Andre! He was attentive, informative and just a great server. Thank you Andre for making our anniversary lovely.“
“Good place. Had platter crab shrimp gumbo good fried shrimp good, French fries good, fried catfish breading did not stay on fell off as you tried to eat.. They had 1 person trying to take care of 5 tables and 4 bar patrons slow response. Seafood nachos were good. Mens bathroom needs to be serviced regularly as you opened door you could smell the odor.“

“They have always had the best live crawfish in my vicinity, always serviced with a smile and a friendly professional attitude, I usually have to purge them once, maybe twice if they need it, but I have only been disappointed one time, that was when I received a batch of them and almost half of them were dead. On my next purchase they hand picked them, and only 3 of them were no good by the time I got done cooking them, they aim to please their customers, and I definitely recommend them to anyone who loves good quality crawfish “

I live overseas and worked with Doug to plan the party from 8000 miles away without every stepping foot in the restaurant or seeing the Emmitte Room in real life until the day before the event. It was really delicious. REALLY loved the way how they cut the shrimp to the way it is easy to peel.We also got their boiled egg, potato, sausage, and corn. Really really good!!Their service was good too, as it was our first time the young ladies were really nice and patient about ordering.Price point. The wings were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. “Dined tonight with a group of nine to celebrate my wife's birthday. They installed a new WiFi system this week, so I had to drive to the restaurant to make my reservation since the phones were down Tuesday night and Wednesday midday. No big deal since they serve my wife's favorite steak in Texas, the filet mornay caprese and I was not willing to chance not getting a reservation.As usual the meal was fantastic, we had the spinach artichoke dip to start with the best chips. Main courses were the filet, pork Marsala, and the beef and blue ribeye. I'm not a blue cheese fan, but I subbed Boursin cheese on top.Only hiccup was at the end. The waitress asked if I wanted it all on one check and I confirmed. However, we were never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee (we did) before being presented with the check. This had never happened in any of my many visits and was a poor way to end a wonderful night and celebration for my wife.“
“We stopped by to grab lunch on our way to Hobby airport. We told the hostess that we were short on time, they had no problem with this. Sat us down and our waiter Chris came over expressed to us he knew we were on our way to the airport and would get our order in and out quickly as he could. We had already saw the menu while in the car on our way to the place so we had an idea what to order and order fast. It was 4 of us my husband, and two sons. We ordered 2 dozen oysters, the dos platter fish and shrimp, and sweet chili wings and boudin egg rolls, and 4 Dos XX’s. We enjoyed everything!! I tell u what the outside of the establishment and area is not appealing to the eyes, but the inside was nice and cozy, great staff and food make up for it. We will definitely be going back again when in the area! Didn’t take any pic of the food due to our time limit, we were in a hurry that we wouldn’t miss our flight. Our waiter Chris even brought us to go drinks. Our bill came out to a little over $100 for a family of 4, we were quite surprised because of the amount of food that we were served.“
